I’m able to organize and memorize things in an order that I can quickly and swiftly reach the tools and instruments as the surgeon asks for one during the operation. I will have to be focused and diligent during the operations in my ability to listen and follow directions. In this career, my compassion and good people skills will come in handy in helping others around me whether they are the patients, relatives of the patient, or my coworkers. Advantages to this career would be helping ill people get another chance at a longer life, working with some of the best surgeons in the state, getting to participate in procedures, and learning to better my career. MDs also have to go to school for four years, then medical school for four years and then lastly do a surgical residency for 3-7 years.

The career field I am interested in pursuing is the medical field. The field that I am most interested in pursuing specifically in the medical is a surgeon or physical therapist.

Growing up, I always loved science and math. I never had a specific area of interest until I took biology in high school. This caused my interest to grow, therefore, I sought out for more education. This is when I finally found the area of science that interested me the most, and that was human anatomy. I knew that I wanted to study this field of science for the rest of my life. I chose surgery because I can be face to face with the human body and can deeply study every part of it. This seemed like the most beneficial career for me.

Where do you think you will be doing in 10 years? In 10 years I at least want to be in medical school. I know it is a lot of school, but I will go through it to help people. If one day I could help someone through cancer or something it would make me feel amazing. I don't care about money or anything I care about the person's life. Some people don't end up with a job they love. I am willing to go through anything to be a surgeon. I am sure a lot of people are willing to go through anything to have the job they want. Being a surgeon is a lot of work and responsibility. The only way I won't become a surgeon is if I don't try and I will try until it happens.

Saving lives is what a Nero surgeon does sometimes and if I can save one life I would do that for a life time. Now lets get to what is not what I would want to do for a life time school I will have to go through 21-22 years of school to get me degree that is crazy!very crazy! So,I will work/operate on brains. On the down side I will have to stay still and that is kind of hard for me as some of you know.The salary is AMAZING I do not know if this is accurate an average salary of 589,500 a year that is good money.I want to work at north side hospital on the 8th floor.

In order to become a neurosurgeon one must, complete at least 4 years of an undergraduate school and 4 years of medical school separately. This means that once you finish  your college or university, you must apply to a medical school. Now depending on your specialty, you must take 3 to 7 years in internship and residency programs. The internship or residency program is to train you, so you could acquire some knowledge and skills that neurosurgeons typically have. These skilled health care professionals repair injuries, prevent and treat diseases, correct deformities, and improve human bodily functions . Surgeons also act to improve the aesthetic and physical appearance of the patient with surgery. They are required to carry out these services using advanced medical technology and/or surgical instruments.

The term trauma has been in existence for centuries and is recognized by the American Psychological Association (Health) and has been associated with an emotional response to a sudden, unexpected event which falls outside of their everyday experience (Parson Phd). The definition of trauma covers a wide spectrum, from powerful one-time incidents such as natural disasters, transportation accidents, fire related incidents, active shooter incidents, terrorism, rape, auto accidents, the breakup of a short or long term relationship, being diagnosed with a life-threatening, altering illness or disabling condition, the death of a loved one which is something that can be seen (Giller). On the side of chronic or repetitive experiences they include child abuse, multiple deployments in long term wars, domestic violence, drug & alcohol addiction, bullying. Each affects individuals differently on the psychosocial, psychological and physical levels but when the word trauma is mentioned in either the public setting or medical community, it is predominately associated with something that can be physically seen to be identified with.

Once you begin your general surgeon career you will start out with a small payment of two hundred thousand dollars a year (Surgeon).
