In tissues like bone and muscle stem cells can make replacements for muscle and tissue that are lost from disease or tear. There are three main types of stem cells embryonic stem cells adult stem cells and induced induced-pluripotent stem cells. Adult stem cells can usually develop into the same type of tissue that they are in. Stem cells are cells with the ability to divide for indefinite periods of time. Stem cells have the potential to save many of lives from diseases birth defects and many more things. Scientists are starting to discover that there are small numbers of adult stem cells found in our body. Adult stem cells can be isolated from the body in different ways depending on the tissue. Blood stem cells can be taken out from bone marrow. Neural stem cells can be isolated from the brain and spine. They even isolated cardiac stem cells are natural ways to get stem cells. Some advantages to using stem cell research is that they move into whatever tissue they are placed in into destroyed or damaged cells and can fit into that spot. They can also help cure diseases or even birth defects. Since burn patients usually lose a lot of skin doctors and scientists can inject stem cells to cover up burnt skin and help it heal faster. Bone marrow transports or stem cell or adult stem cell transports have been successful for over 40 years in treating some cancers. If we continue stem cell research the results would be lifesaving or can even save the world. Some disadvantages
