The Three Little Pigs

One story that can be directly compared across cultures is The Three Little Pigs, originating in England, where it was first printed in the 1840s, but the story dates back much further. In the original English version, the first two little pigs are devoured by the big bad wolf, who is finally outwitted by the last pig who lures the wolf down the chimney into a pot of boiling water. The Japanese version, however, ends with the same fate for the wolf, but differs greatly in how the wolf reaches that fate. Unlike the English version where the third pig outwits the wolf on his own, the Japanese version tells of how the first two pigs escaped their flimsy homes and worked together with the third little pig to defeat the wolf.

On April 17th, 2009, the much-awaited documentary, Beer Wars Documentary, was shown in many cinemas across the United States. It’s a documentary that discusses the grassroots efforts of the craft beer industry having been filmed similar to a Michael Moore style documentary. It is a self-styled documentary by filmmaker Anat Baron portraying the beer industry in America from the vantage of small artisanal brewers and specialty beer producers. During the 30 days preceding the release, there was a flurry of social media activity that created a buzz about the documentary creating its publicity. In the buzz, the brand promise of Beer Wars Documentary asserted that it would take its viewers inside the boardrooms and backrooms of America’s beer industry

If you want to know the truth, three phony piglets lived in three different goddamn houses. The first crummy house was made of straw, that was a helluva stupid decision. As the phony pig was living his phony life, all of a sudden, a crummy fox came out of nowhere. He reminded me of my phony roomate, old Stradlater from Pencey. The crummy fox knocked on the phony door.

In the story, "The Three Little Pigs," the theme is sometimes the underdog wins. An example of this is, "Boy were the pigs happy, they quickly tied up the wolf." This is important because the less powerful, yet highly intelligent pigs were able to conquer the mighty and terrifying wolf. Furthermore, when the underdogs think thoroughly through their decisions it leads to success. Another example of the theme appears "To get rid of the him forever, they flushed him down the toilet.” This is important because the the pigs were so ecstatic that they defeated the wolf, they went a little overboard. Furthermore, When people defeat bad people they deserve to celebrate but the tend to go overboard. They are usually the underdogs that over celebrate.

A point of view is a position in which the story is being told, but did you know that there is two point of views in The Three Little Pigs and The True Story of the Three Little pigs? The two stories have views changed by how the author tells them. In the story of the pigs it’s in third person, but in the wolf’s view he just wants sugar and see’s them as a snack so it’s first person. The story of “The Three Little Pigs” and “The True story of the Three Little pigs” have different point of views that help the readers understanding of the wolf.

Everyone has their own opinion as to what an ideal society might look like and operate. But Socrates shows his followers and readers what he observes and learn throughout his journey to find the ideal society. The City of Pigs was created to be the ideal society, but the people of the city were not content with the way things were established and run. The people seemed to want more than what was needed and provided for, which is what lead the upbringing of The City of Luxury. This city would have divided social classes, forms of greed, and invited the idea of war. The City of Pigs showed far more examples of what Socrates defines what it means to be Just than the City of Luxury.

In this story the Three Little Pigs are being harmed by a wolf, the wolf apparently blows two of the three pigs houses down and eat them to their death. As the wolf tries to track down the last pig of the pigs and tries to eat him the third pig outsmarts him. As the wolf tries to enter from the chimney of the pigs house the pig places a boiling pot at the bottom and makes himself a wolf dinner.

Once upon a time, there lived 3 little pigs and a big bad WOLF. The three little pigs were brothers, the youngest Billy, the second youngest Bill, and the oldest Bob which is me. Oh, and The Wolf’s name is Pig which makes no sense because we are the pigs? You probably know the story about my brothers and I but I will tell you what I saw.

The Story Elephants Can Remember is a story about a case that was around fifteen years ago from the setting of the story. This case is about a married couple named the Ravenscroft’s who everyone believed committed suicide and there was no signs of foul play. The case gets questioned over a decade later due to the fact a woman named Mrs. Burton-Cox wants to know the truth because her son wants to marry the Ravenscroft’s daughter Celia. This book has similarities to the other book we read called Five Little Pigs.

Modern picture books are much more informative than the ancient fairy tales and folklores. An artist can express his /her idea vividly through the picture, the words are insufficient to describe a certain situation. David Wiesner's The Three Pigs, Anthony Browne's Voices in the Park, and Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith's The Stinky Cheese Man are the fine examples of postmodern picture books. If the children are taught explaining the illustration with a minimal amount of texts, it gives more comprehensive knowledge to the children. Especially, when we use animated characters, it seems more agreeable even if the animal characters behave like human beings. The postmodern writers also value the worth of some ancient

The author wrote the novella as a re-telling of this event, but in a more humorous manner by using animals to represent the different aspects of the revolution. The three primary pigs accurately depicted the Bolshevik Political Party Russia, both being leaders of their own revolutions, promising to benefit their people, as well as having key roles in the uprising of Marxism, or Animalism, and the social class of workers.

I read your story The True Story of the Three Little Pigs [TTLP], and have read many versions of it since I was a little kid. However, I didn’t really know the meaning behind it. Now that I am a young adult, I re-read it and love it because of its morals. I really enjoyed the Third Little Pig because of his hard work, intelligence and the way he carries himself. It is hard to believe I still have a lot of things in common with this character. I now understand as an adult – the child’s lesson is to prepare for the struggles in life, how to carry myself different from my surroundings and also represent myself. – which I now see as parts of one tale.
