Reading is not just a fun and great pastime, it is a great way to make your mind explore the great unknown, push boundaries and survey what surrounds you. According to Josep Dalmau, MD, PhD, he did a study on life-span cognitive activity, neuropathology burden, and cognitive aging which reading helps your brain activate. With other proven facts that reading does help the brain to stay sharp and can even go as far as to say it can prevent Alzheimer’s its no wonder that I fight for the knowledge so everyone understand the importance of reading a good book. As once said “So avoid using the world ‘very’ because it’s lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys – to woo woman- and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do.” Not just does the topic help a couple communicate but teacher each other to use more dynamic words to woo the other. Reading is just another way to be able to learn more words and how they are used so you can use them in your personal life. Most people though don’t read books a lot even if they have been proven to be helpful. My mother says that she does not read a lot of books because it takes too long and she’s not that fast at it. In truth reading a book does take time and unlike movies you have to imagine what everything looks like. For some this is just too much to be able to do so they go back to watching movies without ever trying to push the limits on their mind. Reading is something that takes time and not everyone has the patients for it but for those that do it is quite rewarding. Reading a good book is a great idea to think about the next time you have time and need to distress from the day-to-day problems.
