Vaccines Stubborn parents put their children and other children at risk of catching diseases. Parents think that if their children’s classmates are not vaccinated it puts their children in danger, however, that was the main reason their children were vaccinated in the first place. Either way parents should have the right to decide whether to get their children vaccinated. Although, the vaccinations are supposed to protect children from certain diseases, it can actually be a danger itself. The possibility that vaccinations can “pose serious risks” is a problem for many parents (Miller para.2). The risks associated with receiving vaccines can result to in type one diabetes, arthritis, or paralysis, as well as a serious blood disorder, brain inflammation, or death. The facts speak for themselves when it comes to parents deciding whether they would like their child to receive a vaccine.
Furthermore, making vaccinations mandatory is ridiculous considering the facts that are “documented in numerous studies” (Miller para.2). When parents feel they are putting their children’s lives in danger, they should make the decision that results in their child being unvaccinated. Vaccinations should be optional especially when the parent of the child feels uncomfortable with the idea. Also the parents know their lives and their children’s lives way better than the government, and they need that right to decide whether or not their child should get vaccinated.
However, my parents
In the United States, the law states that vaccinations are required for children entering school unless they have a valid reason that prevents them from receiving the vaccinations. Starting when children are born, they begin the regimen of vaccinations that continue throughout their adolescent years and adulthood. Each year children receive a variation of shots to protect them from the illnesses they will encounter in the world, especially once they attend school. The most common reasons parents forego getting their children vaccinated are religious beliefs, medical exemptions, and personal beliefs. Due to the rising number of parents declining to get their children vaccinated, the number of outbreaks of preventable diseases has increased. The question is now should parents/guardians be forced to vaccinate their children?
Over the past year, vaccinations have sparked controversy all over America. Some parents are choosing not to vaccinate their children. I believe that all members of the community should be properly vaccinated to avoid the spread of disease, to prevent introducing eradicated diseases to other countries, and to prevent premature death.
Vaccinations should not be mandatory because there are numerous health benefits to not being vaccinated, there are benefits of being sick, and having the choice to be vaccinated should be a right.
We all have a right to freedom, but there have been many arguments that compulsory vaccinations may be considered a violation of civil liberty. With this being said, we allow the government and public school systems to force vaccinations on our society. Society as whole losses their rights in the debate regarding child immunizations. In all fifty (50) states, it is a requirement for
Vaccinating a child has been an on going debate for a long time. Some people will say that it should be mandatory for children to be vaccinated to help protect them and other people around them. While on the other hand you have parents that strongly believe that they should have the choice to either vaccinate their child or not. We will take a look at both sides point of view and their reasoning behind their choices.
Many medical professionals and scientists consider vaccination one of the greatest medical achievements in modern civilization. Research shows that vaccination is the best way to protect your child from disease. So, why are some parents opting out of vaccines? Common reasons parents have for not vaccinating their children include concerns about the ingredients in vaccines, fear of dangerous side effects, and beliefs that natural immunity is the best immunity. Other common arguments include mistrust towards pharmaceutical companies and claims that vaccination is a personal decision. Whether you advocate for or against vaccination, everybody is striving for the same goal: to ensure the health of our children and loved ones.
I agree with your its should be a parent choice to either vaccinated or not they kids . As i mention on my post me personally i didn't wants to vaccinate my kid since its a requirement another for the kid to attend school . I didn't have the choice . I know its very risky when you don't get vaccinated for some disease but we also have to see the side effect , For example i was watching the news one time i don't remember when or what channel about a athletic lady who got the flu shot she can't walking straight another for her to walking straight it have to be backward.
Vaccination. Should parents be able to choose whether to vaccinate their children for any reason? Why is there a debate to this routine practice? Is the real debate making it mandatory? Or is it whether vaccination benefits outweigh the underlying concerns? Are there real concerns to each side? Are we taking the right away from the parent in making this mandatory? Is this an inevitable wave in history of extremist that oppose or fight against modern medicine? Is there real panic of mass transmission of easily preventable diseases if not vaccinated? Are we seeing the cautious conspiracy theorist against vaccinations because of malicious intent by the government involvement? Are there side effects from the vaccinations that cause real concern?
The immunization of children plays a critical role in the health and protection of society as a whole. By implementing the use of vaccines, we as a society have eradicated diseases that one hundred years ago, decimated populations. Many people are allowed to choose and are exempt from state vaccinations, and this is a problem because people are allowed to bring in many different diseases that could decimate populations. In order to prevent these diseases from haunting our population again, laws must be implemented in order to prevent the spread of diseases.
Should parents vaccinate their children? Parents should vaccinate their children because it can keep them and other children healthy..“Worldwide, 242,000 children a year die from measles, but it used to be near one million. The deaths have dropped because of vaccination, a 68 percent decrease from 2000 to 2006”. (NewYorkTimes.com) “Children who are not vaccinated are unnecessarily susceptible to serious illnesses, they say, but also present a danger to children who have had their shots”. Written by Jennifer Steinhauer in 2008. Parents should vaccinate their children because vaccines can save many lives.
Mandatory vaccinations in public school in my opinion play a major role in children lives. They are safe and effective, they protect others we care about, and will protect our future generations. Throughout the years there have been thousands and thousands of children lives lost due to outbreaks of diseases such as polio and the measles causing many deaths among young children. Vaccinations that have become effective over the years limiting these diseases if not getting rid of them period are the most effective way of to get rid of these diseases. However, there are still some parents that refuse to have their child/children vaccinated due to their own beliefs. In this passage you will find out how these mandatory vaccinations are more safe, effective, and healthy for our children in public schools than in the ones who parents refuse to have them vaccinated. Research is everything and has become more and more helpful when making decisions such as these showing more ways of how these vaccinations are safe for all our children.
Parents there are a lot of different opinions to rather or now vaccinate their children. Parents also do a lot of research regarding the vaccines. Being that vaccine is a preventative agent that helps protect from disease like smallpox, hepatitis, and TB test is weakened antibodies trying to make a defense of immunity to the disease that you may come in contact with. There are also many other immunization that parents need to research about that are also important for a child to receive to help with preventative health care. Some parents chose to delay or just not vaccinate their child completely due to there are concerned about allergic reactions, side effects of the vaccine long term for their child, personal reason, and religious belief. Parents have fear regarding vaccines and what they will do to their children. But vaccines are a very important aspect of life. The fear come from on being educated on the vaccines a lot of parents fear the vaccines more than the children fear being poke with a needle.
Immunizations play a very vital role in every parent’s life. When a child is born, their parents have to make a choice whether or not they want to get their kids vaccinated or not. It can be a real struggle in today’s society to make this decision. Some people may think how is that a hard decision to make? If you can prevent your child from getting a disease that could possibly kill them. Why would you even hesitate thinking about it? The reason why parents hesitate when deciding whether or not to get their child vaccinated is because of the belief in society that, vaccinations can give your child ASD (autistic spectrum disorder) and possibly other things as well. Over the past decade, parents getting their children vaccinated has been slowing declining. As the number of parents vaccinating their kids is declining, the amount of outbreaks in the United States has been increasing. The United States is starting to see diseases that where practically wiped out in America ten years ago, starting to make a comeback. An example of one of these diseases would be the Measles. In this paper, I will examine the reasoning’s on why parents don’t want to vaccinate their children. I will also talk about diseases that are making a comeback in the United States. I will also present my personal opinion on the subject matter, what I personally think and believe about immunizations. And whether or not vaccinations for kids attending public schools should all be required or not.
In order for a child to start pre-k and/or kindergarten at a normal public school in the United States, children are required by law to receive a specific list of documented vaccinations before they are allowed to start the long journey of their school careers. I feel as though this should not be mandated but rather a choice of the parent. The amount of immunizations that are currently required by law are continuously growing. However, the last time I checked, there were no cases of polio or small pox in any neighborhood I have ever been to. Also, the last time I checked, my child is my own and not property of my state. This ever-growing problem should be a choice of my own and not something my child necessarily has to go through before dealing with the stresses of school. According to the CDC, twelve different vaccinations are required for our children. While some of these vaccines are still prevalent on diseases our children may encounter, not all are still prominent in our society. Some vaccines even do more damage than helping our child. Today’s society has changed in many ways than that of previous generations, and I do not mean by the leaps and bounds of advancement in technology and medicine, but by the all mighty dollar. Society needs to realize that we have rights, and those rights should include how we as parents see fit to raise our children, not how someone else tells you to raise them! I am not saying that vaccinations are all irrelevant and horrible
We all remember as kids going to the doctor’s office and dreading getting shots. I remember thinking that if I take this shot I won’t get really sick and that was that. Now in this decade parents and families are coming forward and sharing their complaints of the vaccines that are supposed to be helping their kids’ but instead are hurting them. Parents are saying that they have decided to not give their children vaccines and that is now raising the question should parents be legally obligated to have their child vaccinated? If the parents aren’t willing to get their child vaccinated, they are putting other lives in danger. Health officials and the government should get involved in this ongoing issue. A solution to this problem is to have a law stating that parents should always have their children vaccinated unless medically unable to do so.
