The novel I read this semester was The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien which was first published on September 21, 1937. I had a positive feeling when reading the book because even though the book has many bad events the characters have to overcome many difficult situations such as almost being eaten by trolls and being cornered by wargs. Although the book started off slow and it took a bit of time to adapt to the style of writing the content was full of suspense and outcomes that I did not expect. This made the book fun to read and by far the best book I have ever read. It was very interesting to watch Bilbo’s character develop throughout the novel and see how events and adventures impact him. The dwarves ask Bildo if he wants to be a burglar and he refuses again but in the morning he changes his mind and agrees to take on the role of burglar while on the adventure. Thorin is a dwarf who lived in the town of Dale until he was 24 years old. His last name
