The career field I am interested in pursuing is the medical field. The field that I am most interested in pursuing specifically in the medical is a surgeon or physical therapist.
Some things that I know about the medical field are that there are many career paths that I can choose that involve medicine or diseases and even surgeries and injuries. The medical career field that I know the most about and have experienced the most of is physical therapy. Physical therapist help people with their injuries and provide exercises for people to help them heal faster and heal correctly, basically there job is to help patients take care of a torn muscle or any other kind of injury.
I am interested in this career field because I find how the body and its muscles and bones work very interesting. I have experienced many injuries myself and have gone through many hours of physical therapy, and i always found it very interesting to think about and see how the exercises and stretches that they would make me do were actually healing my body. As an athlete I hate injuries and having to sit out for my sport, so that is why I would want to be a physical therapist so I could help kids that were just like me heal quicker and get back to playing the game they love. Also I am very interested in the human body and learning about how

Also i would need technical skills. In the article “What Is Career Ready?” the author states, “ technical skills are required for licensure in many professions, such as in most health care fields”. This shows that i will need to attain these medical skills before I am on the job although many jobs have on-the-job training it is better to have the medical based skills in advanced on top of the years of schooling I will have to go
When you think about a teacher, you automatically think about someone who teaches kids for a living. Being a teacher doesn’t have to be just teaching children on a daily basis. Teachers are the reasons why a lot of children have grown to love learning and appreciate the effort their teacher has put into their education. Teachers are very important in today’s society and they do a lot for everyone. Teachers aren’t just there to make lesson plans, grade papers, and write on black-boards. Teachers are around because they want to give children a proper education.
The medical field is a career path that brings about many options and opportunities of great value. The noble idea of being a doctor tends to cloud the diligent studying and precise training that is actually required for this career. I have wanted to become a doctor since a very young age, and now that the opportunity is here for the taking, I have fully researched what it takes to succeed in this profession and various specialties of the practice. The road to a medical degree is one filled with thousands of notes, years of schooling, and many stressful nights, but the reward is one incomparable to any other. Saving people’s lives on a day-to-day basis has been one of my dreams for as long as I can remember, so the rigorous curriculum
To be a Cardiovascular Perfusionist you need at least a Bachelor’s Degree, 3 credit hours of Anatomy or Physiology, General Biology, General Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biochemistry or Microbiology, one credit hour or more of Medical Terminology, and a cumulative and science GPA of at least a 3.0. Neurology automatically requires a lot of schooling, medical doctorate, Bachelor’s Degree, completion of a medical school program, internship, and a residency, and passing of the Medical Licensing Exam. Real estate agents must be at least 18 years of age, a legal us resident, high school diploma and have passed the real estate license exam. With all these careers education is important but common sense is required as well because the clients are dependent upon their chosen specialist to get them through related situations safely and
Physical therapy to me hits deeply because I had to go to therapy twice for a number of months. The atmosphere and attitudes of the people who helped me were so determined to make sure that I got better and back to my full potential if possible. That is one thing that makes me want to be a physical therapy. I want to be able to help people through a dark time of injury and help motivate them and guide them through their situation. Also, I want to be able to make a great impact on someone’s life in wellness. Athletic training is a desire on my
There are hundreds of career paths and options, which can be overwhelming and exciting. I have looked into many possibilities and wanted to talk to a speech pathologist about their career and responsibilities. Speech pathologists, also known as speech-language pathologists or speech therapists, help individuals with a multitude of disorders, associated with swallowing, speech, and language. They can work in schools, hospitals, specialty clinics, or through private practice. I chose to interview Sherri Anderson, a speech pathologist for Rock Creek Elementary School in the Beaverton School District in Oregon. Ms. Anderson originally got a degree in English, and worked for a bookstore for a decade before going back to school to become a speech
There are many careers in the health sciences field that are very intriguing, while there are some that do not seem appealing at all. Three of these careers are physician assistant, radiologist, and surgeon. Three careers that do not appeal to my likings are dentists, health educators, and home health aide. There are also three more careers that I found on my own that have some interests with me: Radiological health physics,
Surgeons treat any injuries, diseases and deformities through operations. A large number of surgeons usually choose to perform general surgery, a lot of surgeons choose to specialize in a specific area. Surgeons examine patients, perform and interpret diagnostic tests and counsel patients on preventative healthcare. Some examples of the specialties that surgeons do are orthopedic surgery which is the treatment of the musculoskeletal system. Neurological surgery which is the treatment of the brain and nervous system. Reconstructive surgery which is to perform or treat structures of the body affected by defects, abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors or disease. The last one I’m going to name is cardiovascular surgery which is the treatment of the heart and the profession I want to pursue.
With most medical language career fields, it involves the ability to read and listen, thinking and analyzing, spelling properly and being able to pronounce medical terms properly. Along with the basic understanding of the medical language, you must also have compassion for others, dependability, and flexibility in the work place.
As a young student, people tend not to plan out what they’ll do in the future. As a middle schooler, they think, “What does it matter? It’s all so far off.” Then they get into high school and the pressure is heightened. As a freshman, people are telling us, “Start planning now!” I remember hearing it from all of my teachers, but I never quite started doing so. Instead, I would just let it sit in the back of my mind. “What are my goals?”, I would think to myself. Then one day at the end of sophomore year, on the edge-of-the-edge of leaving high school, I realized the time is now. It’s time to start planning.
First of all, one of the main reasons is because of how rewarding of a job it is, externally and internally, for both the patients and the therapists. Secondly, I truly enjoy the amount of social interaction that is done between the patients and therapists as a comfortable relationship is developed throughout the weeks of recovery. Lastly, physical therapy is a growing field because it is a job on the rise. I know that in the future, physical therapy will always be needed in our society because people are constantly getting injured. Physical therapy will be there to physically and mentally assist those that need help to return back into a functional
I´ve always thought that I may have a future in medicine, however, it wasn't until recently that I discovered the opportunity to explore my interests further. As a younger kid I dreamt of becoming an equine veterinarian, and while that still has some pull, I've now become more passionate about directly helping people. The Beaverton Health Careers program seems like the right track for me because I will be able to learn more about the side of medicine I already love and new paths as well. Similarly, by pursuing this in high school, it allows me to determine if I really enjoy health careers before deciding on my future college and degree.
Introduction- For my research paper I hope to see some amazing opportunities for me that way I can start looking at the perfect college for me to go to and maybe start saving up for it. I hope to accomplish these goals in life so that way I could be successful in life and hopefully be a big influence on some people.

Medical field is one of the biggest fields. When I mention the word medical, the first thing come up to your mind are doctors or nurses. Some people that never work in a medical office, they don't know there are much more position in medical file you could work at, like medical assistant, technician medical coder or biller. Someone like me, don't like to deal with patient. Medical biller and coder is a good opportunity for me to work at. But what are medical biller and coder?
Overall, those are the only two that caught my attention, and those are the ones I would narrow from the list of "Fastest Growing Occupations", for it reaches my expectations. In the future, I would definitely try to pursue either one of them since now a days the most jobs available are associated with the medical
