Storybrooke Short Story

There is injustice in the world everyday and all too often, many bad things happen to good people. In Saki’s short story, “The Storyteller”, the theme that the world isn’t just black and white is shown through his use of symbolism, foreshadowing, and irony. Saki’s use of symbolism is demonstrated through his use of the the color black and white. In the story, ‘black’ represents evil in the world along with death and depression. For example, the colors of the wolf help us explain this symbol of color and that he was a bad wolf. For example, Saki states that the wolf was “mud color all over, with a black tongue and pale gray eyes that gleamed with unspeakable ferocity.” The color white resembles the innocence, purity, and goodness in the story. This is Bertha's dress that she is wearing walking with the medals. For example, Saki says “her pinafore was so spotless white and clean that it could be seen for a great distance. The bachelor uses this color to help the kids' picture what he is talking about and give them a visual note. The theme helps us realize about how there is injustice in this world. For example, Bertha is a good person and she has all these medals for being so “horribly good.” When Bertha is invited the the princes park because of how good she is, she dies by a wolf because of her white dress being so white the wolf saw her first instead of the little pigs. Because of Bertha’s “white” innocence, she is killed by the evil, dark wolf, showing the reader the

June and Elizabeth soon see and hear flashing lights coming towards them. The police, ambulance, and fire truck are rushing over to the scene. Still in shock about the whole situation, June is approached by a police officer. The police officer's states his name is Kurt. Kurt then tries to comfort June and Elizabeth in this alarming situation. Elizabeth is pacing back and forth looking back at the leveled car and wondering if her dad is going to be alright.

My story begins when my mom and I moved from Crafton, near Pittsburgh, to my grandparents’ house in Schwenksville at the beginning of first grade. In Crafton, there were not a lot children in my neighborhood; therefore, my wonderful mother and heart rending loneliness were my only friends. Fortunately, in my grandparent’s huge neighborhood, there were three amazing girls that became my best friends. However, those girls were not enough to combat my loneliness. At times these girls were mean to me, but my caring mother was there to lift my spirits. My mother was understanding and always knew what to say when I was lonely. As the story continues my life will hit an unexpected turn when I accepted a last minute invitation from a friend to attend

There was so many things that was happening. Here she was following a guy that she didn't even know who he was. But she had thought that he was someone else. Ruby was the one who was the tracker. But then again she didn't know what she thought that she saw. It could be Thomas but then again why would he be running? Ashley thought that it was her father but then she remembered that he was dead. But there was so much weird things that was happening. That this could have actually happen.

The person looked up in disbelief, and they went back to work. She told the people to have a nice day whenever she got the chance, as that was what her mother said that she should do. No one wants to hurt a sweet girl, and even besides that, it made her feel good that she got to be kind to them.

“I had a very average day today,” she said, sounding as if she almost relished it.

That one thing that is constantly there. It doesn’t go away, it’s like a fly that keeps coming back you keep swatting at it but it keeps finding a way to get to you. It’s pain, it’s grief, it’s anguish and you have to find a way to live with that. It feels as though you have bricks on your shoulders at all times and you just want to throw them off but you can’t they are stuck there. This is going to tell the story of a young girl and her struggle with pain from such a young age.

Now that the little demon stood outside the magical barriers that surrounded the enchanted forest, he didn’t know what to do. It was freezing, wet, and snowing really hard. He could hardly see anything, and despite his name, he hated the cold. In the section of the forest, he’s from, it was constantly warm and sunny… so he was barely wearing any clothes and had no shoes on. It never troubled him before now. He was forced out of his thoughts when he felt something hit him. “Yvette!” A tiny fairy laid in the snow, and he immediately scooped the small being up in his hands and planted the fairy in his bag. He could see a vague light off on the horizon and began sprinting as fast as his somewhat numb legs could move. When he reached the house he began pounding on the door, praying someone was home. After a while, though he gave up and turned the doorknob. Grateful that it was unlocked. He then went over to the fireplace and tossed in a log, that was piled up nearby, before producing a fire. “I don’t think she knows her name.” I eyed my daughter. She was crawling along the kitchen floor, and was undoubtedly scouting the kitchen for something small and chokable to put in her month as she was prone to doing these days. She reached out a hand, extending her pudgy fingers towards the family dog’s tail. “Rilee!” I yelled, scrambling before she got a hold of the elderly dog, but she didn’t acknowledge my call.

“Where are you? For the love of God, I’ve been waiting for almost an hour already!” Eunah yelled through the phone as the man he was talking to only laughed apologetically.
