The Music Man Award
Don’t you think that certain people deserve certain awards for what they do? Some people are really talented at what they do. That is why I have decided to give Mr. Barone The Music Man Award. There are many reasons why I would give this award to him, as he has done such amazing things. If I had to chose three reasons why I would give this award they would be because he teaches the wonderful art of music to everyone at the school, he is extremely talented, and makes learning music together fun.
The first reason why The music he teaches reaches not only the students, but the people who come to hear the students and share in their experience. Even if you have never played an instrument or sang a song, once you spend time
by being hilarious. In a inspiring way, Mr.Barone will support everyone. Mr.Barone also is the chorus Teacher. Being the band teacher is tough, but Mr.Barone can handle it.
According to Joanne Lipman, in her article “why Tough Teachers Get Good Results”, she had an orchestra teacher who was incredibly strict and demanding. His name was Jerry Kupchynsky, and he was very challenging to the point that he made the students rehearse until their fingers bled. Lipman exclaims, that if her teacher was still living today he would have been fired. Lipman also states that even though he was so strict he is celebrated today. Lipman says she was surprised to see the former colleagues go to this remembrance and was correspondingly amazed by the accomplishments of his former students. Lipman also discusses there is research that proves that there is a positive correlation between music education and academic achievement. Along
There are a lot of great teachers at Mandan high that all do great things for the students within their own way. However there can be only one recipient the the Mandan highs best teacher award and it should go to Mrs. Hess-Bolte for her patience, her, her love of what she does and her willingness to help.
Some personal strengths that would help me strive to be the best music teacher possible is my love for music. Throughout my high school music career I have had the opportunity to perform in many awesome events including All state band, all state jazz band, Iowa state honor band, Drake honor band, Drake honor jazz band, and many more groups. These have helped fuel my desire to pursue a career in music and helped me become the musician I am today.
Mr. Westman has been my teacher for the past six years and I still don’t think that is enough time to be surrounded by such joy and love that he gives. Mr. Westman has continuously pushed me and my classmates to better ourselves as musicians, students, and most importantly, people. He radiates so much joy for life and teaching and his kindness, sarcasm, and love for “his kids” can never be matched. I’m so grateful to have head his influence for so long, and I can’t wait to come back and see what he continues to do with the amazing orchestra program. #AvonOrchestraTurns10
Though all these musicians lives were dramatically different, they share one thing in common; a lasting legacy. Each one of them are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! They all had loyal and dedicated fans. Most importantly, they inspired new musicians. That’s the magical aspect of the 27 Club. Despite Buddy Holly, Jim Morrison, and Kurt Cobain dying young, their legacy will outlive any life they could’ve had. The music that they created will never truly die, because it affected people into making new and ever changing music. That's the power of the 27 Club.
Considered a leader, a statesman, and a humanist, William Jefferson Clinton's genius exemplifies many characteristics of the Age of Modernism and Pluralism in Western culture. The Age of Modernism and Pluralism is said to be a culmination of the previous two major periods in human history. Modernism has the "quest for an authoritatively-rational aesthetics, ethics, and knowledge indicative of the Enlightened Period" ("PostModernism", 2005), and the higher ideals of respect for people's rights and liberty brought forth during the Romantic period. Former president Bill Clinton's contributions to social and civil reforms in the United States, his support of the spread of democracy throughout the world, and his previous and ongoing support for
Over the years I have had the pleasure to work with a plethora of excellent teachers. Many of whom have had a lasting impact on me both as a performer and educator. The few teachers that have stand out were the perfect mixture of both great performer and teacher, but most importantly they seem to be heavily invested in my successes. The following teachers are just a few that fit this mold.
On a whim in fifth grade, I decided that I wanted to learn how to play an instrument. I had never thought about how important it would become, but it has become a primary part of my life. I think this reason starts with you. You made learning music more entertaining for 10 year olds who don't have the first clue as to what they're doing. Not only did you teach me the fundamentals of it, but you created a love for it through opportunities and encouragement.
The book Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow is an incredibly detailed biography about the life of Alexander Hamilton, most notably America’s first secretary of the treasury. Through the book, however, it is revealed that Hamilton accomplished so much more than simply being on the ten dollar bill; he created America’s first bank, founded what would later become the coast guard, served in multiple political offices, and carved out a successful career as a lawyer. In Ron Chernow’s Alexander Hamilton, he showcased a gentler side to Hamilton by including interactions with his family. These kind anecdotes helped round out Hamilton’s character, even if Chernow’s inappropriate language took away from the otherwise enthralling story.
In healthcare, an advanced practice nurse (APN) has achieved additional education beyond an undergraduate degree in order to provide either direct patient care or direct employee support. Advanced practice nurses include nurse administrators, educators, researchers, nurse practitioners (CNP), certified nurse midwife (CNM), certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), and clinical nurse specialist (CNS). All nurses that can give themselves one of the above titles should be considered advanced practice, as they have advanced their base nursing knowledge in order to provide additional care in the health care industry (DeNisco & Barker, 2016). In addition, the scope of practice within each of these roles is expanded in various ways (Wisur-Hokkanen,
Another extraordinary person described by Joanne Lipman in “And the Orchestra Played On” is a music teacher, Mr. K. or Jerry Kupchynsky. Lipman never directly says that Mr. K. was a great teacher, but her essay shows it very clearly. At first Mr. K. gives the impression of a tough, rude man, but it changes gradually throughout the story. Strict and demanding, Mr. K. loved discipline and cooperation. He wasn’t mean, but his life was mean to him. He endured fascist camps, the death of his wife from a long suffering disease, immigration, and the murder of his daughter. In my opinion, he was very lonely and had the right to hate life. However, he was the type that believes “what does not kill us makes us stronger”. He did not give up, found his strength and love in music, and taught
When he was taking high school classes as an eighth grader he did not gel with the other students very well, but his overall high school experience was pretty good. He was only at the Berry Academy for high school Geometry for one year before the university scrapped the entire program. He started playing French Horn in 8th grade before starting high school and since then music has been a part of his life. He’d been taking piano as a child so it gave him a head start on understanding music. He played basketball at Berry Academy and with his church, but he stuck with band once he go to high school. In his church basketball league, Varsity players were not allowed to play because they wanted the atmosphere to be more relaxed and fun.
Inside Booker’s tiny apartment, the rhythmic thrum of water hitting tiles did little to banish the bereft mood chilling the atmosphere. The dark-haired officer sat stiffly in a battered armchair, one hand clutching a glass of whiskey, the other resting on his knee, his fingers clenched, his knuckles shining white through the taut skin. His gaze remained fixed on the small wall clock mounted above the bookcase, his mind tuned into each metronomic tick as the second hand loudly announced the passing of time. When the two officers had returned from the hospital, Tom had followed Booker into the apartment, and without uttering a word, had walked into the bathroom and closed the door. Moments later, the sound of the shower had reached Booker’s ears,
Being a music educator is one of the most fulfilling jobs in the world. To become a music educator you must have passion and the dedication to continue to teach the lessons of the past. It is with enthusiastic energy teachers can create an environment where pupils understand importance of reading and appreciating music. Quality of education is pasted down from generation to generation and without strong music educators mediocracy is inevitable. I want to assist in the continuation and preservation of music by furthering my knowledge and becoming a strong
