Introduction
Evolution is the process by which organisms change over time as a result of changes in heritable physical or behavioral traits. Changes that allow an organism to better adapt to its environment will help it survive and have more offspring.(By Ker Than, Live Science Contributor). The Big Bang theory states that about 10-20 billion years ago a huge explosion occurred that made an unknown energy. Billions of years ago everything was compressed together into an area about the size of an atom. At that time energy and matter did not really exist. Then all of a sudden the universe began to expand at a very fast speed. That's when energy and matter existed. The universe became bigger, and matter formed into gas clouds, which started to make stars and planets. And later on the solar system had formed (Pidwirny, 2006).

Until astronomer Edwin Hubble made a remarkable discovery about how the universe was created. Edwin Hubble hypothesised the matter and energy in the universe was initially condensed in a very small and infinitely hot mass. A huge explosion, known as the Big Bang, then sent matter and energy expanding in all directions (Howell, n.d.).
