The brain is the most complex organ in the body. The brain is made up of a complex network of billions of nerve cells called neurons, as well as other kinds of cells, all protected by the bones of the skull. Every human on Earth uses it every single day, even when you are sleeping the brain is not sleeping, but sending signals all over your body to keep you breathing and alive and allow you to dream. There are many discoveries about how the brain evolved from the cave men, but recently there have been many breakthroughs about how it evolved. If we could learn more about how the brain evolved, we would have a more vast knowledge about human beings, and about the first detections of life on Earth. As said in the first paragraph, the brain is a very complex organ of the body. You can think of any animal- mammals, birds, reptiles, fish- and they all have a brain. It is not the largest organ in the body, but does give us the ability to speak, eat, think and problem solve. The brain executes a various number of tasks, which include controlling the body temperature, acknowledging the world around you from your five senses, handling your physical movement like walking, talking or standing, and allows you to dream, reason and experience emotions. Your brain is attached to your spinal cord, which has your peripheral nerves and is known as your central nervous system.
