The CIA and the JFK Assassination The day November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, would soon become known as a tragic day in US history. John F Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, had been drumming up support for the upcoming election. Tragically, he was brutally gunned down by Lee Harvey Oswald. At first glance, this assassination seems like a simple murder. A communist defector simply was angry with JFK and decided to kill him. Many people have failed to notice, however, that the CIA not only had motive to kill JFK, but they also attempted to cover up many details about Lee Harvey Oswald, and JFK in general. If the general populus continues to believe what the CIA wants them to, we will never understand who truly was responsible for his death. The CIA played a large role in John F Kennedy’s death because of the CIA’s motive to kill him, the CIA coverups in the investigation following his death, and promising unfollowed leads that the investigators have ignored. A brief history of the investigations of the JFK murder is required to be able to understand the timeline of events. On November 22, 1963 John F Kennedy was assassinated. Seven days later, Lyndon B Johnson authorized the Warren Commission to perform an investigation of JFK’s murder. After about a year of investigation, the commission determined that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in killing the president; however, this lead to many conspiracy theories about JFK’s death. One popular theory, or the magic
On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in his limousine while traveling through downtown Dallas, Texas. Immediately after the president’s death was announced, people wondered who killed their beloved president. Days after the Warren Commission was released to the public, conspiracy theories were formed of what really happened: the “Umbrella Man” did it, Lee Harvey Oswald was aiming for John Connally but miss and killed JFK by accident, and some ridiculous theories such as the Mafia killed the president. Despite the various conspiracy theories formed, logical or absurd, research proves the CIA is held responsible for assassinating President John F. Kennedy. There were many reasons how and why the Central Intelligence Agency murdered the president. An article written by Joe Lanier claims the CIA “wanted JFK dead because he had threatened to get rid of their corrupt Nazi clandestine organization and shred it into a thousand pieces” (Who Killed John F. Kennedy?). Lyndon B. Johnson was working with the CIA and hired Cord Meyer, CIA Assassin Master to put together the death squad to murder JFK. Cord Meyer and the president did not get

The CIA’s involvement in the killing of JFK is one of the popular theories put forward by conspiracy theorists. President Kennedy was said to have told an official in his administration, “I want to splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds” (McGovern, 2013, para. 3). Many of the individuals who disliked Kennedy believed he was the reason for the failed Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961. They also believed that he would reduce the size of the military industrial complex and that he was not going after communism hard enough. The CIA was involved
After the assassination of John F. Kennedy, there were a lot of conspiracies regarding the mastermind behind the assassination. President Kennedy was assassinated due to him seeking a way out of the Cold war and starting negotiations with Soviet Union. Charlene Fitsimmons, a friend of JFK was told by an agent named Gary Underhill that he was killed by CIA and that Oswald was a CIA agent. He was helped and was set up by CIA to go for it. According to Gary, there were clear evidences of how they made their way through and he couldn’t believe that they got away with it but they did.

John F. Kennedy (JFK), the USA’s 35th president was assassinated on November 22, 1963. This shocking and unsolved event was forgotten and pushed to the back of our minds. Was this tragic event really a gunman theory where Lee Harvey Oswald murdered him, or was it a result of a conspiracy where George Bush was involved? If I were given the capability to travel back in time to any period in history, I would travel to JFK’s assassination and find the truth hidden beneath many controversies.
The most popular conspiracy theory revolving around the assassination, is the idea of the C.I.A. and the government’s involvement. After the Bay of Pigs invasion, President Kennedy was frustrated with the C.I.A. at the time and blamed the failure of the invasion on them. It is said that the former president admitted this resentment towards the C.I.A. when he stated he wanted to “splinter the C.I.A. in a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds” (Novak).
The JFK assassination took place on November 23, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. There are many conspiracy theories about this event. People say that it was the KGB, the CIA, or even that Lyndon B. Johnson was behind it. The KGB would not have because it was the height of the Cold War and could have started a nuclear war. The CIA are trusted and supposed to protect us and would have known about this would think and LBJ was just easy to blame because he was the vice president. However it was in fact Lee Harvey Oswald that carried this out himself and there is evidence that backs this.
It’s 12:30 pm and a huge, cheering crowd gathers around for the presidential motorcade. Three shots are fired, and an hour later the country’s beloved president is pronounced dead on national television. There have been many theories conspiring the president’s death. Was it a lone gunman or was it multiple? Where did the shots come from? Who did it? There is only one answer to the puzzle. Lee Harvey Oswald is the one responsible for John F Kennedy’s tragic death. The assassination of JFK by Oswald is proven by the physical evidence, the forensic evidence, and Oswald’s activity before and after the assassination.
On November 22, 1963 national tragedy struck America after the catastrophic death of the thirty-fifth president of the United States, John F. Kennedy. Kennedy arrived in Dallas with his wife, Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy, by his side and rode in a convertible limousine behind John and Nellie Connolly through Dealy Plaza. When the motorcade took way through downtown Dallas, shots were fired at president Kennedy soon killing him. The assassination of president John F. Kennedy made questions surface about his death, and when those questions were left unanswered, distrust of the government in the 1960’s formed; in return led conspiracies to thrive.
The CIA wasn’t the one who shot Kennedy; Oswald shot Kennedy. Oswald was friends with the CIA, possibly even working for them. Oswald joined the Marine Corps when he was 17 and stayed in it for 3 years. When he left the Marine Corps he went to Russia for some time. He wanted to stay because he was a communist. He ended up leaving 3 years later, with his new wife, finding it boring in Russia. When he was back in the U.S. he bought a rifle by mail-order. On April 10, 1963 he tried to kill retired U.S. general Edwin Walker through his window. The few months before he killed Kennedy he tried getting into Cuba and was supporting FPCC (Fair Play for Cuba Committee) (Wikipedia.“Lee Harvey Oswald”). He seems to be very anti-american for being a former Marine. The U.S. at the time was very anti-communism and wanted to know what they were up to. A great way to do this is to have a spy in those countries. Oswald was this spy,
To truly understand John F. Kennedy, one must first understand his later life. On the summer of 1963 people had seen so many promising events, which was starting with the civil rights legislation the President had sent to Congress on June 19 (Falkof 107). On the last week of the campaign had showed Nixon and Kennedy seesawing back and forth (“John”). The police had arrested Lee Harvey Oswald, a Communist supporter, and charged for assassination (“John”). On November 29, President Lyndon B. Johnson appointed a commission to investigate the murder of John F. Kennedy
