When looking for an artifact I first asked my grandfather. When I asked him I found out a lot about my family history like how my great grandfather was in the Olympics which lead to the fact that when around 1953 the trend was to collect pins and place them on a hat. The artifact I found was pins from a collection of different sports events in the Olympics that mark wins and teams competing in the olympics. Looking and researching these pins I have noticed how valuable they can be. Some history behind these pins is how they all represent some countries and the times they were in the
My artifact that shows my success is a cheer trophy that my team and I won in Vegas at a competition. The trophy is significant to me because it took a lot of hard work for our team to perform at this competition. Our team has never worked together so well and had more dedication than ever because that first place trophy is something we all wanted.
Explain how you were challenged in creating the artifact. I was challenged by creating this artifact because it required to having a in depth understanding of all essential. To use past experiences to incorporate what you have done to achieve meeting the essential. Also, it required to know each essential to be able to know rather or not you understand the essential. Also, is trying to make sure have the required knowledge, and realizing you don’t have as much of experience and skills pertaining to the competencies. Considering the cultural and religious when providing care.
This artifact I have chosen is a little different than all of the formal artifacts in my other entrees. This artifact is a photo I took of the board they use for lessons at rug time. Rug time is usually after lunch and used to help calm the student down. First before the teacher uses the board, they play educational songs and the students are allowed to lay their head if they would like. Once the songs and rest time is over, it is time for calendar. These visuals above are what the students use to learn about the days of the week. The weekdays are Velcro, so the teacher can use them as an activity. The students all read off the cards on the board together and then one student comes up to the board and places the appropriate weekday. The teacher
Albert Einstein once said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” This quote describes the responsibilities and standards of teaching children. I believe that teachers should be held to high standards for being the foundation of a student’s education and well-being. For my future students, my responsibilities as a future educator include supplementing the growth of a variety of students’ knowledge and creativity, abiding as a role model for students and colleagues, and understanding the issues in the foundations of education.
For my artifact I constructed a document. Documents hold all sorts of information. In this case, these documents were from World War I. Knowing background information about the past is useful especially for World War 2. In this case for World War I, soldiers did not have any background information on wars for the reason that it was the first war to occur. Civilians during World War II, took inspiration and took the mistakes that soldiers messed up in WW1 as an opportunity to learn from their mistakes. In order to not repeat history again. Documents were used in order to keep track of special events that would occur during the time. In this case, this was something that the civilians based off of for World War 2, to know what types of battles
The artifact I uploaded to demonstrate my proficiency in Standard 4 is a budget summary I completed for EDG 541: School Business Administration in October 2015. This project required me to develop a budget presentation for my school when dealing with the issue of a 5% increase in funds but a 15% increase in the student population. As a result, I had to analyze what was necessary to support student learning, how I could reallocated funds, and where I could make budget cuts so that a balance budget was developed. The specific feedback I received to develop my understanding further was to think more creatively with staffing to help with budget constraints and alway ensure the school’s budget aligns with the school’s vision. Awhile ago we found a shipwreck in the gulf of Mexico. We later discovered that there was two more shipwrecks also sunk in the gulf of Mexico. We had a controlled remote vehicle to go and discover the shipwrecks. We aren’t allow to really investigate to much but we did end up finding artifacts that the shipwrecks have contained. We discover ceramics that came from Mexico which are really detailed with lots of print on them. The ceramics were plates that weren’t used but instead kept for nice decoration. Theses artifacts all have came from China,Britain, and Canada.Finding these artifacts made me feel interested in learning to discover more due to how interesting they are.
Artifacts comes in so many different shapes or form. It could hold personal memories, feelings, or even value. The artifact I chose to share is my necklace.
The artifact that I choose was a painting done during the nineteenth century in Tibet. The painting is called Thangka, because that is the technique that the artist used to paint it. In the painting Sakyamuni Buddha is blessing the souls in Buddhist Hell. Thangka paintings have numerous different uses. One place they are used is in Buddhist temples for worship and meditation. In addition, they are also used to serve as a record of different events. Furthermore Thangka painting is used during the 49th day memorial service. Lastly, they can also be used as a decorative object in Buddhist shrines. Equally important to the uses of the artifact is the culture and history of the painting, Tibet, and the nineteenth century.
The computational artifact that I have created serves as a representation of the versatility of different keys on a keyboard, it represents how basic keys such as the arrow keys can be re-purposed as a device to permit camera movement. The computing innovation's purpose is to facilitate computing functions for people with a physical disabilities that can't be performed with a mice or other device that require the user to execute a physical action beyond their ability. My computational artifact is meant to represent that by completely eliminating the need of a mouse to look around, move, jump or
This artifact is an college essay on which I talked about a event/experiences that change me in some sort. Throughout the essay, you will perceive how an events that I went thought changed me in a positive way. I chose to write my essay on how my papa dying changed my life. A college essay is all about writing about something that is personal to you.
I would like to present to you the history of life on earth of species that existed in the distant past. I find fossils from animals most interesting because they have walked in our earth before we were even made. It has taken me a very long time to find fossils buried and I have had to travel all over the world for many weeks this year. It has been exhausting but I am interested in finding the excavation because I believe it will help us with information about our environment. My team and I which includes my archaeologist agree that our findings are significant and through our equipment we have been able to determine how old our fossils are.
Thank you for choosing our school to select three artifacts for a time capsule that will be taken to Mars on the next Space Mission. Each ninth grade student has chosen three artifacts for the time capsule. The three artifacts that I choose for future generations is a mobile phone, the American penny, and the New York Times Newspaper.
Trace evidence can be used to link people or objects to places, other people, or other objects. This often serves as a starting point, or lead, for a particular line of investigation (Lothridge, 2016). Trace evidence can include a wide variety of materials, but most commonly tested are hair, fibers, paint and glass. Other, less frequently included items are soil, cosmetics and fire debris (Lothridge, 2016). Dr. Edmond Locard formulated the theory that "Every contact leaves a trace". This became known as Locard 's exchange principle (Lothridge, 2016). Tools such as tweezers, tape, specialized vacuums, swabs, alternate light sources, and lasers to find and collect trace evidence. Fibers and Threads can be found on burglaries and hit and
Unique characteristics and properties of glass may provide valuable information to investigators. Glass is made of materials having no definite form on their own melted together and cooled to rigidity without crystallization (“Glass”, 2011). Glass can be made in varying thicknesses, colors, and with patterns and designs or smooth. Glass may be produced in a manner that reduces or prevents shattering, resulting in small pieces rather than slivers or fine powder-like pieces (Saferstein, 2009). The density and refractive index of glass fragments can be used to determine if the fragments originated from a single source item, such as a broken window on a home, or from various items. The
