It was the worst day of my life. Let 's start with the not so bad part of the story. It was our first family vacation all together. My first vacation was in Arizona with my mom to see my aunt and uncle and two of my cousins. Anyway, we went to Disneyland to ride a bunch of roller coasters. I have never been on a roller coaster, but everyone else in my family loves them. So, I wanted to try it to see if I liked them too! There was a one of a time roller coaster that they only had for the summer of 2012, and I was for sure that I wanted to go on it. It was a huge giant roller coaster that went over the entire park. It went through the trees and even underwater! I was so pumped to go on it. My mom and I were in line for the Disaster, well …show more content…
It was a rainy summer day and all was going well until the unimaginable happened. We were good friends, and still are, but it all changed. My sister’s friend, Callie, her brother’s Chase and Shane, my sister and I were all playing hide and seek at day care one day. It was raining and cold outside, so we were allowed to play hide and seek inside the house. Which to us, was a big deal.
“I can’t believe that we’re allowed to play inside,” Chase said
“Well, we have to be careful not to break anything… or anyone,” I said as I made sure to get the message clear so we would be able to do it again someday, if it ever happened again. We got so excited, we ended up playing tag instead. That’s when it all went down. Callie was “it” and was chasing me to the living room. She tagged me and then I turned around and went after her clear back to the bathroom.
“I’m gonna get ya!” I said with excitement in my voice.
“No your not,” said Callie with assertiveness in her voice as she was sure she was not going to be tagged back.
She went to shut the bathroom door, slipped, and I shut the door closed all the way instead. Which doesn 't seem like a big deal… but her four fingers were in the door jam.
“Oh my gosh! Help!” Callie said while wincing in pain.
“I’m so sorry Callie. I didn’t mean to!!” I said while crying, feeling horrible about what just happened.
“Hurry, open the door,” Nancy, our babysitter, said while being put in an extremely stressful situation,
The deal was we go on the roller coaster I wanted to go on first (Rico Loco) then the “crazy” roller coaster. (The Great White) The first ride was fun, and we got soaked, but now it was time for the feet-dangling, upside down ride that I was not ready for. The whole time I waited in line I was freaking out and my heart was pounding. I’ve ridden rides before, but nothing as crazy as this one was. The ride was overall great, all the twists and turns were crazy and I was losing my voice every second because of how loud I was screaming. I am glad my siblings talked me into this, because now I love riding roller
It was the day my family and I were going to Six Flags Over TEXAS.I love that place I go there all the time on my birthday. I love going on all the rides except the huge rides that can give you a heart attack like the Superman ride that can go about 80 miles an hour , the scary rides like the Joker that twists and turns and goes upside down , and the twisty rides like Catwoman whip P.S. don't go on it after you just ate.I only go on the rides that I know I won't fall off and break any of my bones.I know I’m a very safe person.
It was our last day at the park and it started off great. My three older siblings, my parents and I went on all the rides we could get on together, but since I was tiny and my siblings wanted to get on roller coasters we decided to split up. My siblings would go with my dad to do more adventurous things while my mom and I would hit up the smaller kids zone. We would then meet up right in front of the castle for the fireworks.
It happened around thanksgiving brake, the day that changed my life… It started off a beautiful day, the sun was out, the kids were playing, mom was working in the garden, and my sister was in her room neglecting life. I woke up to a great day only for it to end a disaster! I started off with my daily routine on my week off; wake up at one in the afternoon, get up, take a shower, get some food, and then go outside. After my daily routine I walked in to clean the house while my mom was in the garden pulling weeds. I started off folding blankets, then I go to do the dishes and as soon as I start the door slams open. There she is Anna a ten year old girl who is my youngest sister’s best friend. She runs past me in a hurry to the bathroom, however
“I’m so sorry Callie. I didn’t mean too!!” I said while crying, feeling horrible about what just happened.
The roller coaster was called mad mouse and was actually fairly short. Before we went on we were able to convince our mom to go with us on the coaster and we managed to coax her into riding it. She had not ridden on a coaster in 5 years. After we finished the mad mouse, we wanted to do something daring so we went on the biggest coaster there was. It was called the shivering timbers. The coaster was the only wooden coaster at the park but it was also the longest coming in at around just over a mile in length. The roller coaster can reach speeds up to 60 mph. It was literally a blast. We went on a few other coaster but it is hard to recall what they were about except for the Thunder Hawk. The Thunderhawk was the fastest ride there, but the was a minuscule issue. The ride had been stuck upside down and was not budging. My mom had decided that we were forbidden from riding the ride. This was an
I walked her and we stood at her doorstep and we both laughed. “What do I do now?” I stupidly asked
My sister Rebecca who is 5,and I are very close. One Normal Friday Morning,we were taking my sister Rebecca to school, we were sitting in the car for my mom to finish getting ready. Rebecca thought it was a good idea to back out of the driveway for my mom. Good thing I was in my seatbelt because, she started the car and switched the gear. She didn’t know what the letters on the gear meant, so she just switched to either one. She was about to step on the peddle to back up. But,then my brother Gabe almost saved the day, he yelled, “NO!!!!”.
Sometime during early fall, I was on the back of my grandpa’s truck that we borrowed I don’t know exactly what we were doing the day but I do remember I was about 7 and we were picking up trash. My current care giver in which I won’t reveal the identity of went inside to go get water for the both of us it only took about a minute until she returned. Little did we both know my life could come to a horrible conclusion in the brief minute. While she was gone I did what any ignorant 7 year old would do I slacked off and decided to pass the time by waiting.
As we went outside she saw my sister and sprinted to her. Whereas I ran inside to get an
“I’m sorry I asked to much of you. I shoulden’t of done that to you.” Laura sobs.
Hiding a broken bone is impossible and not very smart. My brother Isaiah and I were having a sleepover with about four of our best friends. As we waited for them to arrive we played one of our usual games, where we jumped off of our bunk bed onto a pile of blankets and pillows pretending to be superhero’s. Isaiah bravely jumped first throwing his arm up imitating Spiderman shooting a web. Being the competitive tomboy I was I bet him I could do that “way better just like the superhero”. I jumped with the spirit of Spiderman in my heart and landed basically on my face, the only thing cushioning my fall, my right arm. An enormous burning sensation engulfed my arm, I knew immediately it was broken. I decided to hide this injury and following that decision was the worst night of my life. The pain was excruciating nothing like I've ever felt before. Sleeping became perilous and the hospital was even more horrifying at night.
“Really? All this commotion to get to your house? You truly are nuts”, Cristina said.
It began as usual with the sprinting down the hall like usual to get to class.. wow what nerds. I trudged slowly watching my blue vans to Lia’s locker only to find out she was already in class. Lia was supposed to wait for me every day to come to her locker, wow everyone was turning into such idiots. I wandered casually to my class only to get roared at by my teacher Mrs. Morgan for being seven minutes late to class, but I didn’t care I was having the worst most stressful day ever, last night I was up till 3 am watching Dancing with the stars Season 21 only to watch my favorite pair get eliminated by senseless judge Julianne Hough. Sadly I was less than a minute into class and already got yelled at. Mrs. Morgan hated me, I don’t know if it
Everyone needs some form of escape from reality. While this varies from person to person, with the entertainment business booming, it is safe to infer that many find their comfort with movie theatres. Many of these people like to be engulfed by the story of their movie. My escape, however, comes from just being inside the theatre. There is something magical about theatres that keeps bringing me back.
