A tactical mindset is a personal, private and individualistic perception of extraordinary self-interest. This is positive and proactive posture for interpersonal interaction with others. That is to say, when you leave your "safe house". Family, friends and those you frolic with, naturally require different options for defensive tactics. You have to decide that in both a responsible and accountable way. For you though, to put it simply in the trouble-free basic conception of contemporary post-modernism, you are responsible for your own security, safety and survivability. Tactical asserts the psycho-dynamic posture or well-formed healthy self-reliance. Not a collectivist sense of distorted entitlement based on the laborious efforts of others …show more content…
That said, while you might have a responsibility for others under your supervision, care, or counsel, you still have a supremely divine responsibility to yourself. Stay safe, be vigilant and keep prepared for the probability of subsequent eventualities. You never know where sinister individuals will act out their sense of extreme self-interest. On top of that, forget the socio-psycho-babble psychic epistemology about the external forces that "make you do things". Remember, it's not what goes from the outside in; it's what comes for the inside out. You create your purposes, intentions and subsequent actions you freely and knowingly commit. You're the only one who makes you do things, good, bad or indifferent, evil and wickedly sinful. No body else, and no ifs, ands or buts. Just you and your grandiose need for self-gratification at the expense of others. Meanwhile, many of us classical criminologists, or rational theorists, get sick and tired of the constant noisy, boring and wearisome "round up the usual suspects" of clever deception, distraction and sleight of hand. This relates to myriad fallacies of inference that are the customary mode of social communicative
It is easy to blame someone for what you do, but it is very hard to accept the consequences that this can unchained. Throughout human history, there has been a believe of a mythical force that some call god, others fate and others universal order. But all of the eras, humans have believed in a superior force; and they think that the reason they exist is to feel secure. Personally, I’m a catholic that believes in god, but I think god gave us humans the most precious gift, Decision. This Decision power making can be a humongous advantage or a problem depending of how you use it. The negative trait of a decision is the consequences you get for it. In Macbeth from Shakespeare, Macbeth is predicted by some witches that he will be king. Macbeth after
There are multiple reasons why soldiers should follow the orders they are given. An order is a task given to a soldier of something that needs to be done in a timely and efficient manner. The three main reasons why it is important for soldiers to follow orders are chaos, selfless-service, and being disciplined. When you’re in the army you need to stop and think if it will harm you or your battle buddies. When a soldier doesn’t follow orders while in combat zone it makes the mission ineffective, if a single soldier in the unit is combat ineffective it lowers the chances of winning, making the leaders deal with a soldier that can’t handle the workload of the unit.
This platoon is a family and as a family we should work as such no questions asked when something needs to be completed as an nco I need to complete the mission first at all times to get it accomplished in a timely manner and ensure that it is completed to standard from LT to pvt everyone should police themselves to accomplice the task at hand if ssg parou needs something completed by Thursday it is because someone above him needs it as well and we should never put our team member or leadership in a position where they are embarrassed or talked down to because an nco couldn’t complete their tack at hand and as an nco there should be no excuse to why you can complete a simple task that is why I am an nco to lead by example.
The 4th Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) has a proud history of accomplishments. It has served in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Historically, the morale across the brigade was high; leaders took care of their Soldiers, and all of them did their best to train them, accomplish missions successfully, and support them in any way. The 4th ABCT HQ, as well as each of the battalions, were highly efficient and effective, and most of them were jubilant to be part of the brigade. Three years ago, one of the best maneuver brigades in FORSCOM was the 4th ABCT. The brigade had focus; leaders and soldiers were dedicated, and there was a strong work ethics. However, the 4th is facing some challenges ahead that are going to make difficult to reach its full potential. Amongst several leadership problems, there is a major one. There is not an organizational vision in the brigade, and if there is, it is unclear and poorly evident.
“We want leaders that are tough, resilient, that can think, and out-fight and out-smart the enemy. We want them to be adaptive and agile and flexible. And, we want them not only competent, but we want leaders of character.” (General Mark A. Milley, 2015) Character is not a trait we take for granted and most likely have an attraction for, but honestly never had to define when asked about by our superiors and peers. It is a word most Soldiers desire to have their name attached to it, and yet the standards of its realization remains rather vague when spoken about. When the military say that a Soldiers is someone of good character, we mean that they may have many
During the Indian Wars an innocent chief was forced to fight in a war for his people's lives because they were deemed a threat even though all he sought was peace. A war could have been prevented if they had only talked with Black Hawk instead of firing upon him and his followers. Black Hawk came from the Sauk American Indian tribe in the Northeast and wanted nothing more than his people to live on the lands their ancestors did. Black Hawk’s tribe resided in Iowa and the surrounding areas. Then United States government decided that they wanted to take the land away from Black Hawk’s tribe for the use of white settlers. This of course upset Black Hawk as he believed that the land was his and refused to leave the lands. So, Black Hawk led his
“Moral responsibility requires autonomy or self-determination: that our actions are caused and controlled by, and only by, our selves. To use a slogan popular in the literature: We act freely and are morally responsible only if we are the ultimate source of our actions.” (3)
If I was in command on a steel building fire in my area and the crews inside advised me that it was getting to hot in there, even with crews outside trying to cool the steel. A steel building holds more heat than wood frame construction. Wood burns through faster than steel to collapse a building. Temperature above 1,000 degrees F, the steel tends to soften and fail in a fire. In recent test by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) E-119 Fireproofing steel columns, the columns fails when a temperature of 1,200 degrees F is exceeded at one point or 1,000 degrees F is exceeded on the average in the column. That’s why I would pull all my firefighters out and
Leadership is a personal skill that has to be developed and improved upon daily, just like an athlete works on his craft. We all come from different walks of life and that is often a factor in the way our leadership styles are shaped. Our differences of race, gender, religion, home environment, and lifestyle all have an effect on the way we are led growing up. It is a skill that is mastered over time, while never being perfected. Like anything else in life, leadership skills are often developed from who we are, where we come from and the people in our life who have taught us their knowledge.
Army officer who in charge of leading military missions must bear in mind that his success or failure is dependent on his commanding style. There are typical ways through which an officer is more successful than the other is. Just think about why a great Greek’s military leader, Thucydides, failed to save the city of Amphipolis. He was distant from the army to protect the important military strategic city. Thucydides’ failure was his absence that made his army psychologically impotent and the enemy courageous. ()
Based on his findings, Zimbardo explains,“There are times when external circumstances can overwhelm us, and we do things we never thought. If you’re not aware that this can happen, you can be seduced by evil. We need inoculations against our own potential for evil. We have to acknowledge it. Then we can change it” (Dreifus 1). It is important to understand the factors that may lead a person to commit acts of evil, but still hold perpetrators accountable for their actions. Because of the lack of individuality among prisoners and absence of supervision of the guards, ordinary men became perpetrators of evil in the Holocaust and Stanford Prison Experiment.
In 2015, Ken Levy wrote an article discussing the implications situationism has on moral and criminal responsibility. Situationism is the argument that individuals perform bad or evil actions not because they have always been evil, but rather because they become bad. This argument allows an explanation for previous theories like dispositions, which tried to show that people who act evil are naturally evil, but this did not show how individuals character or personality could change over time. Levy hopes to prove that situationism negates moral responsibility, which then leads to the statement that situationism is not a valid criminal excuse, so you do not need moral responsibility in order to have criminal responsibility. This paper will look
The word discipline comes from the Latin word disciplīna which means "to instruct". Discipline is a specific form of instruction which develops self-control, character, and efficiency.
The aim of developing a tactical plan is to identify the course of action you will take in order to achieve your businesses goals. The purpose of tactical planning is also to provide clear steps that must be carried out, be it on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis. Monitoring the course of action your business will take in order to achieve its strategically planned goal is crucial. By devising such a plan in Mt. Sinai’s case it is assurance that are on the path to becoming the leading department in providing ambulatory care. One tactic we hope to employ is to create a mandatory minimum of continued medical education for clinical care representatives. With new medical breakthroughs and innovative approaches reshaping the way care is
