To Kill A Mockingbird

In the story To Kill a Mockingbird, readers are always learning lesson on life that everyone should know.

Harper Lee uses courage to make her story exciting and intense. Also in this essay, Harper Lee’s story demonstrates real courage and what she thinks courage means, plus what she thinks someone with courage should act. Courage is when someone does something good that nobody else would ever think of doing. This is shown in To Kill a Mockingbird by Atticus Finch, Boo Radley, and Mrs. Dubose.

The first person who demonstrate courage is Atticus Finch. The first example of him having the courage to do something great that no one else would do was when he's guarding Tom at the jail. Then the lynching group came and he wouldn’t let them kill Tom”[Y]ou can turn around and go home, Walter”(202). This is a courageous act because he stepped up to save someone's life when nobody else would and risked his life for another man. Another courageous act Atticus did was being Tom’s lawyer”[D]o you defend niggers, Atticus?” I asked him that evening” “ [O]f course I do”(99). He didn’t have to be but instead, he tried to save a black person's life. Also, everyone called him a “nigger lover” that didn’t stop him from trying his hardest. This shows that Atticus is Courageous and what Harper Lee thinks some that are Courageous should act.
