I remember when my grandma and I went outside to play when I was about 4 years old. The sky was the most beautiful shade of blue you had ever laid your eyes on, like a crystal clear majestic ocean in the most exotic and breathtaking countries imaginable. We started with just a simple game of catch, however, throwing a blue and yellow Winnie the Pooh ball back and forth can get pretty old really fast. So we stopped playing catch and I skipped my way over, like most 4 year old girls did, to the slide. Now I had been down this slide no problem about a million times and so to think that something would go wrong this time, was just plain inconceivable to my four year old mind. How wrong I was. I started my descent up the red, thin, and metal ladder,
The film The Sea Inside shares the heart warming real life story of a man named Ramon Sampedro. My dad told us we could, but to make sure not to get lost. We said ok and went over to Six Flags Park. Asia was trying to force me to get on this big, gigantic roller coaster called The Batman. I told her she must be out of her mind. She said I was if I did not get on. Reluctantly, I said ok, but told her she was going to be the one paying for my funeral if I don’t make it! She told me to stop doubting myself and grow up already. When I finally got on to the ride I was like, “Oh heck no! Let me off!” The ride man told me I would be fine as he locked the bar into place. As the ride started and we began clicking up that first huge hill, I was like “Oh my God I’m really goanna die!” Then, I was like, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”, and, “AHHHHHH!” Then it was over I was like, “That was so awesome! We got to go again!” Asia said I told you so as we got back in line again. We went on to ride it a total of 7 times. After the 7th time we finally decided to do something different. We wanted to do the Mr. Freeze coaster, but there was a 60 min. wait. That was when we looked over and saw the Scooby Doo ride only had a 15 min. wait so we decided to ride it instead. The ride was a lot more fun than we thought it would be. We were all in these 4 passenger “Mystery Machines” that had lazertag guns and score counters. Asia and I competed to see who could get the highest score. Six Flags had a lot of other cool
My dad and I had to move to lower ground, because it was too windy to fly our $15 kite from Walmart. In order to do so we had to walk down a hill, which most people are capable of. I, on the other hand, am not most people. I was walking down this hill, and it had rained the day before so it was a little muddy. Nothing too bad, or so I thought. I was holding the cheap kite when my dad started talking to me from the bottom of the hill. I couldn’t quite make out what he was trying to tell me, so I started to walk down the hill faster. My knees buckled a little and I had to dig my heels into the ground to not fall. Wow, close one Lucy, I thought.
Ever since Sea World opened it’s gates in 1959 it has been mistreating aquatic sea life and endangering employees. In the next few months there should be a petition emailed to everyone who is subscribed to any wildlife protection groups encouraging everyone to voice their concern. As of today there are a large number of citizens of the United States and several other countries spreading the word of the awful conduct of Sea World and their mistreatment of endangered wildlife.
At the age of 5 my mother, my father and I took a walk over the bridge in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. While never been able settle down as a child, my mother took it upon herself to carry me across so that I don’t fall down thirty feet to a watery death. As we enjoy the smell of the air and the wind blowing coolly against us, we decided to take a photo. Father went across from us with the camera and my mother and I stood on the other side, our backs facing the edge of the bridge and the river leading to the ocean. It wasn’t until I heard a scream and saw a flash that I realized I was falling for what felt like 10 seconds. After fifteen hours in a coma, I awoke to find my family happy as can be, even though I had no memory of any of them. It was from that point that I wondered how I would have been a different person had I retained all my previous feelings and thoughts.
The tide monster is the slickest one you will find. Once, there was a boy named Joe he had a lot of friends that played on the river. They used to take their boats on the river and fish. The tide monster brought the fish in and out each day. If you were good to the tide monster he brought you fish, if you were bad there were no fish to be caught. Joe was different from his friends he did not drink or do drugs like his other friends. One evening Joe and his friends took separate boats out on the river. Joe went his way and the other boys went the other way. Joe went to his special canal where the tide monster always brings him fish. The other boys were busy throwing trash and beer cans out the boat. Needless
Nature, by far the most powerful force on this earth is used in many poems in a form of Romanticism. Careless, and powerful Nature will do whatever it pleases it can destroy cities in the form of hurricanes, earthquakes, or tornados. Nature is also able to do something as harmless as watering your crops with rain, or knocking over a sign with wind. In the two poems, “From Snowbound” written by John Greenleaf Whittier, and “The Tide Rises, the Tide Falls” written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow nature the careless, yet powerful force is the primary source of Romanticism.
Once, a long time ago, Loren Irvin a teenage boy, lived with his tribe, the Khourdot, in the dead cold of the ice caps near Antarctica. At the time there were no tides, but this was causing a rapid melting of the ice caps which were home to many animals. These were not only the homes to the animals though, these animals were the Khourdots source of food, but no animals were coming on the ice caps due to their home being washed away.
After going on a little longer we went to a river that was between two waterfalls. The water was so clear that you could see every pebble at the bottom. My dad didn’t want to swim, so he stayed on land and watched us have fun. There were some kids down the river that were trying to swim up the updraft. My mom said they were being stupid because they might be pushed down the river
Sometimes I sit here waiting for the tide to bring you home again. The warm breezes caressing my face, the water methodically pulling itself back after kissing the shore. I watch the people passing in their boats, living their own lives, so unaware of the tragedy that surrounds this gaping hole in the universe. I wonder if they’ve ever lost a piece of themselves. I wonder how it’s possible for us to all have our stories to tell, all eight billion of us. I sit here thinking about your story, ours. I reflect on the fragmented sentences and laugh at the occasional necessary parenthetical explanation. I sigh when I get to the ending, nothing there anymore but a cavernous period where there could have been a semicolon.
I was a very energetic two year old who was ready to play after a long nap. My family had just gotten back from a trip to Columbus, Ohio. The trip couldn’t have felt longer. When I awoke I recall not being able to remember the trip at all. Almost as a drunk who had woken up after a long night of partying. I immediately got out of bed and headed for the living room where my mother was sleeping and my father was working. With both of them being busy, I decided that the best plan was to find my

It was the winter of 2009. All my friends at school were talking about how they went down the biggest hill over the weekend. So, I got curious and started to ask questions. I asked, what did it feel like? My friend replied, "It felt like I was on top of the world for a few seconds." I asked another question. What did it feel like when you were at the bottom? He replied, "I felt like I wanted to do it again". I asked I thought about that conversation all day. I knew I would stop at nothing until I went.

These processes work together for the Moon to exist and to be an essential element of Earth.
The time came on one faithful day during the summer when my sister convinces me to go ride my first roller coaster The Batman. It of course was a terrifying and exciting experience, and right when we got to in line my heart began to race, and the only thing that was keeping me in line was my sister reassuring me that it was fun and that I wouldn’t die. So as the line would move even a little bit I would have mini heart attacks and have to calm myself. This would go on for a while until we got to the dark staircase with only a red and white flashing lights to guide us. This made it a little worse because I’m so clumsy and now that I couldn’t see very well a new fear had appeared and now I was worrying about tripping
