On October 12th, Supernatural season 13 began on the CW. The show was created by Eric Kripe and premiered on September 13, 2005. It was scripted for only 3 seasons but later extended to 5. After the 5 seasons, Eric stepped down and passed over the reigns. The show follows Dean and Sam Winchester, two brothers who lead anything but normal lives. When the two were younger their mother was killed by a demon. From there their father raised them to be hunters but not the kind of hunters you are probably thinking of. Instead they hunt demons, ghosts and other “supernatural” beings. Before long, tradegy strikes again and the boys lose their father. Knowing their father wanted them to keep going, Sam and Dean continue on “saving people, hunting things,
Friday Night Lights: A Town, A Team, and A Dream is a 1990 non-fiction novel wrote by H.G. Bissinger. The story chronicles the pressures and expectations of the Permian Panthers football team in socially divided Odessa, Texas. Throughout the story, challenges are presented with each of the protagonists: James “Boobie” Miles, Mike Winchell, Don Billingsley, Gary Gaines, Brian Chavez, and Ivory Christian.
Racial inequality extends beyond socioeconomic measures: it shapes social interactions. Filmmaker Ava DuVernay explores the history of racial inequality in the United States, focusing on the fact that the nation’s prisons are disproportionately filled with African-Americans. The film begins with the fact: “the U.S. is known to hold five percent of the world’s population,” then sharpens into the idea of although this is true, the U.S. also hold “twenty-five percent of the world’s prisoners” (00:00:23-00:00:30). 13th is based on the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which abolished slavery but also included a provision, which the documentary brings to light (00:01:53-00:05:45). The documentary touches on chattel slavery, D.W. Griffith’s
Analysis of Friday Night Lights Friday Night Lights is a good view of how football envelops the live of everyone in the Texas town of Odessa. While it does use football as a main theme, I don't believe it is a book mainly about sports. The story is mostly about the people in a town that has nothing to look forward to except football. The story chronicles the lives of a few players and their parents. The author describes their background, characteristics, and reactions to football and life
Ava DuVernay’s documentary, 13th, is a powerful analysis of the 13th Amendment included in the United States Constitution. Released October 7th, 2016, 13th depicts African Americans, even after the abolishment of slavery, as legally exploited through the 13th amendment. The goal of the documentary seems to strongly portray to its viewers the manipulation of politics at the expense of Blacks, yet again. 13th effectively demonstrates the struggles African Americans face in the arms of the criminal justice system in a powerful and emotion-provoking manner.

1) After viewing the 13th documentary, I felt helpless, inspired, and stirred to action. Throughout the film, it shows the crucial way white people mistreated black people and how blacks had little to no freedom in America. The message of the film is hopeful and inspiring because it shows that if you want change, you have to fight for it and stand up for yourself. The blacks started to fight for themselves and their rights.
Inhaling and exhaling a deep breath, Veronica tried to ignore the ticking in her head that counted the seconds she’d been seated at Dominick’s. Her table was a strategic choice; far from, but angled towards, the door- a perfect position to watch for any man that had the slightest potential to be CA152. Talking to a stranger and daring to meet the man and be nervous about it, there was some silliness in that. Waiting at a table alone, with a rose as identification felt completely silly to Veronica. Wait a minute, was that… Veronica’s watchful eyes caught a glimpse of Logan Echolls, striding into Dominick’s with a big grin on his face.
Everyone knows about supernatural and teenagers nowadays are so interested in it. The reasons supernatural is popular in teenage group are because of their dependency on technology, their minds of self and their future that they are getting closer to. The television show Gilmore Girls was a very successful “dramedy” created by Amy Sherman-Palladino that starred Laure Graham and Alexis Bledel. It is centered around a young mother named Lorelai (Graham) and the daughter that she had at sixteen named Rory (Bledel) who live in a very small town, the fictional Stars Hollow, Connecticut. Lorelai’s parents, Richard and Emily Gilmore, live in Hartford, Connecticut and are rich and proper and have very specific ideas of what a life should look like. Lorelai never felt like she belonged in that world, which is why she moved to Stars Hollow when she was seventeen, just a year after she had Rory. Lorelai began her life in Stars Hollow by living in a potting shed behind The Independence Inn, where she got

I have not watched the x-files before, but from the beginning I realized it’s a suspense episode about the supernatural. The episode started with a teenage son arguing with his mother, she didn’t want him to go somewhere which made me feel something crazy about to happen. A mystery crime of unusual nature where two FBI special agents Mulder and Scully were in charge of solving it.
Before revising my review of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life I must reevaluate the purpose, the strengths, and the weakness of my original review. What I determined the project or purpose of my review to be is to express the various emotions that fans of the original series felt while watching the revival. I feel I accomplished; however, I do see room to improve my expressions to help include and convince new viewers. This leads into some of the weakness of my original review. Although I made some specific allusions to the original series such as the reference to Lorelai’s coffee addiction and to “The Life and Death Brigade” these examples did not supply any substantial content for the readers. Fans of the original series may understand them,
The CW’s television series Supernatural has recently wrapped up it’s tenth season. The Television Critics Association press tour panel asked the crew some questions pertaining to the show’s seemingly endless life.
In “Supernatural,” the characters are better developed than in “Doctor Who;” for example, Jo Harvelle. While in most shows a girl like Jo would have been portrayed like someone who only thinks about boys, fashion, and other “girly” things, “Supernatural” does not portrayed her like that. In “Supernatural”, Jo was first introduced as a rebellious teenager who is always arguing with her mom, Ellen Harvelle, about her future. But unlike other shows, Ellen and Jo do not argue about whom Jo marries; they argue about whether Jo
