Once upon a time in a village located in Germany, Leipzig, was in the middle of a forest called the Fyteia Forest. When there were no storms, right after the beginning of time. There were two people that everyone knew very well, Keravno and Vronti. Keravno was a very beautiful young woman with blond hair and bright blue eyes. Vronti was very muscular, not much older than Keravno, had brown hair and green eyes. They were in love and planned to marry each other one day. However Cupid’s twin brother Sore, wanted to separate them. He wants the world to be covered in hate, because the more hate in the world there is the more powerful he becomes. He was jealous of his brother because he got all the love and fame even though he is ugly and disgusting.
One day they decided to go on a date and have a picnic. They went to a secret grotto in the forest just outside of the village. It was at night so they put fireflies in jars. They were eating very nice food, then Vronti spilled some gravy on Keravno’s dress. At first Vronti was laughed. However, Keravno was not laughing. She was quite angry because she got struck by Sore’s hate arrow. “You daft fool, I will destroy you!” She shouted in angry rage. Vronti was shocked so he said. “What are you saying?” “You heard me. I will destroy you.” she said. “I only spilt gravy.” “Yes and when I kill you, your loved ones will say ‘it was only Vronti” “No, they won’t say that.” “I’ve heard the rumors about you.” she said.
Vronti still confused started to argue with Keravno. “Are you foolish enough to start arguing about spilled gravy?” “Yes because this is my mother’s dress. I don’t think she’ll mind, she’s dead!” Keravno turned to cry. Vronti said in a regretful voice. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to…” Then he was struck by one of Sore’s arrows and said, “I meant it in every way.” They went on and on and on. When the village chief, Archigos heard all the commotion he knew exactly what must of happened. So he concocted a mixture and threw it at them. They started to glow and in a beam they were shot up in the air. Archigos sent them to the sky where Ilios was, Keravno’s uncle. Ilios gave up his mortal life for his village so they could have sun light. He was an
In seconds, her chat flips to a joke her husband made about Juliet coming to age and “falling on her back”. This shows that she is a person who is not quiet and is full of crude humor. She also cherishes the moments she spent with Juliet as she thinks back to them-- only a person who cares for another will do such things.
Dorothy Allison's “I'm Working on My Charm” is a story of a young sixteen-year-old girl who works as a waitress with her mother. As a young daughter coming to the same field as the mother, the mother becomes a role model here and supports and helps her daughter on becoming a good waitress. She makes sure the environment her daughter is working on is good and that she is aware of the Yankees. Yankees doesn't see waitresses on the same level as they are. So, the mother is worried how her daughter will deal with Yankees and makes sure she knows how to handle different situations. The daughter is taught to use her charm to influence people. Also, Mabel, her mother's friend, teaches her how to bet on tips from customer. This story illustrates how an older person can be a guide for younger ones to be successful and accepted in the society.

After she grabbed the clock, Aristarchus threw the potion straight at her. She had no idea what the potion was for or what it did, but she automatically knew it was bad. Before Olympias even had a chance to react Eurydice jumped in front of Olympias, the potion shattering all over her. Eurydice fell to the ground, crippling into a ball. Olympias, enraged with anger, shot an iron cage on top of Aristarchus, imprisoning him. Olympias wept as Eurydice at the loss of her bright, beautiful friend. An idea suddenly started to form in Olympias’s head as she looked from the bright nymph to the dark god. She would place Eurydice in the sky beside her to warm the people and give them light, and she would place Aristarchus in his prison in the sky to provide sleep and darkness to the people. They would be called the sun and the moon, and man would finally learn about
People just accept how she lives because she has a strong opinion of herself and is ready to argue it with anyone at anytime. One day, during a meal, Harpo warns Squeak not to laugh because it was bad luck for a woman to laugh. Sofia laughs in his face saying, 'I already had my bad luck. I had enough to keep me laughing for the rest of my life.'; (208). Sofia has no trouble expressing herself at the expense of others, especially men.

At nightfall, he confronts a robber who attacks him with vicious speed. Kino staggers away from the fight with “a long deep cut in his cheek…[and] a deep bleeding slash” (pg. 55). The robber was obviously seeking the pearl and the effect of his actions ended with Kino being severely injured. This is followed by Kino beating up his wife after discovering her attempt to throw away the pearl at dusk. Juana felt like a “sheep before the butcher” (pg. 58) but she understood the drastic measures which Kino resorted to. After Kino’s surge of anger, he returns to his home only to discover more “dark figures” (pg.58) lurking about frantically trying to steal the pearl. He lunges and plunges his knife into one figure. The result is fatal. After Kino’s murder, him and Juana have no choice but to flee to the city to be rid of the cursed pearl but instead, find their boat destroyed which in turn just ruined his lifelong financial support. In this scenario the pearl causes Kino to be attacked, beat up his loving wife, murder a man and forces him and his family to flee the
In the story “Eleven” the narrator Rachel acts more like a child. In the eighth paragraph the character Rachel stated, “That’s not, I don’t, you’re not… Not mine”, I finally say in the little voice that was maybe me when I was four.” This reveals Rachel is acting like she was four when she said that sentence. Also, Rachel said “… I’ve shoved the red sweater to the tippy-tip corner of my desk and its hanging all over the edge like a waterfall, but I don’t care.” This illustrates Rachel was acting over dramatic just like a child by pushing the sweater to the tippy-tip corner of her desk. Rachel includes,” … I’m crying like I’m three”… “My face all hot and spit coming out of my mouth because I can’t stop the little animal noises from coming

As he reached the bottom of the cliff, he stripped off his clothes and waited for the moment of attack, this had to be done before moonrise. Kino drew his knife and slithered closer to the trackers. Two of the trackers were asleep, however, Kino lunged forward, killing the first tracker without hesitation, Kino was a machine, a rabid animal that could not be stopped. The other Two trackers were wide awake and circling Kino. He lashed out and killed the man with the rifle. The last tracker ran fleeing for his life, although the act was pouch. Kino rifle that had previously been on the ground was now in Kino’s hands. He swung the rifle around giving the man a devastating blow to the head. With that all the trackers were dead and the small family was safe for the moment. At that moment Kino’s bravado vanished., causing Kino to slump to the ground.
“Onii-chan! I made dinner! Come look! Look!” Alluka called with a bright smile. Killua looked at her and smiled. “Hey, Leorio i have to go.” Then he hung up without waiting for a response, pushing off of the wall to sit at the small table with his sister. She always knew how to make him smile. She knew him better than he knew himself.
