“TRAVEL, in the younger sort, is a part of education, in the elder, a part of experience.” (Francis Bacon). People travel for different reasons; they travel for fun, adventure, learning, worshipping, etc. People from different age groups have different motive behind traveling. Children travel to have fun or learn something new. Whereas adults travel to experience different things. Either ways everyone gets to learn something or the other, but the difference is in childhood we look at things from a different perspective we find something to learn from it, but when we are adults we start marking things and

There are several places to travel to, it depends on the traveler where he wishes to go and what is his main objective. The general classification of places is by hill-stations, beaches, desert, busy cities, etc. Each of these places has their own charm and beauty. Not to forget these places also have a certain time period to be visited in for the best experience. But that is applicable only when u have to visit the place for a holiday time and not for a business trip. Travelling to take a gap from our busy schedule is very good for health. It relaxes our mind and makes it all fresh for the work. It is advisable to take a trip between busy schedules to calm our mind. Besides, if a person is stationary for a longer period of time, he becomes monotonous. Travelling to various places broadens our mindset and refreshes our brain. A visit to a place imparts practical knowledge of important places, persons, things and the nature of people. (http://www.preservearticles.com/201104265980/essay-on-travelling.html) Travelling educates a man to a very good extent. As a traveler moves from places to places he has idea of different places, religions, caste, etc. Thus he can easily educate people about it. Rather we can say he can be a good tutor if he travels frequently to different places. Being in different cities for days makes them aware of the happenings of that particular city which improves their general knowledge as well. They also get to learn a bit of
I love traveling, and not just because it’s fun, but because it exposes you to another lifestyle outside of the norm. According to nbc news, “ Traveling is very good for your health”. Communication skill would improve while traveling because you are less on your phone so you are more social towards others. Traveling can also inspire different ideas based on what was seen. Traveling can also help you get to know yourself because you are away from the hassle of everyday tasks, and you get to learn new things. Traveling on this trip will give me more knowledge as well.
It is a common idea that traveling gives people a greater insight on the dynamics of the world as they experience different cultures and ways of life. This can be seen in the short story Wedding at the Cross by Ngugi wa Thiong’o where traveling greatly influences the main character Wariuki’s outlook of the world. Wariuki starts off as being a very poor but very happy man until he gets humiliated by his father in law, Douglas Jones, for not being wealthy enough to pay for a wedding at a church or provide for his wife. This ignites a fire in Wariuki to prove his Douglas Jones wrong and he goes to great lengths to accumulate enough wealth to become higher class and not be looked down upon. The great lengths that Wariuki goes through to try and
“Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves.” Henry David Thoreau stood behind the fact that all change is a miracle that happens in every instant. World travel has the potential to introduce an individual to the various miracles that life has to offer through aspects like culture, scenery, and language. In fact, there is a psychological concept that goes by the name of the “Big Five.” The number five refers to the five most dominant characteristics of personality: openness, extraversion, neuroticism, conscientiousness and agreeableness. Meeting new people and exposing oneself with new culture is one of is an activity that is one of the main contributors to the openness factor of personality which in turn has a domino effect on the remaining four characteristics (“5 Ways…”). That being said, by travelling the world an individual is able to become more adventurous and well rounded.
Travelling provides a way for creating relationships and experiencing new cultures, while escaping the hardships of daily life.
Additionally, students can travel around the world to learn about new cultures. By traveling, students can pick up new skills and
“Oh the places you’ll go” by Dr.Seuss was my favorite book ever since i was young. Hearing the title brought my mind to countries, cities and oceans waiting to be explored .As I got older I learned that there was much more than just sites to be seen. I learned that there was human geography, international relations, comparative government and politics, and international law and much more involved into becoming apart of the world .I’ve gotten opportunities to travel to Portugal,Spain and Puerto Rico. Usually when people my age travel they want to be the beach and go to waterparks when I travel i like to learn the government, geography and their politics. I’m very interested in the world around me. In intermediate school and elementary school
In Jeff Goins article 3 reasons to travel while you’re young he talks about why you should travel when you’re young instead of when you’re older and don’t have time for it. The first thing he talked about is traveling teaches you to live an adventurist life. The second thing he talked about is traveling helps you encounter compassion. The last thing Goins talked about is traveling allows you to gain some culture. All of his statements are true in his article and people should travel when they’re young.
Traveling makes you push your self to be more active, walk around, take a hike to see an incredible view and essentially make your muscles work twice as hard.
Opportunity to travel abroad: traveling to another country enables you to get a complete picture of the culture, it also helps to enhance your interpersonal skills as well as your communication skills and it enables you to appreciate new customs. (San Diego State University, n.d.)
Traveling, in general, makes people healthier. Occasional travelers report lower stress levels and lower risks of heart attacks. These benefits even stay awhile after the trip has ended. According to Larry Alton, “traveling has been scientifically proven to lower stress levels.” (NBC News) This is because traveling is like taking a break from one’s hectic life. One gets to think about themselves and relax. People feel less anxious and tend to forget about problems that usually bother them. In a way, they disconnect from their busy lives.
Favorite pass time and a way of life for its citizen. When the quality of life is
As curiosity to see new things grow the number of people traveling grows. According to an article on statista, between 2005 and 2015 international tourist arrivals increased by 662 million. Some people travel the world to experience new cultures,
Where you go can influence how your trip will be. If you go to an amusement park, such as Disneyland, you should expect to have some enhancement of stress due to lines, prices, or poor weather. However, if you are one of the individuals that get all sun and no lines, then you might enjoy yourselves. If you are traveling to a relative’s house or town, you may feel more relaxed if you like said relatives. However, if you have too many relatives or don’t like said relatives, you may become even more stressed than before you left. If you travel to another state or outside the country you are more likely to be relaxed if you go to your native language speaking country or region. My family has traveled outside of our home multiple times before, and we have even lived in a whole other continent, with different cultures and scenes, in Singapore. From Singapore, you have a wider range of places to go for cheaper than in the United States. My favorite places to travel have been New Zealand and the Philippines so far. When my family travels for fun, most of the time we end up enjoying ourselves if it’s planned well. The major problem with traveling outside of the country, and even states, is the time difference. Jetlag, or time difference, is when your body is accustomed to your home’s time zone and when you travel and there is a time difference your body does not adjust for what experts say one day for every hour difference. Compared to Texas the Philippines has a fourteen hour time difference, and New Zealand has a nineteen hour time difference. Jetlag can also affect your overall enjoyment of a family vacation because you have to be awake and not irritable in order to have fun. On the other hand, vacationing is not about where you go, but who you go with.
Travelling is important as it can remove the unintended prejudice that individuals carry out rashly. Sometimes, people unconsciously treat others differently solely based on their own beliefs. Since their judgement is based only on opinion, therefore it may be inaccurate to use when addressing the persons around them. However, exploring the world may lessen your tendency to be prejudice as you will gain detailed insights to the way others think, the way others see, and the way others live. Thus, this will allow you to not make foolhardy assumptions when being in contact with a society or community as you will be more knowledgeable to understand why they are the way they are. Removing prejudice from our lifestyle is very important to us as open-thinkers as we often make many mistakes in the treatment of other human beings. Prejudice is an undesirable trait to possess because
Travelling is an important part of one’s life. The purpose is not only leisure, but also to be a part of learning process through new information, about the places and culture, and our observations. This is what my dad says all the time and thank God I got a father like him, otherwise I have seen dads who do not give travelling much thought, and think it as a waste of time and money as they don’t usually want to acknowledge the fact that they don’t have time for their families and recreation.
