Pyramids originated from the Egyptians. They expressed a worldwide view of the Egyptians. First of all, they were symbols of the pharaoh's authority and divine status. It reflects hierarchical status. In the Egyptian society there were slaves, the commoners, the pharaohs. If you were to put them in order the top of the pyramid would the pharaohs below them the commoners, then slaves and so forth. The most important one would be on the top which is the pharaohs. Of the three theories on how the Great Pyramid was built, in descending order of acceptability, the most suitable theory is Clifford Wilson’s followed by Joseph Davidovits’ and Erich Von Däniken’s argument. Clifford Wilson’s theory is the best because he illustrates how the pyramids were built and provides the evidence to prove his theory, however; this is unlike Joseph Davidovits’ theory because Davidovits does not fully answer questions that arise concerning his theory. Why were the pyramids so important to the history of Egypt? Pyramids housed dead, important pharaohs and is now a main source of income through tourism. Pyramids were representations of Ancient Egyptian religion, and also benefit many people by learning more about it.

There are many similarities (and differences) between Ancient Egyptian Pyramids, Mesopotamian ziggurats, and the pyramids of Pre-Columbian South America. All of them had major significance for their peoples cultures and religious beliefs, as well as having historic significance today. In the following paragraph I will prove that slaves were involved in the construction of the pyramids by using evidence from three different docements. The Egyptian pyramids have been the subject of many outlandish claims and construction theories for centuries. Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in Giza Necropolis. It is believed that the pyramid was built over a 20 year period for the pharaoh Khufu. Ti was the world tallest man-made structure for over 3,800 years. There are three known chambers in the pyramid. A subterranean chamber, which is at the base, higher up is the queen’s chamber and lastly you have the king’s chamber which is highest. The pyramid was at the time very important because it represented the greatness of that pharaoh (Khufu). It also belongs to the Giza Necropolis site, which shows even more how powerful Khufu was. It is very important today because it is the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Throughout the thousands of years that the Great Pyramid has been standing, there have been many myths and legends that sprung up. Among them was a landing site for alien spacecraft, a spacecraft itself, or the means to predict the future. This report is going to explain the actual reason the Great Pyramid of Giza exists, how and why it has existed for so long, and the story of its construction.
