A tactical mindset is a personal, private and individualistic perception of extraordinary self-interest. This is positive and proactive posture for interpersonal interaction with others. That is to say, when you leave your "safe house". Family, friends and those you frolic with, naturally require different options for defensive tactics. You have to decide that in both a responsible and accountable way. For you though, to put it simply in the trouble-free basic conception of contemporary post-modernism, you are responsible for your own security, safety and survivability. That said, while you might have a responsibility for others under your supervision, care, or counsel, you still have a supremely divine responsibility to yourself. Stay safe, be vigilant and keep prepared for the probability of subsequent eventualities. You never know where sinister individuals will act out their sense of extreme self-interest. On top of that, forget the socio-psycho-babble psychic epistemology about the external forces that "make you do things". Remember, it's not what goes from the outside in; it's what comes for the inside out. You create your purposes, intentions and subsequent actions you freely and knowingly commit. You're the only one who makes you do things, good, bad or indifferent, evil and wickedly sinful. No body else, and no ifs, ands or buts. Just you and your grandiose need for self-gratification at the expense of others. Meanwhile, many of us classical criminologists, or rational theorists, get sick and tired of the constant noisy, boring and wearisome "round up the usual suspects" of clever deception, distraction and sleight of hand.
