Success Is A Peaceful And Happy Life

I would define success as achieving a goal that you set out for. The three most important things on John Wooden's Pyramid of Success are Confidence, Condition and Fight. These create success in many ways. If you have confidence to win you will always win or come very close. If your team is in condition you will be able to outwork the other team and be success. And if you willing to fight to win then you will be successful in every accept of life. I thought these were important because of how the sports I play I use all of these to be successful in these and in life in general.

Success is a word that really hard to define, because everyone will have a different definition for this word. In fact, there no exact definition for the word "success". For a student, maybe the success means to pass all courses of the semester; for a business man, signing a importance contract and get a lot of money are successes; and for a president, leading the country to develop and make the people have a better life are success. For me, I also have my own definition for the word "success". When I was a kid, I really want to be a scientist, but after I become mature, my thinking has become more mature and my definition of success also

The definition of success is in the eye of the beholder. More than three-fourths of your life is spent working to become successful. People are told during childhood to work as hard as they can so they can grow up and make lots of money. But the word success can be taken in many different ways. Everyone has a different understanding of what success means to them. Generally, success means fulfilling the goals that you set for yourself. For some, success is measured by popularity and riches; for others success is determined by the amount of happiness that they feel.

What is success? Is success something that you can eat? Is it a physical object you can touch or a psychological feeling in the mind? Success is characterized differently by various people. For some people it means wealth. Others it means happiness. To me, success means making sure my family is living a healthy happy life. It means making valuable life decisions and having a feeling of belonging. Success is not only about helping yourself reach full potential. It is about bringing others along and giving them the opportunity to excel together in life.

Who defines success? We would like to believe that we all do. That it is our beliefs that conceive the idea of success in society. That the true definition of success is what we believe it is–what we make it to be. But we don’t define success, society does.

“Success” is a term that is a part of our daily life. It can be defined in a variety of ways, such as achievements, awards, and college degrees. Some will even deem success as having a family, having a well-paying job, or even feel that living an uncomplicated life of contentment. But in the world that we live in today, there is not a set definition of success to go by. Only you as a person can give the meaning of success.

Success is something we all reach for. As human beings we love accomplishing things and reaching for our dreams. Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose, as well as a person or thing that achieves desired aims or attains prosperity. We gain prosperity from succeeding. Succeeding in the workplace, on the athletic field, in the classroom, and on the list goes.

As Andrea Caumont in her research “6 Key Finding about Going to College,” clarifies, “College grades are more satisfied with their jobs.” In college, especially in these days, students who finished their studying in college are finding “themselves on a career path, rather than just working at a job to get them by” (Caumont). From this point, students who are doing well in college life, and who are responsible for themselves in organizing their time, their work, and their life, are successful. When trying to define the word success we can find other words with similar meanings. Words that can be used almost interchangeably with success, one such word is accomplish. Success and accomplish both indicate the end of a journey, a point that took a great deal of effort to reach. On the other hand, there is also an important difference in the two words. The word success in indicative of a good outcome, something that is happy.

Many people measure success in life by the amount of money a person makes. Similarly, does being successful in college mean you have to have the highest grade point average? I do not think your GPA measures your success in college and I do not think the amount of money you make measures your success in life. So what does it mean to be successful in college? I asked my mom this question and I agreed with what she said, “You get out of it what you put into it, but, people measure success differently. So, I don’t know.”

What is success? Is it the process of doing a task and receiving a positive result acceptable amongst the community, or is it simply achieving ones own personal goals? Dictionary.com's definition of the word success defines success as the attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like. Nonetheless, there are many other definitions of success that do not list any of those traits. Success does not have anything to do with materialistic things but can be tied to broader concepts. Set goals that relate to the high priorities in your life. Without this type of focus, you can end up with far too many goals, leaving you too little time to devote to each one. Goal achievement requires commitment, so to maximize the likelihood of success, you need to feel a sense of urgency and have an "I must do this" attitude. When you don't have this, you risk putting off what you need to do to make the goal a reality. This in turn leaves you feeling disappointed and frustrated with yourself, both of which are de-motivating. And you can end up in a very destructive "I can't do anything or be successful at anything" frame of mind. Accept personal responsibility for their college experience by knowing how they learn and how their learning preference affects their interactions with teachers. Actively listening, manage time effectively, take effective notes, and prepare well for examinations, present clear, well-organized written and oral reports. Assuring one?s success requires setting goals and develops strategies to achieve those goals. Develop competencies for dealing with issues of cultural diversity and how "culture" impacts their college career. Identify resources that are available on campus and in the community that can assist with problems related to academics, health, social life, financial aid, and other issues. The definition of success may vary depending on who you ask. many believe that the only way to succeed is to have a lot of money; however, there others that believe just having a roof over your head when going to sleep would be considered successful. I am one of those believers. I believe if you have a bed to go sleep at night, food on the dinner table, a healthy family you are considered successful. Every American would love to live the “American dream” which considers a well-paying job, a beautiful house and an amazing family. Happiness is a big factor where I got my definition from.
