My main interest in the Vidant Health Careers Internship is to gain hands on clinical experience with professionals. I would like to strengthen my prior knowledge of health careers that I have gained from the Health Science Academy and being a Volunteen at Vidant Medical Center by doing this internship. I hope to gain a better understanding for how my future career in pharmacy will be and this opportunity is the best way to do so. When I am selected to be an intern for Vidant Medical Center during my senior year at North Pitt High School, I will make sure to prioritize my internship at Vidant to meet and exceed the minimum requirements. As for my expected course load, I plan on taking only one Advanced Placement course and four other honors
The goal of the internship was to complete a 150 hours and provide a weekly summary of activities. In order to get the internship I had to do a phone screening with Mary Doe. She is the administrative assistant to Commander John Doe. Who is the Assistant Associate Director of Facility Support and also the internship supervisor for the SIU Health Care Management students at FHCC. I meet with CDR John Doe for a brief interview. We went over my goals and what I hope to gain by interning at FHCC. I felt interning at FHCC would be a natural transition because CDR Wallis has a background in Healthcare Administration.
Being around several different cultures primarily the Hispanic community I already know a lot about their needs but I also understand that I have a lot more to learn. Being a pharmacy intern at Virginia Garcia will expose me to new challenge’s and prepare me for my future as health care provider. Being able to work with the clinical team at Virginia Garcia will be like nothing I have ever experienced before because I will get to learn how to apply my knowledge that I have learned in pharmacy school while also learning how to work closely with people of lower socioeconomic status. These skills that I will obtain at Virginia Garcia will make me a better pharmacist and give me confidence to even possibly pursue a career as a clinical pharmacist. I have always wanted to be board certified in diabetes because this is my passion and I think any skills I learn from Virginia Garcia will only make me more passionate about diabetes and in general being a health care
I am a California Department of Insurance (CDI) Licensed Agent, who poses advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Large-scale Document processing. All of my hard skills will serve me well in my career path due to the fact that there is no learning curve, I am already familiar with numerous technology software and adapt quickly to change or new products. Being in the insurance business has exposed me to senior products and tools that will serve well in the Geriatric field. However, I have had no exposure to the Healthcare industry. Therefore, I would like to focus on gaining an internship in order to obtain experience in the field.

I feel that this really opened the door for my yearning to do something within the medical field. During this internship I watched Dr. Morin perform total knee replacements, total hips, and other minor orthopedic surgeries. While the surgery was going on, I would stand next to the Nurse Anesthetist. I had told Dr. Morin that I had an interest in Anesthesia, so he had the Nurse Anesthetist
It will help me learn how to interact and connect with people in the workforce. Not to mention, this internship will give me more knowledge and skills that I can utilize where other people around me might not have the same skills that I have obtain. Furthermore, my goal is to become a health administrator and I believe that learning new systems can help me make changes in the hospital more smoothly. Without knowing different operation systems, it may delay my work and it can affect the people around me. With more knowledge, I can be quick on my feet and build up the hospital’s reputation and prevent any problems that can

Prior to applying to the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, I extensively researched the institution and spoke with past alums. From this I learned of the school’s goals of giving back to the community in addition to producing wonderful physicians. The wide range of facilities that your schools uses for internships provides a many unique experiences that arise from working in different communities and types of medical care facilities. I feel that diversity in learning is what makes an individual stronger; the more you see, the more you experience leading to a more well-rounded individual.
I have identified this Agency as a site that will integrate my education as a Health Services Manager. The site supervisor will help me in developing different plans that will coordinate with various emergency personnel at the state, local, and municipal levels, and make sure emergency contingencies are covered. I will be using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of any problems that I would encounter while doing my internship. I will develop a further understanding of the challenges that I will be facing with when responding to patients. This would also help me with my communication
I’m interested in CCF, because it has an excellent reputation for being patient centered and also a strong commitment to medical education and research. CCF has become a valuable component of integrated healthcare delivery systems offering a full variety of care through information technology. In my opinion is the best place to bring to the practice all the skills learned during the MSBI program. The combination of my experience, education, and motivation to excel will make me an asset to the organization, and at the same time, the organization will help me to incorporate new knowledge and experience from the Biomedical Informatics industry.
I come from a family filled with people in health-related careers. From a young age, I was always fascinated by my mom and aunt’s stories and recollection of their experiences and accomplishments in their health-related careers. Their stories not only amazed me they also sparked my interest in the health professions. During the summers my mom always took on home health nursing and the summer of my freshman year in high school she invited me to accompany while she tended to her patients. Through that I was able to see firsthand what nursing was all about and that influenced my decision to be a nurse.
Acquiring a first-class internship program in the field of the healthcare industry is an effective step towards a successful profession.
