The Atomic Bomb : Caused Peace Or War?

The birth of the Atomic bombs was during WWII, when the nations around the world were fighting against each other, due to disagreements between one another. At the beginning of the war, America was at a stalemate because they did not want to get involved in the war. Even though they were not involved in the war they were helping friendly allies with food supplies and ammunition. And then there was island to the east of the Korean peninsula, also known as Japan, who suddenly decided to send a full blown aerial attack on american territory. In december 7, 1941 Japan launched a full blown attack on Pearl Harbor, an American naval base. This was the turning point of WWII because this spark America to enter into a war. The program that was able to create this monstrous power was known as the Manhattan Project. Creating this weapon was their main priority. The United States was in the midst of World War 2. The atomic bomb is considered to be the main factor that ended that war. It was a race against the multiple enemies of the United States, to be the first to acquire this power and use it when necessary. The atomic bomb was seen as a weapon capable of ending the war, and it did just that. This bomb disintegrated anything that was 1 mile within ground zero which was the drop site of the bomb.

The atomic bomb results were grotesque and horrible, causing many deaths and injuries, and they should not be used unless absolutely necessary, but in this case, it was necessary to stop a war that would have continued inevitably. The United States had to use it to terminate WW2. Condonement of nuclear weapons is foolish, but if used, they can be advantageous in the right situations.

So, they did something about it. They set out to create the most destructive weapon the world has ever seen; the atomic bomb. Because of this research and development, the nuclear arms race began, alternative energy was introduced, and millions of people were affected by radiation.

The atomic bombs dropped in Japan during the Pacific War were initially devastating, killing thousands of people in the blast, but they were also life-saving and beneficial to Japan and the geo-political world. World War II officially ended after Japan surrendered, putting an end to the deaths of soldiers from around the world. Japan’s economy, which had taken a great hit later in the war, began to improve with the aid from the United States. The modern public is now well aware of the extensive damage these weapons caused, which has prevented further deployments of nuclear bombs, keeping the global public protected from nuclear warfare. With the lives lost in the decimated cities, there continue to be many more preserved.

There are several reasons why the atomic bomb was put to good use. The first reason is that thousands of American soldiers would have died if we carried on the war in a natural way. The atomic bomb ended the war in a jiffy.
