Young people these days get tattoos mostly on what they believe whether the environment say it is right to be or not. This is their skin and their tattoo, they do not need others’ opinions. This is like a public announcement that they like to be different and unique depending on how they feel inside individually. Even though tattoos can be removed, they like to assume tattooing as one of the adventuresome cases as they will not be going to remove it or regret it till the last breath, let it be
First, Many people choose to get a tattoo to commemorate a loved one who has passed or celebrate a special event in their lives. "Tattoos are a wonderful way to keep the memory alive of that special person". When getting a tattoo, people should take the reason into consideration and decide whether it is something they want for a lifetime. Tattoos are very personal and should be treated as such.
For the past two millennium people have had tattoos, these people over the years ranged from warriors, royalty, sailors, circus workers, bikers, and more recently even doctors, lawyers, as well as the average everyday person. More recently, over at least the past century or two, more and more people have discriminated against people with tattoos. Over the past thirty years the only people to have openly displayed any tattoos were usually inmates or sailors. Considering that these men were usually away from home for long periods of time, where the people at home where looking down on people with visible ink already, and wasn’t susceptible to the lifestyle of tattooing. As more people became influenced by this reoccurring lifestyle, more people
Although there is history that proves tattoos were used for many reasons, some people still fell into groups that are considered stereotypes. The stereotypes of people with tattoos were considered to be criminals, drug addicts, or habitual underachievers. There is somewhat of a statistical truth to that slander. Sadly when it came to people who had chosen to show their tattoos in public, the stereotype is all too real. That is no surprise though; people with tattoos are treated poorly by the majority. Traditionally, tattoo clientele was considered to be that of bikers, bad-boy personalities, and truckers; however all that seems to be changing. There is still the tough guy image to contend with. However, it is mostly just with the older population. Chris Weskamp told the Denver Business Journal
“Why get a tattoo? You do realize that they are permeant, right?” People get tattoos for a specific reason. Someone could get one to honor a family member that has passed away and they want to keep their memory alive, or they have a matching one with a loved one as a symbol of friendship, or they have always wanted one, but never knew what to get until the right time. Everyone has a reason to get a tattoo. Such as death, loved ones, and timing. Tattoos mean different things to different people.
Tattooing is an ancient tribal tradition practiced by everyone but the Romans and Greeks. It can be a way of expressing one’s self, honouring someone, or telling a story. In Canada, thirty-eight percent of adults have at least one tattoo, that is approximately fourteen million people. Although people have positive reasons for getting tattoo’s, the health risks far outweigh them. Tattoo ink can cause allergic reactions and contribute to obtaining Hepatitis C virus (HCV). Because of the risks of infections, tattooing of the human body should not be practiced in our modern Canadian society.
Freedom of expression is important but not to an extent, that it projects offensive body art.Individuals under the age of 21needs to be or need not to be allowed tattoos? I affirm they should not have tattoos. They are more pros then cons to support this topic. I believe that individuals under age 21 tends to do imprudent things without thinking out the long- term consequences of their activities. Impulsive, creative, imaginative, spontaneous – yes, you can still be any or all of these things without ruining your body for life. The reasons that tattoos needs to ban under the age of 21 are; risk of infections, long term affects and jobs require employees to cover up tattoos.
The tattoo is a very old form of body modification, but in spite of that there is still a certain rejection towards those who carry them in a visible area of the body, for some it disfigures what has been created in the image and likeness of God while for others associates this with convicts or gang members mainly because they were one of the first groups to use tattoos to differentiate themselves from the rest of society. But also it is true that there is a very limited understanding about this corporal modification that could be one of the reasons why it can not be appreciated as for how it should be. However, modern society reflects the current popularity of tattooing because it has acquired an entirely artistic meaning to a social expression and a way of identity.
Growing up, everyone is told that they should express themselves, to be proud of who they are and what they stand for; tattoos and piercings are just another
Tattoos and piercings have always been a debatable subject among individuals. In my writing, I will try to explain both sides of this issue and help people realize that tattoos and piercings are not a terrible thing to have. I will explain how they are just a way to self-express and how they are forms of art, not just tattoos. The individuals that conduct interviews use discrimination when hiring; not want to hire people that have a full sleeve of tattoos or a ring in their nose, tongue, lip and so on.
Tattoos have become more popular over the last few decades. Many people today see tattoos as a way of
Attract Reader’s Attention: Tattoos are very popular among young adults these days. Some of them get tattoos to look cool, or they are influenced by other people. For others, tattoos represent a memory or incident that has a special meaning in their lives.
Tattoos in general are a great way to add individuality and beautiful artwork onto your body that lasts a lifetime. Most people either love or hate the idea of people having tattoos. But why is this? Do people just not like how they look or do they just not understand them enough to appreciate the work and effort that goes into creating a beautiful piece of permanent artwork? I believe that if people were to better understand the people that do them, and the process of actually getting them done, that they will accept that they may not be as bad as they think.
Since tattoos were adopted into western culture, they were associated with criminals, gang members, trouble makers, or side show entertainers. As decades have past our traditional mind set has not since changed on the overall opinion of what tattoos and piercings represent. With the majority of people within the United States, it is shown that body modifications are always appeared negatively. Speaking from a generation Y viewpoint of things, my parents were raised believing that you wouldn’t get anywhere in life or you were a bad person if you had visible tattoos. Partly that is how this generation is being raised passing on the information to like-minded others and when being taught an idea as a kid by your parent it is more believable.
Many people think that tattooing is dangerous. Part of this is because people don’t think that the tattoo artists sterilize their materials. Others believe that tattoos have a high risk of infection. And the most commonly reported problems are allergic reactions. Others feel as though the pain factor is too immense. Although these fears are common they are easily prevented. Most of the people who believe these things aren’t fully informed with information.
Finally, tattoos are permanent and very hard to get off. It would be hard to pick one design and to stick with that design for the rest of your life. Most people change their mind about everything at least three times. What may have seemed cool when you were 25 is completely different kind of cool when you are 55. Also, your body changes too. You won’t have the same body at 25 when you are 55. That tattoo will be there forever unless you decide to use laser surgery to have it remove, which would cost at least a thousand more than the tattoo itself. Then, after you have it removed you will still have a scar where the tattoo use to be. You could even end up in hell for having a tattoo. God created your human body and expected you to die with that human body. Which, if you get a tattoo it would be a creation
