How is the game of liar’s poker played? The liar’s poker can be played in-group of as small as two or as many as ten, seated in a circle. And the game is played with eight digit serial numbers on a US dollar bill. Each player has to hold dollar bill close to their chest and unseen by other players. The goal of the game is to guess how often a specific digit appears among all the bills held by players in a circle. For example, if the first bidder says three 5s, then there is at least three 5s among the player’s entire bill including his own. The next player can bid higher number like three 6s, any numbers of at higher level like four 5s, or the player can decide to challenge (I doubt it). The game proceeds on clockwise around the table until all the other players decide to challenge one single player’s bid.
Starting off: Each Player is dealt 7 cards. Before the first hand is dealt, players must shuffle the deck, and choose a random card from the deck. The lowest card chose has to deal. After this, the dealer must deal 7 cards to each player in a clockwise rotation and flip one card face up on the table. A player can have up to 7 cards in their hand at a time.

It seems that Joe Macek not only uses this method of preparation and he obviously borrowed it from a class poker Daniel Negreanu who looks at the entire box before each poker tournament he has played. Although there is partial supervision on the part of Joe Macek in that he watched the film during the game, and this probably explains why Joe did not win poker as often as Daniel.

I wouldn’t be a good poker player. I can put on the poker face, but take one look at what I’m going with my hands and you’ll know exactly what I’m thinking or feeling. My hands tell everything about me. They do not account, however, for my general tranquil stance, since my hands have to be constantly entertained.

Fiedler analyzed an online poker database with 2,127,887 player identities at five different major poker sites over a six month period. The median player only played 7 times over a six month period for a total of 4.87 hours. Community cards are cards that the whole "community" can use and there is five of them. Together will your two hole cards whoever makes the best five card hand wins. In regards to the community cards, they are dealt face up in the middle of the table. The first three cards dealt are known as the flop, then the turn and finally the river. The river is your last chance to catch the card you have been waiting for to make your hand a winner. Before and after the flop as well as before and after the river there are rounds of betting. The first two people to the left of the dealer must place a forced bet called the blind. Blinds are to assure there is always money in the pot. In order to see the flop everyone must call the amount of the blind or fold depending on their hole cards. There are four ways to bet, Check, Raise, Fold and Call. Checking means you are betting nothing and passing bet to the next player. Raising is obvious, it means you are putting more money into the pot. Folding is when you do not want to call or your cards are so bad you don't even want to check. And finally, calling is when you match the raise made by another player to see the next card. You have all four options to choose from except when a player has bet before you and then you cannot check.
Second, it is to see the bets of the other players and compare hands (a high bet meaning a seemingly good hand, low bet meaning the opposite). And third, to “bluff” your opponents for any reason. When betting, you can also “fold”. This means that you drop out of the game and cannot come back in. If choosing to fold, you lose your bet, but will not have to bet again. This type of play is done if the person does not have any sort of hand going for him. Play continues until all cards are dealt and all bets have been placed. Then you show your cards, starting with the person who placed the final bet first. The winner takes the “pot” which is all the bets that have been placed in the middle.
The difference here is the layout is meant for the casino management to have full view of the players at the tables. Roulette, Blackjack and Craps tables are placed in a circular pattern with an area in the middle roped off for the casino personnel only. Within this area called the pit, stand the pit bosses. Their prime job is to keep an eye on all the tables and regulate them. As a player you barely notice there invading eyes because you are distracted by your game. They make sure there is no foul play on your end such as making sure you pay the right amount for chips, play correctly, and act in a civil manner. They not only keep a close eye on you but they make sure the dealer gives you correct payouts, makes correct change and that the cards, dice or wheel is played properly.
