Leonardo da Vinci was born April 14, 1452.He was an Italian Renaissance polymath whose areas of interest included Sculpting, architecture, science, math, engineering, anatomy, astronomy, inventing, writing, history, music, literature, geology, botany, cartography. Many people refer to Leonardo as a ¨universal genius¨ or ¨renaissance man¨. He also was named one of the most talented individuals ever to have lived.

Leonardo da Vinci was a important part of the Italian Renaissance. He influenced many people with his work. His work caused people to follow him in his beliefs and technique he used for projects he worked. Some of his ideas he did not receive credit for, but some of his inventions and ideas are still used today.
