I chose to read The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks as my contemporary novel. I have read it before and I have seen the movie and i loved them both. I was really glad to finally read something i enjoyed and have to write a paper on it. In the following paragraphs i summarize both the book and the movie, talk about differences and similarities between the book and the movie, and finally i discuss how i felt about the book and the movie and which i prefer. The following is a summary of the book. It is about a man named Logan, a Marine serving in Iraq, who comes across a photograph in the desert. The photograph is of a woman at a fair with a huge ferris wheel and three trees in the background and on the back it says, “Keep safe! -E”. Logan’s best friend, Victor, a fellow Marine, says that he was meant to find that photograph and that it brings him good luck, after Logan tries to find out who is belongs to with no luck and after Logan survives many explosions while having the photo with him. So when Logan returns home, he sets out to find the woman, at Victor’s suggestion. All he has is a letter of her name and the background of the photo to go off of. After doing some research he finally narrows it down to a town in North Carolina. He heads out with his dog, a german shepard named Zeus, on foot across the country, traveling from Colorado to North Carolina. While traveling, he runs into a cop named Keith, who he later finds out is the ex-husband of the girl in the picture. Logan
Today I am going to talk about how the Johnny Tremain book and movie are different in many ways. There were many important parts of the book that weren’t in the movie, that it made the movie look like it was never based off of the book. It upsets me how different the movie is from the book. Some of the differences between the movie and the book are Johnny Tremain’s hand, Pumpkin, and Rab’s death.
This is a story of baseball and how it is a team sport. The book relates with the title by showing how this boy named Sandy Comstock that plays on the Grantville Raiders and has a big game coming up. It was against the Newtown Raptors. He wanted to beat them and become one of the best teams. By the time he knew it he ended up on the Newtown Raptors team and he was going to play is old team. It was kind of like a baseball turnaround.
The tone is set quickly and effectively. With the book and the movie you “are not being invited into fictional believe and deaths, into the imagination, but into the absorbing reality of flesh and blood”. (McCabe 561).
It is an experience of a lifetime to read a story in a book and watch the movie. The book and movie, The Outsiders, share many similarities and differ in equally many ways. S. E. Hinton narrated the Outsiders, and this high-quality narration was equally translated to the movie (2). However, they seem to vary in so many ways. This write-up examines the similarities and differences between the book and movie, The Outsiders, in terms of the plot, characters, setting, style, and theme.

Discuss the changes that take place between the novel and the film, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, and the impact they have on you.
The “OUTSIDERS”, a book and movie, portrays a small gang going through hard times. The Book and Movie may have the same plot but have small yet noticeable differences. Both stories take place around Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1965. These should be compared to show why sometimes movies get things wrong and why the book tends to be better, in this case they both stick to the plot with only a few missing or added details, such as the book is slower paced but has more detail, the movie misses or adds small details, and the movie destroys your thought of what characters look like.
It’s not difficult to figure out that almost every book with a movie made from the book will have some differences and some similarities. I can almost promise anyone that they will probably never find a book with a movie that is the exact same. This essay will point out some differences and similarities between the book and the movie “Ordinary People”.
The strategies I did in order to fully prepare myself for this task is read through the theme and the plot for the book and watch the movie understanding what is the story line in the movie. When deciding what movie to do for this particular paper I faced a few issues. I knew what the requirements were, but I wanted something different and something I could have fun watching and writing as well. So, after looking around and pondering movies for weeks I finally decided on a perfect choice The 60's directed by Mark Piznarski?

“The purpose of this paper is to write about the similarities and difference of two movies: The Choice and The Notebook. Nicholas Sparks really knows how to set a romantic/emotional, but also creates a very predictable love story plot-line. You could predict the ending before the movie started with only knowing who the movie was based on a Nicholas Sparks novel. There is always a boy who falls for a girl and has to work extremely hard to get her. Then, something happens, but in the end they are always together. The Notebook and The Choice both show how life is about choices, you have to fight for what you love, and the good guy wins; but, in The Choice the ending will leave you wanting to know more about these characters and their story and that is why The
A young adult novel’s audience often desires relatable characters and a meaningful plot that helps them to find resolutions to their own uncertainties concerning life. Many authors employ the literary technique realism to satiate these cravings. Today, there are some popular novels that attempt to imitate this, such as the coveted The Fault in Our Stars or Divergent. These selections, while widespread in the hands of young adult readers today, will not stand the test of time in the way that The Outsiders has, written by S. E. Hinton in 1967, has. This novel, both produced by and intended for teenagers, instead is a better candidate of realistic young adult fiction. Other selections, from Hinton’s era and from today, do not radiate the same

For now, I'll set aside considerations of why The Goal is a novel, how effective it is as a book, whether it succeeds as literature, and so on. This article is primarily about the ideas behind the book, and why some are valuable while others are probably quite useless.
