With differentiation in mind, I came up with a daily schedule of learning and instruction time for my students. Entry 4 artifact 3 is a copy of my daily schedule and lesson plan format for instructing my students. I begin my day of learning using whole group instruction with a whole group instruction reviewing the calendar, music/movement activity, and read aloud. During these activities, I ask the students question based upon their ability and grade level. The students are really engaged during our introduction. The artifact represents personal objects and meaningful moments, person influence on our own life. This is one of the assignment in our program to share our artifacts toward our colleagues and professors. The artifact was developed and implemented for a fourth-grade language arts and reading class with seven students, four girls, and three boys, between the ages of nine and ten. The classroom setting is student centered with differentiated instruction to benefit the varying reading levels and exceptionalities. There are five English-language learners out of the seven students, three students are ESOL level four and two students are ESOL level three. My artifact is my word search that I did with Marini. Our assignment is to match words that are given to us and then make a majestic, beautiful, and amazing sentences. At first I was thinking about the simple sentences but, I knew that everyone to do it and our pairs had to be unique. So, I thought some more and was critical thinking harder than I ever have before. I really wanted those sour patch kids. So, I just reviewed the whole book into my mind and thought about the socs perspective about the greasers. The whole reason why the socs look down to the greasers is because of their social status. I got that word and used it as the plot of the whole sentence. When Ms. Annadurai saw it she said that “This is the best one so far.” I felt so proud

Albert Einstein once said, “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” This quote describes the responsibilities and standards of teaching children. I believe that teachers should be held to high standards for being the foundation of a student’s education and well-being. For my future students, my responsibilities as a future educator include supplementing the growth of a variety of students’ knowledge and creativity, abiding as a role model for students and colleagues, and understanding the issues in the foundations of education.
