There are many things that change societies and nation in the nineteen-century one of these things is modernity. It emerged in Europe, especially in French and British than it establish to all European countries. The term modernity has many synonym words in the whole world like modernity, industrial period, and post modernity. Modernity is a term appeared by philosophers used in social sciences to describe the historical period that describes the appearance of the new ideas, social changes, growth of industry and the development of science. Moreover, it breaks away the establishment of rules, traditions and conventions. There are many changed had been happen with the rise of modernity. First, it is to change the idea of church authority. Before modernity the church was the government. It was the monopoly over people, society, and the information media of the time. But with the rise of modernity people go away from church authority. Second, modernity is emerging new type of social system that changed the old traditional system. This new system was related to social science. This period of time called information society or consumer society because at this period of time many new science appeared also the people become consumed. Many new things were invented because of science. One of these things is calendar. Calendar is a table of date and days, which it shows the date and day in the whole world. It also shows that everyone in the earth follows the same dating system. Another example is the invention of the clock. The clock shows the time in each country. It also shows when the time for specific thing start and end. For example, it shows when the train will leave country A and when it will reach country
