While all of the protections in the Bill of Rights are vital to the everyday workings of American life, the three most important protections are, in my personal opinion, freedom of speech, freedom o religion, and right to legal council. Of these three vital protections, free speech is the most important. Free speech, in the 1’st Amendment, is important because it is a fundamental human right that should never be barred. Freedom of speech is a stepping-stone for nearly all other human rights, aiding human society to develop, grow, and prosper. Speech is vital for human change, and without it, we would be helplessly dependant on our rulers, and change would come slowly. Another important protection is Freedom of Religion. America itself is
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of Religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech," this Amendment is the most important part of the constitution. Without free speech, we the people of the United States would not be able to speak openly and freely about issues that affect our everyday life.
Today, the Bill of rights outline some of our most important liberties as individuals of the United States. Aspects of everyday life are granted though the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. These first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution protect basic liberties such as the freedom of religion and freedom of speech. The Bill of Rights install limits on governmental power. They protect people from an overruling government and contribute to the image of “free America” that many immigrants seek the U.S. for. Although the positive contributions of the Bill of Rights are more clearly seen in our modern society, these ten amendments were not always viewed as necessary throughout history.
The Bill of Rights are the first ten amendments in the Constitution. The first amendment explains the basic rights freedoms. They consist of, freedom to religion, freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of a peaceful assembly, and freedom of a petition of grievances. The freedoms are very self explanatory. There are also many ways that they can be abused. In this essay, ways the freedoms can be misused will be portrayed.
The freedom of speech is a freedom where you can say what you want if it is necessary and appropriate. I think it is important because if you want to stand and say something what you believe and you want people to hear it, you can stand up and say what you believe is right to say.
I think that the first amendment “Right to freedoms of religion and speech; right to assemble and to petition the government for redress of grievances” is important because whithout it, it will be impossible that the other ones would ever make sense and also gives you individual rights.
Civil liberties are essential to the American people. The Civil liberties of the Constitution refers to The Bill of Rights. And the Bill of Rights, guarantee all Americans basic freedom rights that has been interpreted and made clear through the judicial system over many years. All Americans civil liberties are protected in the Bill Of Rights and under no uncertainty can those rights be revoke at any time. The United States Constitution is a crucial document that tells the people what the federal government can do. For this reason, the Bill of Rights, which are the first ten amendments signed into the Constitution on December 15, 1791 ( along with the Thirteenth and Fourteenth Amendments which became part of the guaranteed rights after the
The six most important rights from the United States Constitution and Universal Declaration of Human Rights are amendment one, amendment 4, amendment nine, article twenty-six, article fifteen, and article five. The first amendment is important because it gives us freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of press, freedom of assembly, and freedom
The Bill of Rights is important to me because without this document, our government would dissolve into a dictatorship. The Bill of Rights protected the rights of the people and limited the powers of the government. The Bill of Rights granted personal freedoms such as freedom of speech, right to bear arms, and a right to a speedy trial. Though our individual rights have been reduced, the Bill of Rights still stands the tests of time.
First of all, the First Amendment is an important amendment because it allows people to express themselves. America would be a very boring place if everybody limited their self-expression because of the fear of being arrested. For example, if one were to say that they hated the Christian religion, but that was the religion of the president, then the speaker could of been arrested, if this right was not existent. That would be nerveracking, to know that your opinion could land you in jail! It is just human nature to want to express how you feel, to let others know you believe is right. Imagine if one of the desires of human nature were unlawful! It is practically mandatory that freedom of speech be a right, as self-expression is something humans hold to be very
1 - The freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly and petition - Important because every one is titled to their own opinion and they are allowed to voice their opinion without being arrested, killed, etc.
The Bill of Rights, the first ten amendments to the Constitution, were important for a number of reasons. The first being that all the individual states had some form of a citizens’ rights declaration thus there was a general consensus that the new Constitution should contain one as well (Foner, 2014, p. 267). In fact, the Constitution was ratified by many states under the assumption that the Bill of Rights would soon emerge from the newly developed Congress (Van Cleave). The Bill of Rights are, essentially, a series of clarifications of the “unalienable rights” mentioned in the Declaration of Independence (Foner, 2014, p. 267). The Constitution erected the structure and inner workings of the government, whereas the Bill of Rights elucidated
The Bill of Rights is so important to protecting our basic rights because it has them in the Bill of Rights. Without the Bill of Rights, the country would be considered a monarchy because that people have no power and all the power is going to the government. The most important amendment to me is “Freedom of speech,religion.assembly”. This is really important to me because I have big religion based beliefs and if I'm told to follow a religion and I have no choice to follow it or not I would not like it. I want freedom of speech because I want to be able to explain my opinion to everyone and not be sent to jail for it. This affects my daily lie because I'm expressing my religion beliefs every day. I also am expressing my opinions about things
The right to freedom of speech is important to me because I can express my feelings and opinions. This is important because it is a basic human right - no one should have to worry about accidentally saying something that might get them in trouble. Freedom of speech is also important because it allows the people to give ideas, thus improving the government, economy, or nation as a whole. It also allows people to say when they feel that the government is being harsh or breaking its own laws. So, in conclusion, freedom of speech is crucial for a stable country and a happy people.
Freedom of speech is the ability to express your opinion about everything. We have the right to bear arms which is the right to own firearms to protect your home and family. We have the right to protest which allow us to complain about any of our problems. Lastly we have the right to pursue in any religion that you believe in. These rights are the most important to our nation because it shows that we have the freedom to do anything we want.
America has a wide variety of things to offer, ranging from the traditional foods to the breathtaking tourist attractions. However, the most significant of those is the Constitution that keeps the government flow running smoothly. On a more specific note, the Bill of Rights is also extremely important. These bills ensure all American citizens individual freedoms, such as religion and speech, and rights to keep and bear arms.
