Releasing a movie alongside the likes of Batman vs Superman and Suicide Squad doesn’t make it hard for a movie to show audience a good film. However, Wonder Woman was able to not only achieve this effortless victory, but also bring a distinction to franchise that desperately needed saving. Not only was this origin story able to stand alone but it was also able to weave itself into the distinct top origin movies of all time. The shining point of this film is the exceptional characters who are gracefully written and exquisitely performed.
While the movie has many praiseworthy qualities such as it’s CGI, cinematography, and directing; the true strength of the movie lies in it's characters. The main hindering element in many superhero movies is it's primitive, rudimentary characters. Wonder Woman does not contain this handicap. The director, Patty Jenkins, creates dynamic characters that overshadow the many other amazing qualities that this movie has. Since the movie itself is defined by its characters I conclude therefore the review should reflect that. Set during the final months of World War 1, the movie focuses on the Amazonian hero Diana Prince and her struggles to save and understand the motives of mankind. Diana is a strong dazzling, statuesque lead, who dominates every scene she is in. Throughout the film she goes through a transcendent character development, highlighted by actress Gal Godot’s beautiful portrayal of Amazonian. Wonder Woman’s strength is drawn from her
Imagine being different. Trying to walk through the park with people glancing at you wherever you go, shuffling away from you wherever you walk. You understand why they avoid looking you in the eye or shaking your hand when they meet you. It is because you do not look ordinary. You like to imagine you are ordinary; you do ordinary things such as eat ice cream, play xbox and listen to music.
Who do you think you are? There are many factors that shape one’s identity. But the two most important factors that can shape one’s identity are family and friends.
Professor Marston and the Wonder Women tells a bold and provocative story about psychologist and college professor William Moulton Marston (Luke Evans), and the behind-the-scenes realities which led to his conceiving of, and authoring an initial run of comic books, introducing his creation of Wonder Woman to readers of all ages in the 1940s.
They are geniuses; they come up with original ideas to take care of themselves and others. They are fearless, which it comes to show that they don’t rely on anyone but themselves. Athena and Diana were very bright women because both were against injustice and would fight towards one’s right. Both were intelligent, but in their own way, Diana Prince showed her true emotions, “watching Wonder Woman grow up surrounded by the love of other
Have you read Wonder or Summer ball? They are both amazing books. In the story Wonder, by R.J. Palacio, Julian is a big bully and in the story Summer ball, by Mike Lupica, Lamar is also a big bully. Both Lamar and Julian are big bullies because they bully the main character, and not only the main character but also other characters. The first reason I think they are both bullies is because they both bully the main character in the book they are in.
The reason why I am enjoying on it because I love action and adventure movie, and the whole picture is extremely lively and brilliant, which impress me. From the poster, I think that the film will be interesting with many powerful senses between the woman and cruel gods, between the woman and monsters. Moreover, because of the view that “Wonder Woman” is exceptional in vanquishing the enemy, and her status as a very good warrior is known very well. This relates to culture because throughout human history, many wars have happened, and warriors in the past were glorified, and people enjoy seeing the enemy destroyed and losing. The poster also relates to that people will fight wars to protect the piece and some people believe that a female hero woman in Star War, and a quality between men and women. The appeal presented is that it is awesome to be a very good warrior to fight in a consistent manner, to allow people to have success at doing away with the enemy, and finally abstaining peace. And everyone in the world should act and protect our world; woman should be equal to the men. The escape offered are love and violence, physical strength and gender, and war and

The article “Out of Character: Wonder Woman’s Strength is Her Compassion- What Happened”, by Stevie St. John takes a look at the various depictions of Wonder Woman’s character. As many know, Wonder Woman is shown to have compassion for people with the goal of fighting for “peace, justice and equality” (St. John, pg. 459). However, there was a time when Wonder Woman was depicted to be angry and heated when using her powers (St. John, pg 459). Regardless of the slight multiple shifts of Wonder Woman’s character, super heroes were simply present to fight evil and defend justice. However the methods have shifted and the article proposes that September 11th played an influence in the superhero industry. With this, there is an article by the Los Angeles Times named “Post- 9/11 world: What caused the rise of superhero movies” by Cassandra Hsiao, that takes a look at this new movement.
The characteristic of strength is often given to characters in literature. A strong character is often well-liked and well-known by readers. Wonder Woman and Hercules both share the characteristic of superhuman strength. However, the way that they obtained their strength was different. Hercules received his superhuman strength as a gift from the gods (Bonnell “Mythological Heroes”). He was gifted strength, along with, determination and intelligence. Wonder Woman, on the other hand, was born with the trait. She is a part of the immortal Amazonian race, and although she is considered a god of war and attends Mount Olympus, her superhuman strength was noticed at birth (Finch et. al.). But nevertheless, Wonder Woman still shares similarities with Hercules when it comes to
Her mission is to bring love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the hatred of men. The heroine Princess Diana of Themyscira, more famously known as Wonder Woman, has gone through various reimagining and different retellings in both media and comic books. But all of these have the same basic origin. She was born and lived the majority of her life on the isolated paradise island of Themyscira, an island inhabited entirely of Amazonian women. Everything changed one day when pilot, Captain Steve Trevor crashed on the mysterious island. Soon after he crashed, as he was being held and treated on the island, Queen Hippilyta held a tournament to decide who would have the honor of escorting Captain Trevor back to the

I commend the authors who stick their neck out on the line to express themselves in a creative way. A way in which attracts and pulls the reader in, possess them to enjoy the book. A book that’s not only a comic and is a good read, but as a deep meaning to it. The comic books talks about controversial topics that nobody else dears to talk about or express their own opinion on. The most common superhero that stars in many comic books, Wonder Woman has a secret; and a deeper mean than what is perceived. She’s the iconic image of women’s suffrage and rights. “Wonder Woman is psychological propaganda for the new type of women who, I believe, should rule the world” (Lepore pg 2) Wonder Woman conveys the strength, courage and bravery women had to
The movie starts with a beautiful setting of Themyscira, where Diana is brought up by Hippolyta, Amazonian queen (Connie Nielsen) and other amazon warriors. She learns to fight from her aunt, Antiope (Robin Wright). The opening action sequence in Themyscira was incredible and emotional as well when Antiope dies. WWI setting gave Diana to develop her character through the movie. According to Petty Jenkin, “since the movie will show Diana's first time venturing into the outside world, it was important to place her in an environment where she would see firsthand the horrors that humanity is capable of.
