If the prisoner went through the death penalty process, it would cost more than $1.26 million. You can see it as if the person who performed the crime actually deserves to die. You can also see it like does the federal government's actually get to choose to kill the people who killed. It is so messed up, because they are teaching that if you kill someone or do some other major crime, then they will kill you. They arn’t teaching a lesson. They are teaching that murdering someone is ok, as long as they murdered someone else. That makes absolutely no sense. For those who witness the death and for the doctors who have to insert the injections, after the death they may feel sick, dizzy, dazed, numb and empty. They also may feel nothing at all, then later realize what they have just done and start to have nightmares. Some have post-traumatic stress after having to watch someone they love put on the death row. They aren't even thinking about how bad death row is to watch for the people who love the person who is being killed. The death penalty is a terrible thing to think about, and I would never want to witness one happening. The death penalty is such a tragic thing.
