In life, we all go through challenges and it’s either we face them or walk away from it. Growing up, people will always have different ways of handling things that happens in their life. We can’t know what could happen and how we handle it because life is unexpected. As I see it is that if you tend to keep making the same mistakes, you’ll never get passed your past and if you learn from all of your mistakes, you can move forward with your life. Everyone has faced their challenges in their own way and not everything in life will be easy because I can tell you right now that no one’s life is perfect. Everyone has their flaws, but they're perfect in their own way possible.
The challenges I have gone through has made me the person I am today and has made me a stronger person mentally and physically. I’m more of an independent type of person because I’m not one to express my feelings to people I don’t trust or don’t know. I can tell my friends certain things, but when it comes to adults asking me about what’s going on in my life, I can’t open up to them. I feel anxiety every time an adult wants to talk to me because I don’t like to say what I’m going through or how I’m feeling. I’ll just tell them that everything is fine because I don’t want to be asked more or been told more about talking to someone about my problems. I just like to do things on my own so I don’t have to rely on having someone to be here for me whenever something is wrong.
For example, when my sister
Life has many obstacles that it will throw your way, its if people are going to overcome them. Everybody has something there dealing with right now and will always be. It's just what is going to happen during life no matter how hard anybody tries for them to not come. And when they come (and they will) the decision will have to be made, overcome them or get knocked down and have more problems that will come. It's all about attitude towards it, will people fall down and feel sorry for themselves or will they stand strong and fight their problems head on. I don't know what’s coming and nobody else does but it's up to you to make it.
This article is an inspiring piece that teaches you, anything in life takes struggle. This article talks about the changes of a person’s mindset. “She has found that most people adhere to one of two mindsets: fixed or growth” (Paragraph 4). Fixed mindsets tend to believe that whether you’re intelligent or not is based on your genes. While growth mindsets believe that you expand your knowledge by challenges and learning from your mistakes. In my judgement, the author’s purpose was to inspire people to accept struggle, because that is what makes your knowledge expand and grow. Nobody is perfect and making mistakes and having a hard time is what helps you learn. “As long as they embrace
Learning to deal with and overcoming adversity is what made me who I am. Every challenge and every difficulty I’ve successfully confronted in my life served as a way to strengthen my will, confidence and ability to conquer future obstacles. A famous quote I liked came from Herodotus, the Greek philosopher, who said, "Adversity has the effect of drawing out strength and qualities of a man that would have lain dormant in its absence.” When I responded positively and constructively to my biggest challenges, the qualities of strength, courage, character and perseverance emerged from deep within, because I am human, it was very easy to get caught up in the self-pity, unfairness of life, or the “why me?” trap. When I did think like that, I learned that I failed to recognize the opportunities for wisdom and growth that accompanied adversity. However, as soon as I allowed myself to think more clearly, I was able to let go of self-defeating and unproductive thoughts and get down to the business of dealing with what was happening before me and what can happen for me in my future. My failures and setbacks have nothing to do with me being a menace to society instead I had to realize it’s something every human being goes through. It’s a part of life and has everything to do with being human. Circumstances to me now mean nothing. Limitations don’t hold me back.
Life is full of challenges. In the stories, “Breaking Through Uncertainty-Welcoming Adversity” and “Neighbours,” written by Jim McCormick and Lien Chao, the main characters illustrate benefits derived from taking risks. Even though both people in these texts undergo personal challenges, in “Neighbours” the character, Sally, receives greater benefits from taking risks than McCormick in “Breaking Through Uncertainty-Welcoming Adversity”.
Describe the most significant challenge you have faced and the steps you have taken to overcome this challenge. How did this challenge affected your academic achievements?
In summary, I’ve learned that being confident and working hard can make you overcome your obstacles. Also you need courage to overcome your obstacles and by working hard, you can now do things that you couldn’t because you’ve learned it over your hard work that you put into
trying to change or overcome obstacles can be damaging. Life is full of struggles, but it
Many of us in our life’s have difficulties with something we have or had to overcome to make us a better or a worse person. These are the trials in our life that makes us the way we are and shape our personal outlook of the world. Many of the most influential people such as Malcolm X, Martin Lurther King Jr, John Brown, and Michael Jordan has had some situations they had to overcome to be on top. Malcolm X couldn’t read until he taught himself how to, Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team, these are just little examples. The difficulties I had to overcome were mostly when I was a little kid in which I lived in Mississippi.
Life is like an obstacle course, you run into multiple obstacles on the way to the finish line, and there's no telling how many hindrances you may encounter. Very few people can go their whole life without obstacles along the way, others can’t seem to get away from them, but with every obstacle comes a beneficial or deleterious concomitant.
Everyone has trials and tribulations in life, and we all face different ones. One story that really spoke to me is the one where the man who moves the rock from the middle of the road finds the bag of gold. The problems in life aren’t going away, so trying to avoid the pitfalls in life is just going to cause more issues. It is important to solve the trials we are faced with instead of running away.
“Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful” -Joshua J. Marine. If you face a trouble/hardship in life and you find a way to overcome them, life will teach you a valuable lesson. Ponyboy faces many deaths/troubles in his life; when he figured out how to get over them, he benefits tremendously. S.E. Hinton focuses on the topic of: everyone goes through hardships, it’s how you deal with them that teach you a greater lesson in life.
Please describe how you have prepared for your intended major, including your readiness to succeed in your upper-division courses once you enroll at the university.
Throughout a lifetime, each and every individual experiences bumps in his or her road, which is apart of life. Some pebbles, some boulders, but for others it may seem as if Mount Everest is standing in their way. Certain people may even feel as if they're entering an abyss, climbing down rather than up, but let's not get sidetracked. All human beings have failed in one way or another, which is a part of life, and this has helped shape them into who they are in the world.
Many people face challenges and obstacles at a very young age and that can change who they are as they grow up. My grandma faced a very harsh and unfortunate childhood. Her father died when she was 17 and that changed her life and her future. It meant she was given many responsibilities since she was the eldest out of her siblings. She had to do many house chores such as cooking, washing the clothes and dishes and waking up early in the morning to get water from a nearby well every day! This placed a very large obstacle in her life at a very young age. She had to leave school at a very young age because of all the responsibilities she was given and had to overcome these obstacles and face them with great integrity. But due to these obstacles that she has overcome, it has changed who she is now. She struggled in life right from when she was just a little kid. But if she hadn’t overcome these obstacles she wouldn’t have been a very independent woman like she is today. If her father hadn’t died when she was young, she probably would have had a completely different
Throughout my life, I have faced many challenges and obstacles that stood in my way. No matter the magnitude or even if there seemed to be no way possible, I always try and find a way. Every challenge that I have faced always required my maximum effort and was followed by success or failure, but this one is different. This is a challenge that I would have never in my life saw coming, this was a challenge where there was no succeeding or failing, but overall it made me a completely different person.
