Why do you want to be on the BJGM Committee and what specific skills qualify you for this position? I joined Council to make a difference in McCombs. I feel as though I have had the opportunities to do so, but I recognize many people have utilized their opportunities even better. With that, it would be an honor to serve on the BJGM Committee and help determine which student leaders should be recognized. In the past six months or so, I have struggled with recognizing my place on Council. At the beginning of last year, I imagined a Council route that entailed VIP Committee evolving into my becoming the chairperson and then being the Careers Director followed by the President of the Undergraduate Business Council. After incorrectly assuming I would be VIP Chair and not earning that role, I have felt like I am in a grey area with regards to what I want out of my college experience. I thought Council would define my experience and, although I have held important roles within UBC, I began to wonder what college would be like if I was no longer on Council. Personal issues and health disrupted my flow and caused that grey area to expand. I felt lost. Miriam has been the one who has kept hold me together. She proposed the idea of applying for BJGM, but it was a subtle sentence she mentioned when we met that confirmed my desire to be on BJGM: I needed to work on a team again. In leading several high school organizations, I thrived on loving my team members. Last year, I began to
I can ensure that my personal knowledge and skills meet the required standard, by having an understanding of what is required to be competent with the standards. Competency is said to be still equated or defined as skills, ability to perform, capacity, and knowledge (Executive Brief 2008 Projectsmart). As such, the term has been used loosely. While it does not really matter much when used casually to mean ones physical and mental abilities, it does matter when used in such areas as a job assessment to describe job requirements and performance standards.
Throughout my high school career I have participated in many activities and been awarded many great honors. As a member of my high school color guard, I have led as co-captian and captain for four years, traveling across the country to compete. Beta Club has given me the opportunity to serve my local community and create a service project to reach the globe. I was asked to lead the volunteers at my church for the early service in the children's ministry area my sophomore year and I continue to serve in this position. During my junior year I was acknowledged as a junior marshal, a Wofford Scholar, and a Presbyterian College Scholar.
I have a passion to change people’s lives. Therefore I am deeply honored to have been chosen out of a few hundred to have the opportunity to be part of the National Junior Honor Society. This experience would teach me much more about being a leader. I feel I would be an important asset to your team, and I hope you will consider having
If chosen, I feel I could make the National Junior Honor Society a better organization by tutoring those who need help in particular subjects that I’m good at. Additionally, I would recommend that we have a cultural club where students from different cultures can teach us about their cultures and way of life. Also, I would encourage my peers to give ideas on making this program more fun and creative.I would plan many activities for my peers including field trips to popular destinations. Being a role model would
I should be granted membership into the National Junior Honor Society for many reasons. First, I show leadership in many ways. Even though I do not hold a official leadership position, I still show leadership in multiple areas. In group projects at school, I always make sure my group stays focused, and I usually take a major role in doing the project. I also take a major leadership role on my baseball team, for I help mentor the younger and less experienced players. I also participate in Boy Scouts, where I also help teach the new scouts who have just joined lead by example.
If chosen I feel I could make the National Junior Honor Society a better organization. I feel this way because I always try to do my best. Whether it is getting the highest grade I can on a test or trying my best to help my friends with
Recognition with the invitation to National Honors Society is an incredible opportunity to come across in the four years of high school. It would be an honor to become a member of National Honors Society to attain leadership qualities throughout my high school career. When I moved to Peachtree City in the 9th grade, I have stacked leadership skills and activities to help others in need that qualify to become a candidate for National Honors Society through campus involvement and community involvement. Interactions with the Mcintosh faculty and students give a chance to build leadership skills by creating friendship. Throughout my high school career, I have joined club organizations such as spanish club, where I worked together among my peers
I have attended MFU camp for the past 11 years, summer of 2016 I was selected to be a member of YAC to represent MFU camp. Throughout my years in high school, I have attended several leadership camps and activities. For example, I severed as class officer for Student Council, Secretary of National Honor Society, President of Character Counts,
What responsibilities will you take on in your new role as Chair of the Committee?
I place a great value in the opportunities that are associated with this prestigious group. Access to undergraduate research opportunities, honors courses, early registration for courses, and opportunities to help serve the community will all
I am hoping to create one or find a club like the UCO Black Male Fellows because it's a very inspirational organization. This program can support so many people in so many ways and being in a program like this would make me feel so sensational. Getting involved in a program that will give guidance, motivate, and show so much leadership would be wonderful because it would help me do the same for other people around me. I love teaching and learning about the black culture and I will try to make a club where I can do that at
I would be honored to take the position of being student council president. There are qualities a president of student council should possess that I believe I have.
The reason why I would like to become a VIP Coordinator is due to the fact that I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this program and would love to contribute more of my time to help this program continue to succeed and grow. I am an individual who is passionate about keeping communities safe and promoting healthy habits for people to adapt into their lives. The greek community is a large population on campus that has a great amount of young leaders and individuals who are making a difference on campus. Being a VIP chair this year has allowed me grow even more as a person and as an individual who wants to make a difference in our society and help those in need. Something that I can bring to this role would be the positive energy that I
Why do you want to be a part of the SUBS subcommittee? (in under 1000 characters)
The adoption of the above recruitment and selection steps by health care organizations will help in enhancing the productivity of their employees therefore will help in sustainable development and growth of health care industry (Nickson, 2013).
