Kids always try to get their hands on a Nerf or airsoft gun. But imagine if people HAD to bear arms in the US. People get shot all of the time, and that is one of the major reasons why this law should be passed. Also, guns are popular, with people going paintballing and kids playing with Nerf guns. But the only problem would be that if weapons are distributed into the wrong hands, heck could break loose. This law should be passed because is for the better. The 27th Amendment, "Always Bear Arms," will get rid of the 2nd Amendment, "The Right to Bear Arms." First of all, people get shot by terrorists and murderers all the time. Take France or San Bernadino. Imagine how those events could change if people had had the firepower to shoot back,
Gun control in America is one of the most fiercely debated topics in today’s political sphere. Nearly everyone has an opinion and there is a mind-boggling amount of information typically discussed regarding the matter. Media hot takes and campaign talking points aside, far too many lives have been lost to gun violence. A total of 12,902 in 2016, to be exact. The fact that more lives have been lost to gun violence in the United States this year than the 5,000 lost in the almost 10-year war effort overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan is appalling. Is sensible and reasonable gun control progress attainable in our near future? That remains to be seen, however it is my intention to respectfully dissect an argument presented by none other than an essay
In December 1791, the Second Amendment was made: The Second Amendment offers “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep arms, and shall not be infringed.” This basically means United States gives the right to its residents to keep arms, and it guaranteed individuals the right to possess arms for their own personal defense. In the past few decades there been thousands of pages that are written seeking to uncover the meaning of the “the people,” and “bear arms,” have been strongly debated.
“A well-regulated Militia, being necessary for the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”, Second Amendment of the Declaration of Independence. While some people see this Amendment as a right to have guns, others think that this right is limited by the “a well-regulated militia” part of the Amendment. The controversial dispute between opponents and supporters of gun rights seems to be a non-ending situation, both sides of the political spectrum are trying to influence public opinion through media campaigns. The right of the people to own arms has been discussed, particularly by the public more than by the tribunal. The Supreme Court, in June 2008, by a vote of 5–4, decided that Americans

The Second Amendment to the Constitution gave United States citizens the right to bear arms. Although, the Second Amendment stated: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms. However, the framers could not foresee the type of violence we have in our cities today. Innocent citizens have and are being brutally killed due to this amendment. Stricter gun control laws must be enacted to receive these types of weapons.
In the United States the right to own a gun is enshrined by the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The text of the Second Amendment reads: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” (Adams, 2004). The founding fathers borrowed this idea from Niccolo Machiavelli, the Italian thinker. He wrote about the weapons necessary for freedom to defend themselves, to hunt, and to protect the state against foreign invasion. For two hundred years, this tradition has become an integral part of American culture that spawned many cultural phenomena that have become the hallmark of the United States. For example, duels in the desert areas of the
America’s gift to my generation is our rights. One right in particular is the second amendment of the constitution “The Right To Bear Arms”. The second amendment of the bill of rights guarantees the right to own firearms and use them. The second amendment was approved 8 years after the revolutionary war.The second amendment was created December 15 1791. The ten amendments were created so they wouldn’t be put in a situation where they were controlled by a tyrannical government again, and to set the foundation for our newly founded government. The ten amendments were written in independence hall in Philadelphia. The second amendment isn’t just referring to the use of a weapon as a means of hunting but to protect you or many persons if needed.
A well-regulated militia necessary of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. It isn't much, but the power in these words is what keeps this country free. It's what keeps the people in this country safe. Everyone has their own opinion on the subject, but the facts show that the right to bear arms benefits this country more than it hurts.
A 12 year old girl in Oklahoma was all alone in her home. Suddenly, a loud banging began on the door to the house. The glass was shattered and the intruder entered the home. Kendra, paralyzed with fear, bewildered of what she should do. She called her mother asking for help, “Kendra, get the gun and go get in my closet now! And call 911!” As recorded by the 911 tapes the girl was in a panic hiding in the closet with a .40 caliber glock. A police officer was on his way, but then, the knob of the door started to turn. Kendra fired a shot through the door hitting Stacy Jones (intruder) in the shoulder, sending him fleeing. The police later caught him and charged him with first degree burglary (Greenblatt, Mark. "Kendra St. Clair:
The second amendment, a now widely talked about topic. With recent issues in society, this amendment has become controversial. This amendment states “A well regulated militia, be necessary to the security of the free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” This amendment was ratified in 1791 and is in the original bill of rights. In colonial America, before its ratification, the right to bear arms was considered a necessary due to their believed nature right to protect themselves and their property. However, there was a need to declare gun ownership as a specific right. This amendment have proven itself important to American from the beginning. At first, it prevented the new federal government from
The right to bear arms is in the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. All Americans are given the right to bear arms; however, many have taken this debate to a new level, and the scrutiny of what is allowable by this right is questioned daily. While Americans have a legal right to own a gun, it does not necessarily mean that a person’s morals line up with what was intended by the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. The Second Amendment was established to protect the right to bear arms. A concealed carry permit allows a gun owner to bring their weapons on their person or in their vehicles. However, if a privately-owned parking lot does not allow for a car to be parked with the gun in it, the gun owner should abide
What would our country be like if we were not able to defend ourselves? How would you feel if there was an intruder in your home, and you were not permitted to have a gun to be able to defend yourself and your family? Being in a situation like this is terrifying. In the United States, the people are allowed to protect themselves thanks to the Second Amendment stated in the Bill of Rights. Amendment II states, “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed” (The Bill of Rights, Amendment II). The brilliant men who wrote the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were determined on having a successful government after breaking away from England. The
The Second Amendment grants a United States citizen right of gun ownership to individuals for purposes that also include self-defense. In today’s modern day, citizens debate about whether the Second Amendment protects a private right of individuals to keep and bear arms, or a right that can be exercised only through militia organizations such as the National Guard. However the Amendment was effectively acknowledged in light of. that the government should not have the ability the privilege of the general population to keep and carry weapons, any more than it to have the ability to shorten the right to speak freely or restrict the free practice of religion. The Second Amendment initially connected just to the national government, leaving the states to direct weapons as they saw fit.
The context of the Second Amendment has frequently been debated in American history. Namely, the constitutionality of issuing restrictive laws on gun control based on the Second Amendment has caused controversy. In the last fifty years the prevalence of this topic has grown dramatically. With the increase in recent tragic events, such as school shootings and homicides, guns laws have become a common topic. Gun control activists have often sought stricter restrictions and laws to prevent citizens from purchasing and possessing guns in general. While there are many interesting arguments on both sides of the issue, it poses an important question on our inherent rights, as guaranteed
Have you ever had a life threatening situation? I will prove having the right to Bear Arms can be a lifesaver. I use guns in my life when I hunt or if something were to happen I could protect my family. I use guns hunting like if we need more food because our money is tight i can use guns to go hunt and whatever game I get my family and I will eat it. Someone attacks my family i can also use a gun to shoot or scare the attackers off. Someone who attacks me when I am walking to my car on a late night i can also use them to protect myself. Altho people may use them to harm others there always more good than bad.
