Executive Summary This evaluation will assess the impact of the application of an obese prevention program conducted in two different elementary schools to determine if the program can be spread and impact the children’s knowledge and behavior about healthy eating and exercise. The purpose of this evaluation is to determine whether an after-school obesity prevention program can enhance the young children’s awareness and understanding to improve their health. The objectives of the program was to further educate children on healthy eating such as what foods are good or bad for them and increase their participation in exercise.1 Another reason for the implementation of an obesity program in an after-school programs to see whether it can be fitted into the children’s curriculum of having more physical and health education than having mostly on academics.1 The evaluation methods that the evaluators used a modified version of the Traffic Light Diet program which used the traffic light colors: green, yellow, and red to categorize which food are good and bad.1 This program also include coaches that does motivational interviewing with the children to help them throughout the program. The main outcomes of this program were there was an improvement in the children’s reports about eating habits, better decisions in food choices, and knowledge about what are bad and good foods.1 The physical activity improved in one of the school whereas the other school did not improved.1 Also,
