My Pizza
My family thinks that my pizza is the best. They like it better than any other kind. My son and I had decided that I would make pizza for my husband for Father's Day this year. However, it ended up being for the whole family. That is my daughter's, their husband's, their husband's mother (two of my daughter's are married to two brothers), their children, and my son. That was for twelve people, which meant that I was going to need four pizzas. First, I needed to go to the store. Then I spread the mushrooms on top, by the time I get to the mushrooms I have already eaten a bunch of them, I love eating raw mushrooms so I need to use some from the other containers. Then I use the salad shooter and the grater attachment and grate one and a half pounds of cheddar cheese right on top of the rest of the toppings. I grate all of the cheddar first going from one pizza to the other. Then, I grate one pound of mozzarella cheese for each pizza, I grate right on top of the cheddar.
By the time the pizza's are assembled they each weigh about five pounds each. It is also about four to six inches high. I am always proud of that part, the bigger the better, I say.
Next, I place it in the oven for about fifteen minutes. I have to bake them one at a time because it has to be on the middle rack so it gets even heat, and will not burn. I want the cheese to melt, but not be brown or bubbling. Remove from the oven and let it stand for about five minutes. That way when the pizza is sliced, it will not fall apart. The bottom of the crust is a golden brown.
My husband did not know what I was cooking because there are some other dishes that I make that I use the same combinations of meat. When I call everyone to eat, it is like a stampede to get to the table. My husband was the most excited, he was the only one that did not know what was for dinner.
