The Importance Of Art In Art

The world we live in has tremendously evolved. We live in a world that is extremely technical and specialized. When someone goes off to college, they focus on learning the skills they need that will allow them to pursue a beneficial employment. Barely any time is spent studying the various arts. Art is often viewed by the people of our world as “a waste of time” or “pointless”, as it does not have any constructive application in most of their lives needs.

Pure imagination, flowing through a sound mind and sound soul; the basic creativity of human expression. A visual form to which can be expressed in different medias consisting of both beauty and emotional power. There are various branches of art, such as music, studio art, dance, culinary, and literature. Studio art is something to which I take to heart, it’s a branch I always seem to fall under. It’s simply been a part of my life since I was a kid; I would tend to walk around with a bag full of crumpled up wads of  paper and broken Crayola crayons just shoved into a small bag I bought from the flea market, no matter where I was at I tended to be drawing anything that came to mind. It’s a beautiful thing which I’ve used to define my perspective of how I view the world or just how I feel in the world of such a vast majority where everyone is so similar in a way.

Music is my life when I was little my dad introduced me to all types of music. We listen to hip-hop, reggae, old school, country, and jazz. We believe that as long as it has a good beat and a message that what makes that a great song.Being that my dad is from New Jersey I have this Northern flavor to my lifestyle. It is truly present in my taste in music. Many people say that I'm a little weird when they listen to the type of music I listen too.

Art is in its purest sense, humanity collectively trying to impress, relate, and grow with one another and themselves. Music is the art form that embodies all the greater characteristics from other art forms, and puts them into one. In the words of Frank Zappa “Art is how we decorate space, Music is how we decorate time.” Music carries the ability to paint pictures, tell stories, and even showcase the time period they came from.

Music means freedom, the songs reflect my life because the lyrics that the artist say relate to my life. I used to not listen to music at all but now I listen to music almost everyday. In the future I hope artist make great music.

He firsts explains that many people often see art as being an unnecessary subject; he then goes onto stating that art provides millions of jobs and brings money back through revenue taxes. Another important idea he makes is,the N.E.A. serves many functions, promotes art, disperses fundings, and helps lower the cost of insuring exhibitions. In addition, he goes into discussing the importance of the N.E.A. being a link between the government and its the people; eliminating the N.E.A. would destroy that link causing the government

Music is defined differently for each individual. It is the universal language that speaks to us all, but in different ways. It is one of the few genres that can instantly transport a person back to the past. Music is also an art of sound which expresses ideas, thoughts, and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, and harmony. It is the design of giving structural form and rhythmic pattern to combinations of sounds produce instrumentally and vocally. To me, music brings a sense of calmness, happiness, and peacefulness. Music is the absolute bread of life because it feeds my soul.

Drawing and painting is a wonderful way for someone to express themselves. Paintings highly support the quote “A picture is worth a thousand words,” because some people can interpret a painting one way, while others may see it in a completely different way. I enjoy

I enjoy for my art work to be a representation of who I am as an individual. My art is mainly focused on things that are interesting to me or what I perceive to be beautiful. My subjects for my art pieces are usually people, and I like to focus on their proportions. Art to me is a form of placing my thoughts and feelings onto a piece of paper for everyone to relate as they gaze through my drawings. The materials I use for my pieces consist of mixed media and that is because I really enjoy the way these supplies can enhance the meaning of my artwork.

Everyone has their own taste in music. Some like rock, pop, or even country. The music we listen to influences us to do and act a certain way. So it only makes sense that music has a say when we act artistically as well. Whether we are listening to it while creating a work of art or incorporating it into a video or sculpture, Music plays a large role in connecting to our senses and emotions. We can feel music, hear it some even say we can see it. So who is to say we can’t create art from it. Music makes links and connections in our brain we didn’t know existed. By connecting our senses together artist from the past and present have been able to innovate new and exciting pieces of art.

Art education is often underestimated by many who believe that school was created to teach only analytical concepts such as mathematics and literature. However, research has shown that art courses are important, even necessary for students in elementary, middle, and high schools. These art classes may include not only visual arts but performing arts such as dance, theatre and choir. Barbara Streisand said, “Art does not exist only to entertain, but also to challenge one to think, to provoke, even to disturb, in a constant search for the truth,” (Quotations). Knowledge lies at the foundation of everything in society. While it may not always be noticed, it is always present. From process to process, or area of knowledge to area of knowledge, all knowledge incorporates the processes of both transformation and description in order to evolve as justifiable beliefs. Transformative knowledge includes the product of an individual’s implementation of their personal cognitive processes to challenge traditional perspectives, while descriptive knowledge results when individuals utilize the new perspectives, allowing fresh outlooks to be perceived. While all areas of knowledge incorporate the use of both processes, some may primarily use one or the other. This can be seen in the areas of art and natural sciences. Knowledge in arts seems to primarily describe the world, while knowledge in natural sciences seeks to transform it through innovation and much more.
