“You think you know everything you, well you don’t. Do you know how hard it is to be trapped here, your the last one of your kin that can free this poor soul. Oh so pretty,oh so beautiful, you can free me,I know you can.” The eyes at the end of the hallway squinted at me,the voice laughed, and these white circles at the end of the dark hallway were no longer in my sight. And it ended in that one house. Again I explained in a rush to my friend as we were driving,to this house I kept seeing in my dreams,it’s been haunting me ever since I turned fifteen. But I don’t know why. “Nice scary story Danny, but I still don’t believe you.” I rolled my eyes and looked out the window smacking my lips in the process “How many variations do you need Maria.” She snickered, she knew I was a little frustrated about this situation, she always would refer to the person in my dreams as ‘The Trapped Ghost’ sometimes I’d laugh at it,sometimes I’d get mad at it but know I really need answers. “This isn’t a game Maria, this is real life.” “Yeah I bet,I’ll believe it when I see it” She slurred in her very thick english accent as we parked by the house. Just like in the dream,an old dusty house with mold everywhere, broken windows, chipped paint,it was horrible, but at least it has a satellite. I also noticed a small square building next to it with bars covering the windows and some type of metal railing on top of it to. “Is looking at the house going to solve your Freddy Krueger
It was a dark and stormy night. I, Jonathan Harker, was shaking and I didn't know what was going on. I was seeing terrifying shadows around my room. Also, last night, I thought a person or a thing was behind me, but I couldn't see its reflection through the mirror. I didn't know what to do, so I started packing.
It was a cold Friday evening, i was walking home from school and i heard a scream coming from my neighbors house. i walked up the drive and knocked on the door, but nobody answered. i slowly opened the door and creeped in.the house looked empty. i looked around and noticed a blood trail leading to the upstairs hallway. in the hallway there was a kitchen knife on the little corner stand by the stairs. i grabbed the knife just incase i got attaked. i heard crying coming from the other side of one of the upstairs doors. when i opened the door the first thing that i saw was a body lying on the floor and a young girl was hovering over it crying. She looked lke she was either 3 or4. Dr. Gabor Mate, a Hungarian born Canadian physician, who is also a neurologist, psychiatrist, and psychologist, but who specializes in the study and treatment of addiction, reveals revolutionary evidence pertaining to addiction. In Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Dr. Mate worked with patients suffering chronic drug addiction for 12 years. With 20 years of experience as a family practitioner, Dr. Mate is a renowned speaker and teacher throughout North America; sharing his extensive knowledge with diverse audiences including health care professionals and educators (Mate, About Dr. Mate, 2016). The Realm of Hungry Ghosts, Dr. Mate’s most recent best-selling book, illuminates the origins and causes of addiction. As Co-founder of Compassion for Addiction (a non-profit organization), Dr. Gabor Mate encourages a greater understanding; “addiction is the attempt of affected human beings to escape a profound discomfort with themselves and their world” (Mate, Compassion4Addiction, 2015). Drawing on cutting-edge science, Dr. Mate presents the world with a shocking discovery: “The source of addiction is not to be found in genes, but in the early childhood environment.” Therefore, Dr. Mate simply “calls for a more compassionate approach toward the addict.” (Mate, 2016) As cutting-edge science concludes addiction to be a mental health issue, rather than criminal behavior, the American legal system demonstrates a devastating disservice to its own society.
I haven’t been able to sleep for the past month. I hear my door creak and I look at the door. I see someone open the door very slowly before coming in. I look to see Maria tiptoeing into my room. “What are you doing?” I ask “You know your mom would kill me if she saw us.”

I decided to walk up to the house on the hill, where Nancy stays. I walked up the stairs, holding tightly to the railing as the ground was awful slippery. I finally reached the top and noticed the light from the attic room turn on. When I walked to the door, I noticed it was slightly open. For fear that something might have happened to Nancy, I walked inside. I could hear muffled laughter of a woman from upstairs. The floors creaked as I walked toward the stairs. The lights were dimly lit and every once in a while, they would flicker. "Nancy?" I called out as I placed my foot on the first step. The muffled laughter
I woke up later when I heard some rattling at the door handle. Panicked, I call out “Ethan, is that you?” As soon as I said that, the rattling stopped and I could hear footsteps in the hallway as the front door slammed open. But there wasn’t anybody there. I screamed as loud as I could and not even two minutes later Ethan was running inside to find me. “What’s wrong?!” He asked looking terrified. “Nothing, just a bad dream I guess.” I said with tears streaming down my cheeks. “That doesn’t explain why the door was open.” He said sternly. I insisted he should go home and he gave me his phone number in case I needed anything. I tried as hard as I could to stay awake, but eventually I succumbed to my
My mother was out of town, so I knew it was not her. I grew afraid of the strange woman in my house, the maroon-colored walls in my bedroom was giving me an ominous feeling, making my room look stained with blood. I went quietly out of my door and down the hallway, knowing that they were arguing in the kitchen by the volume of their voices. I paused in the middle of the hall, unsure whether to continue or to go back to my bedroom. I only decided on the former after I heard a muffled shout and the woman’s voice laughing. This decision was the biggest mistake of my life.

“In the year of 1989, there was a street named Elm, in the state of Wyoming. Few chose to live on that street, and they all knew about the haunted house, up on the hill, on the west side of town, coming off of Elm. Once, I spent the week with some friends and, Halloween came upon us, while I stayed with them.” I was telling my first-grade brother and his friends stories to scare them out of their wits. Besides, no one wants little kids tagging along with you to go trick or treating, when you could go with your friends to Haunted Houses, and not ones set up by the town hall. “We were just about to pass the house, not thinking anything of it, when we heard a moan coming from Old Man Reaper’s house.” Their eyes grew wide with fear. Mr. G.
There 's that look people get told they have, where they look like they 've seen a ghost. I want to know what it means to have that feeling but knowing you 're the ghost. It had been too long since I stepped foot anywhere near these parts of the city. After I turned and changed into who I am now, I never wanted to risk getting seen by any members of the family that runs this part. That is actually a good reason they have never been able to extend their territory any further. It 's kind of easy to hear when a gang war is about to break out for someone to gain new ground. And for me, it 's all too easy to join the defending family and help kill men you were once friends with to make sure you had the room to run fucking wild. I 'm made a few good friends, nah I made a few bad acquaintances by doing that. The men that run other parts of this city know me by who I am now, only one knows me by who I was. Maybe it 's for the best he knows Big Mac is against him, less likely that it 's me behind the mask then. God, in those days, before I grew up and found out doing everything I was getting told to do, without being told to do them was so much better, Claire not counting, she just above another voice in my head. But the freedom I have, may not seem like a good thing for the city and its people, but I love being me and only this me.
