The cruel abilities of the human race has been expressed throughout history. Power, greed, and desire proves to be too much for some to handle- enough to where lives are taken in order to satisfy these needs. The Holocaust is one of these dramatic forms to achieve power and for Hitler to create his ideal society. During this, Hitler and the Nazis targeted Jews and other subcategories of people who did not fit their idea of “perfect.” While this time period has been heavily documented, broadcasted, and discussed, there are still some important facts not well known to the public. These facts surpass the basics, and include some that express the true horror in the crime, facts that cause people to wonder about some inconclusive data, and make the whole thing seem like a plot for something not yet …show more content…

Most often people have a basic understanding of what the Holocaust was and what it was all about. It is known for being the Nazi induced mass murder of Jews, however Jews only accounted for six out of the eleven million murdered (“91 interesting”). The remaining five million were other groups Hitler felt were inferior like the disabled, handicapped, etc. It is proven that Hitler had no mercy for any one because 1.1 million children were murdered during his reign (“91 Interesting”). Hitler would eventually be stopped by the American forces, alongside the Allied Powers, resulting in him hanging himself. His 12 year timeline captured the lives of many innocent people, but how horrific this act was goes beyond the body count. The extreme xenophobic and homophobic tendencies of the Nazi and German lifestyle was astounding. The Nazi influencers in Germany went as far as to legally ban the Germans from having sexual contact with Jews (“21 Horrible”). Furthermore, Nazi’s tried to ‘cure’ homosexual Germans and Jews by forcing them to take testosterone shots and sleeping with Prostitutes (“21
