When I started my quest I came over a village. But something was wrong it was under attack there was yelling and trolls capturing poor innocent people. ‘‘I have to do something’’ I said to myself. So I used a knife and cut a branch off a tree and I ran to the village. This is a sleeping potion use it on the witch. ‘‘Thank you’’ I replied to her. No thank you good luck children. Thanks good bye wise old
Have you ever really wanted one thing in life? I mean like you really wanted it. What would you have done to get this thing that you really wanted. This happens to many people throughout the story of the “Jake Reinvented”. All though there are many themes throughout this book, I think one of the very important or I guess main theme in this book is that some people will do anything to get what they want. They will even give up something that they really love or are good at. They will lose friends, get in trouble and even get sent to some other town to get what it is that they want.
Tom Sawyer can be seen as a leader when he was called up as a witness at the trial of Muff Potter. At first, Tom has some fear, but slowly as he talked, he seemed to have gained strength little by little, which came to the point where he had no fear into saying what had happened at the graveyard (near Horse William's grave to be exact). At the end, Tom did the right thing which shows great leadership. "Tom began — hesitatingly at first, but as he warmed to his subject his words flowed more and more easily... bated breath the audience hung upon his words, taking no note of time, rapt in the ghastly fascinations of the tale" (Twain, 171). This also shows an example of Tom's maturity (and leadership) when he realized that Muff Potter could be in danger, so his safety should be Tom's first priority and one way to help keep him protected (in some way) would be to stand up at the trial and say what he knows.
Although loved by many, Tom Sawyer is the most selfish character in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. This could be the opinion of many people if it wasn’t for adult characters such as the Duke, the Dauphin, and Pap Finn; Tom Sawyer is a young boy, therefore, his antics are seen as comical and there is less resentment towards his character. The character of Tom Sawyer is extremely egocentric and selfish because he displays blatant disregard for the practical way to make plans in life-or-death situations, doesn’t understand the gravity of murder and robbery, and he will do anything, no matter how crazy or impractical, to make himself seem like a hero.
Tom Sawyer is a complex character that represents the journey from childhood to adulthood that we all have experienced. The character development that Tom goes through during The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is long and sometimes inconsistent due to the episodic nature of the novel, but his character traits remain along with the overall message. Throughout the story, Tom Sawyer's main characteristics/traits become apparent within the first few chapters. Tom Sawyer is mischievous, envious, and adventurous.
The sun has risen and a young boy jumps out of bed with excitement, as he knows today he gets to go to his first professional baseball game. His father had bought him the tickets for his birthday months ago, and the boy had been counting down the days ever since. He put on his favorite ‘Cleveland Indians’ shirt, and ran downstairs to eat his yogurt and waffles for breakfast. As he ate, his mother saw him happily drawing Jacob’s Field, using his brown crayon to put the finishing touches on the base paths. The boy had a penchant attitude for baseball, as it was the first game his father ever taught him to play, and because of that, he would play whenever he could; with rocks and a stick, with his friends in the yard, and in his head when he
Sam was walking home from the Morrisville Market with a full bag of groceries. The sun was hot and no clouds were in sight. He smelled the fresh bread being baked in the shops. He felt like nothing could go wrong, and oh how wrong he was about that. The sidewalk was cracked right in front of Lana’s Diner glowed an odd red light. “What the……AHHHHHH!” When a garbage truck pulled up the garbage man found Sam lying face down on the sidewalk with a \
Although The Golden Compass mostly follows the stages of the Hero’s Journey pattern, there are also certain instances in which it deviates from that pattern. Additionally, some of the stages are repeated or occur in a different sequence. For example, the stage labeled ‘Crossing the Threshold’ appears to take place twice, each time marking a significant moment of progress for the Lyra, the protagonist. Similarly, it is not clear when the ‘Ultimate Boon’ stage occurs, as could be interpreted to happen in multiple places. The next stage, called ‘Return Threshold’ doesn’t even occur; instead of Lyra coming back to “the real world”, she adventures to a completely new world. So although much of the Hero’s Journey pattern can be found in The Golden Compass, there are many variations as to how well sections of the book match the different stages.
Tyler and Sally were in their neighborhood park when Markus Watson ran up to them say. “Sam Cronk and Jim Davis are dead, one was stabbed and the other we believe was forced or volunteered to drink a vial of poison. The weird part is that Sam Cronk had his fingerprints on both of the items used to kill them.”
Inside the sewers, we found the pandaman. Tyler started to kill him with a banana that he had found half rotten on the sewer floor, but the panda man took off his mask, revealing the hair and body tan that could only belong to a rad surfer dude who rides rad sewer waves. He introduced himself as Hurley, and explained that he was sent by, “Party Peeps inc.” (His part-time job) to dress like a panda to wish, “Andy boi” a very “Pandalicious” birthday, but while he was talking, he would randomly say things like “radical dude,” and “that’s gnarly!”
It had been ten years since I lived with my mother Janessa, my father Will, and my brother Marco. It had been ten years since the Jews and the Christians in my town would scold each other on every single imperfection that weighed themselves down. It had been ten years since I met the nicest Jewish boy named Jacob down by the watercress. And it had been ten years since I have told anyone this story.
African American men often do heavy jobs. For example, plant tobacco and other things. And their masters often use lots of dollars to buy them or transfer them with a huge price. And if the slaves have special skills, they often will worth more. Then a lot of tragic things happen, when their masters have debt which they can repay them. They will use slaves to repay. Even Kentucky men still do those things. Just like this book’s protagonist Tom’s master to repay the debt to sell Tom. However, the women have different situation, but it also decided by their masters. Good masters will treat them very well, if their master is terrible, they will dead by tired of working. To their masters, they thing African women’s duty just is doing some easy jobs and generation. And these mothers often will lose their children by their master’s actions.
Tom Sawyer grows a great deal throughout the book, but overall he is still a kid. This is portrayed many times in the book, through his mature and immature acts. Tom Sawyer is a kid at heart and eventually will grow into the adult we expect.
“Boys will be boys.” This famous saying is a theme scattered throughout the book Tom Sawyer. Like most young boys, if not all, Tom Sawyer and his gang of friends are always doing mischievous things that get them into trouble. No matter how much their mothers punish them for their actions, they never seem to learn. But are they really all that bad?
The show of two adventurous buddies experiencing different crazy adventures together such as fighting a demon, traveling to different kingdoms owned by princesses, and even going to outer space with unique creatures they had encountered. Both adventurers live inside an enormous tree together and these characters are Jake the dog and Finn the human. Jake and Finn grew up with each other ever since birth and although both are strong fighters, each of them has their own flaws. Jake is a talking dog that can morph his body to various shapes and forms, however despite this advantage, he doesn’t think logically and is usually the relaxed laid-back character. Finn is a human with determination and courage to fight and is usually the brains of the two, however, he doesn’t have any special abilities or powers that could give him an advantage in a fight.
Trapped in a stupefied fog, Tom struggled to focus his eyes. When a smooth object pressed against his lips, he jerked his head away, a soft moan rumbling in the back of his throat. Water dribbled down his chin, soaking his tee shirt, but a persistent hand continued to tip the fluid down his throat. “Drink, my beautiful boy,” a distant male voice coaxed. “Then you can sleep.”
