Do you think that we should keep the Battle of 1812 in the books? I believe we should keep the War of 1812 in the books because of what we gained from the war. The issue that is happening is the publishers are debating if the War of 1812 is important enough to keep in the history books and present to the publishing board, to see if they will follow our opinion or not follow our opinion. My strongest reason to keep the War of 1812 in the books because of our flag still up at Fort McHenry the next day and Francis Scott Key made the National Anthem. In addition, we had some heroes and leaders, including Dolley Madison, Andrew Jackson, and Francis Scott Key. Americans were fighting Britain at Fort McHenry with all their pride, for example the Americans were fighting Britain because they had a reason and never gave up on fighting. During the battle the Americans had luck because Fort McHenry could have been destroyed if a the bomb went off where they had the gun powder and Francis Scott Key was inspired by the pride of victory and the flag was still hanging at Fort McHenry, so he wrote the National Anthem. In addition, we had some heroes that saved important history for future generations and we had important leaders that led us to victory. First an important lady named Dolley Madison stayed to save important documents and the George Washington’s Portrait for future generations. Then we had a victory after the war with Great Britain because we had a wonderful leader named Andrew Jackson. At last we had Francis Scott Key that wrote the National Anthem on September 14, 1814 after the War of 1812 and was passed on March 3, 1931, then became our National Anthem of the United
