As the morning sun came up, an hour later the clouds came. They were dark grey and they looked mean. The day was going to be boring. Teen Titans Go was on TV. I looked for something else to watch because I’ve seen every episode. But as I looked out the window at the mail box, I thought mail can really change your day. The clouds started to rain on the world, so I played Minecraft until lunch. My castle was almost complete, so I was in a good mood. Then it was reading time and I finished the book and then went out to get the mail. There was a package in the mail so I brought it in and opened it up. When I opened it up there were three movies. They were Despicable Me, How to Train your Dragons, and Ninjago. I put Ninjago in to watch. It was
Remember the Titans is a film based on the true story of Virginia High School football team working to come together during desegregation in the 1970s. Herman Boone, a black head coach, is hired to lead the T.C Williams High School Football Team. The team formerly led by a white coach, Bill Yoast, is better known by their nickname, The Titans. Both Boone and Yoast must work together to bring their white and black players together in a time where segregation across racial lines in the south was commonly accepted. Boone and Yoast are successful in doing this during the team’s training camp, only to return to find that bringing the team together would be only one of the challenges they faced. We see both coaches work together and lead the team to an undefeated season that helped unite the town and overcome its own racial strife.
All throughout my childhood, I had an extreme fascination with heroes, especially superheroes. Despite my complete distain of spiders, I wanted to shoot webs from my wrists and swing around the town all day long like Spider-Man. After the release of the Iron Man movie, I wanted nothing more than to be clever enough to build a full metal suit. Now that I am older, it is incredibly hard for me to decide which I would rather be. Both ended up in epic battles - like Spider-Man and the Sandman, and Iron Man (and the rest of the Avengers) against a whole fleet of an alien army. Although either of their lives are desirable, several of their attributes, such as their identities, their powers, how they acquired them, and their personalities
This man has been docile and misunderstood for his entire life. His ferocious demeanor can frighten the bravest of people. He can work independently or collectively. He’s seen as a menace, but he’s been a hero many times. With the brain he has, the booming voice and quick decision-making he is a natural born leader in times of peril. As he becomes angrier, the more effective and violent he becomes. His hairy appearance resembles, that of a lumberjack. He is known for healing himself but has no medical background. He’s like a Benihana chef, but he is not a cook.
Veterans are honored yearly with Veterans Day and every day in our hearts. We are very thankful for everything that they do for us and our country. Our veterans go out and risk their lives to give us freedom, they leave their families behind, and they come home with diseases that are horrible. All for our freedom. We are very grateful for all that the veterans do each and every day.
Introducing Lunar Luisa a social, sarcastic, and sassy 5'2 little Brazilian girl! I go by the quote "Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can come together." because I believe no matter what you're going through you will get through it and things will get better. My goals for this year is to hand all my work in and make new friends, socializing comes naturally to me but due to me being extremely stubborn and having a tendency to procrastinate handing things in on time does not. But thanks to the help of my three best friend sidekicks Alexia, Olivia, and Keegan they give me the motivation to get my work done. I plan to accomplish my goals by being nice to everyone and staying organized.
Riding a wave of a new interest in fantasy and science fiction films with the success of Star Wars, Richard Donner's Superman (1978), the first major big-budget superhero feature film, proved a critical and commercial success. Other successful entries emerged throughout the 1980s, from Richard Lester's Superman II (1980) and Paul Verhoeven's Robocop (1987) to Tim Burton's Batman (1989).[5] Other films were released during the 1980s and 1990s including Flash Gordon (1980), Swamp Thing (1982), Conan the Barbarian (1982), Superman III (1983), Supergirl (1984), Conan the Destroyer (1984), The Toxic Avenger (1985), Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987), Bollywood's Mr. India (1987), The Punisher (1989), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) and
When Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster told the first Superman stories in the Golden Age of comics (in the comic line, Action Comics) Superman wasn’t a god-like being who walked the surface of the sun after being sent to planet earth with the purpose of teaching humanity a better way of coexistence after his home planet died. When Superman was first created and introduced to the ether of pulp culture, he was a personification of what it means to be good in essence, whether a male or female it did not matter; any one individual, no matter the colour of their skin or their gender, could be Superman in essence, meaning that anyone could be good. That is why his Superman’s dawned slogan has been, “Truth, justice, and the American way” for as long as
Whoosh! Bang! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s Superman! Superman is awesome, but why is Superman so awesome? Superman is awesome for many reasons, but the main reasons are he has super strength, he can fly extremely fast, and he has x-ray vision. Yet that’s not all, he also heroically saves innocent people from a major injury and death.
Since the late 1920’s there have been many comic book companies, but only two have stayed the course, DC Comics and Marvel Comics. What has made these two such a staple in the industry. Great iconic characters that have stood the test of time, outstanding artists and writers, and in current times the use of their intellectual properties for other mediums such as movies and TV.

Many doubters of the medium will say “What impact have comic books had on the world?”. The answer is, much more than many first suspect. In January 1993, the world was shocked at the death of a character present in the American zeitgeist since 1938, Superman. The event was highly covered by media around the world, most notably in a headline news piece by media gargantuan CNN. “The Death of Superman” as the multi-issue story arc was named, represented more than just the death of a fictional character. Superman was an icon, so synonymous and heavily woven into classic American values, his death meant a great deal to fans and non-fans alike. Journalist James Whitbrook says, “But the death of Superman was an event that earned this sort of commemoration,
In the film “Remember The Titans” by Boaz Yakin,Gerry Bertier plays one of the main characters in the movie and becomes a key player in the way the football begins to transform and work like a team. For Gerry to be apart of this he too makes some changes of his own and this is why gerry is an important character. “The mind controls me”, she says. The hunger is getting worse, the thirst. I just want one more taste, she says. One more injection to get me through the night, she says. This is all I’m good for isn’t it? Another injection after another, it doesn’t hurt anyone but myself, she says. I feel lost, she says. What do I do, she says.
