There are many things to be thankful for. Whether it’s the moments that bring great significance or the seconds just passing by like the wind. There are also many things that we take for granted; each little step we take to the near future. It’s as if we’re programmed to only care for things that take a huge part in life, but the little occasions also matter. I’m extremely thankful for my family; who knows where I would be without them. Although sometimes I take them for granted and wish for better leaders in my life, I know that there will be no one else to turn to in horrendous situations. When I was little, I used to be so jealous of other kids who had “better” parents. Out of habit, I would always compare my parents to them – but I’ve
I value my family so much. They don’t always do what I want them to do, but they always do what I need them to do. I would like to introduce you to some of the most favorite people in my life. First, my mom (Helen) and my dad (Terry). My parents are just so perfect and they have created a wonderful young lady. I wish I was the only child, but, I’m not. I have two siblings, both of my sisters are older than me and married with children. I have a sister on my
Although my life is not like those of a typical teenager’s, I am and will be forever grateful for all that my parents had provided me. For providing me with love and care, for raising me to become a disciplined individual, for providing me with the inspiration that I need when I fail at times, and most importantly, for finding the courage to send me off to college even without the full financial ability to. I am proud of my international background, of my parents, of my heritage and myself for finding the courage
In conclusion everyday we feel gratitude for something sometimes not even knowing it and it is a big thing in our lives that affects us a lot. People getting something for you, your parents buy you something that you want or just something happens that is just makes you happy and it makes you feel
Every year, there is one day dedicated to giving thanks in America. That day is known as Thanksgiving. In the weeks before, families will make plans to get together with relatives, and decide who will bring what food. On the day of, people will spend the morning cooking. Later, the guests arrive and most likely sit down to wait for food, watching football. These actions are just a few examples of what people are thankful for. As for myself, there are many things I am thankful for, to many to remember or even know. But there are a few main things I am very thankful for.
I Don’t remember much of my family when I was little, But I can tell you that I am thankful for the family that I have. At the age of two my mom and dad had to make some tough decisions by leaving me in Nicaragua with my grandmother and grandfather , but I don’t want you to think that my mom and dad did not care about me , about leaving me behind. But the reason behind as why my parents had to make that decision was because of my brother Marco who had a heart decease. That in Nicaragua there wasn’t enough resources to make a heart surgery so they decided to live the country to migrate to THE UNITED STATE so they could do a open heart surgery to my brother, in which my brother did not make it . At the age of five year old I remember sitting in the stairs in front of the house, it was a cloudy day while I was sitting their I recall looking at the sky and thinking about my mom and dad were they could be at the time I was looking at the sky.
Because being thankful for what you have is one of the simplest and easiest ways to lift your mood. To give your motivation a jolt. And to live a happier life.
My family was and is still very important in my life. Sometimes I would become melancholy when I think about how far apart I am from them. On the other hand, I do become enlightened when I think about how both sides of my families are close when I visit them in Missouri. As a child, never really had a birthday party or received a lot of presents, but when my family comes during my birthday, I feel like I’m receiving hundreds of presents. My family makes me feel safe and secure when I’m feeling down.
It’s much easier to take smaller things for granted such as waking up every day, providing and, having a roof over your head. People don’t appreciate these things, because they think these things are supposed to happen in their everyday life. Appreciating smaller things in life shows that you have gratitude for everyday situations., these things and situations are easy to take for granted. This will not stop negativity situations from happening, but it helps us from emphasizing the importance in our
Take the time in the mornings to remember what it is that we are grateful for: a loving family, a roof over your head, even take time to thank the oven for working. It doesn’t matter, just the practice of being grateful for a few minutes can help jog your memory of the better things in life even if things are tough.
It is important to be thankful for many reasons. We are thankful so we can be grateful for everything we have. We are thankful so we can humble ourselves and not take everything we have for granted. If you are not thankful you might seem stuck up or snotty because you seem like you are taking everything for granted. I am thankful for hockey, for entertaining me, I am also thankful for money, so my family can afford a home and food. And finally I am thankful for my grandparents, for loving me and buying me what I want.
Being surrounded by love and care is one of the most valuable pieces to living. Thousands of people, like myself, live most of their life without a caring family. Other people lose their family by either death or by simply being rejected. My biological parents never cared for me nor my siblings. When I was sixteen, I lost my mother. The mother who adopted me yet loved me. I lost her to a vicious disease known as cancer. When she was alive, I remember dreading coming home and hearing her nag. After losing her, I instantly forgot what I had. I immediately regretted having that attitude towards her. I should have brought that cup of coffee she wanted in bed. I should have listened to her when she spoke. More than anything, I wished I could have been there for her more. I wish I could take back so many things and appreciate what I had. She was my family. The first and last person I called
So don’t wait around for a big wakeup call to tell you that you should have been grateful. Be grateful now. And be grateful for the people in your life, the love that you feel, the little things that make you feel good to the core. Be grateful for the people that you have lost and the people that are still living with you. Every moment, every person, every experience and every memory is
I am thankful for a lot of things but these are the three top things I am thankful for. First, I am thankful for my loving parents because they motivate me. Second, I’m thankful for money because it buys me food so I don’t starve. The last thing I am thankful for is education because I would be nowhere without education.
I am thankful to have both of my parents with me. I am also thankful to live under the same roof as them. I’m glad that they are my real parents.
I believe there are many traits in life that make you a good person and lead you to live a happy life, but being grateful is one of the best traits you could obtain. Being grateful is one thing I feel many people in our society forget to do. One day I learned to always appreciate what I have instead of what I don’t.
