The Big Bang Theory Of Evolution By Natural Selection

Decent Essays

Introduction
Evolution is the process by which organisms change over time as a result of changes in heritable physical or behavioral traits. Changes that allow an organism to better adapt to its environment will help it survive and have more offspring.(By Ker Than, Live Science Contributor). Charles Darwin’s idea about evolution says that it happens by natural selection. Natural selection is a system of when populations adapt and evolve. (American Museum of Natural History). This helps the organisms have traits, attributes, and etc to survive in their environment and reproduce. Before Charles Darwin was born people took ideas about the natural world as given. People did not really take time to think about the changing world or what is changing. When Darwin came with his idea he studied …show more content…

Hubble made observations that he interpreted as showing that distant stars and galaxies are receding from Earth in every direction. Moreover, the velocities of recession increase in proportion with distance, a discovery that has been confirmed by numerous and repeated measurements since Hubble's time. The implication of these findings is that the universe is expanding.© 2017 National Academy of Sciences The big bang theory then came to be made by Georges Lemaitre. Before people believed in the Big Bang theory that the whole universe was compressed into a dense mass. The Big Bang theory states that about 10-20 billion years ago a huge explosion occurred that made an unknown energy. Billions of years ago everything was compressed together into an area about the size of an atom. At that time energy and matter did not really exist. Then all of a sudden the universe began to expand at a very fast speed. That's when energy and matter existed. The universe became bigger, and matter formed into gas clouds, which started to make stars and planets. And later on the solar system had formed (Pidwirny, 2006).
