From the beginning of time, the man has been a believing and fearful being of all the creatures that dwell in the dark. These creatures like beggars, witches and zombies, always frightened the poor villagers who could only defend themselves with torches and stick, unfortunately for the man these were not the only creatures that habited in the dark. In all the history of the demons of the old one, they talked about the differences that not only these had with the humans, but also that the vampires and werewolves could not coexist together since they considered themselves enemies by nature. Being both natural enemies, which of them was the most fearsome and destructive. …show more content…
Vampires, or also called masters of darkness, are beings created from the same blood of Lucifer, beings that live from the blood itself and exist only to destroy life and everything that exists. These beings have a superhuman force, which far surpasses that of a human. Although these monsters can fly, they have strength over human and can be transformed; Are very susceptible to the light of the sun, since these are burned with only to the time, also they are super susceptible to the garlic and everything that has to do with the
The truly shocking and terrible, blood-sucking-monster we once knew have now changed into beautiful, perfect, and healthy human beings. This paper will discuss the change and the reason why the change of idea many still accept and like the modern picture of vampires. In order to answer this, I will examine the differences between Bram Stoker's Dracula , the typical figure of horror before, and the soft light just before sunrise or after sunset's Edward Cullen, the obvious example of the 21st century vampire. From this, I will be able to decide out what changed in the features of the vampires we know today. Many would think about Edward Cullen as a "shockingly disrespectful behavior of the vampire old example" (Mole).
They shun the light and crave the taste of blood. The mere thought of them could make a grown man tremble. But what if a vampire wasn’t just a horrific creature of the night? What if they were completely human, enabling them to hide in plain sight? Wouldn’t that make them more dangerous? Due to popular Gothic literature, vampires are commonly romanticized to be pale bloodsuckers that hide in the dark, waiting for their next meal. This version of a vampire makes them easy to spot in literature, but is also very limiting in that it only lends itself to that specific genre. However, a different version, laid out by Thomas Foster, shows how anyone, whether they be fictional or nonfictional, can be considered a vampire through analysis of

There are two creatures or “monsters” that are known to lurk in the shadows; Vampires and werewolves. Over centuries there has been a huge debate as to which one is superior. Vampires and werewolves have always fought each other from the beginning as born enemies. Some say the werewolves are superior because they are stronger and others say the vampires are superior because they are smarter. It comes down to brawn versus brains. For me the answer is obvious; at the end of it all it is the vampires who rule over everything that goes bump in the night.
Monsters exist in different styles and forms, but the most terrifying are the zombie (Haitian folklore) and the vampire (European folklore). The vampire is more lethal than the zombie, due to their physical features, monster intelligence, and their relation to humanity.
What are vampires? Well there are many myths out in the whole world of vampires. Vampires are creatures that are dead yet still walk among the living; all vampires have fangs, they are afraid of the sunlight, they can shape-shift and they drink the blood of their victims. People say vampires are human corpses that return from the grave to harm living and others say they are not humans at all that vampires are supernatural, demonic creatures and not human form. What is evil? Evil is what is morally wrong, sinful, or wicked. Vampires can be categorized as evil as said in the article “What’s Evil, Anyway?” by Cole Bowman. Vampires
The generalization for vampires has been displayed in films and literature for hundreds of years. The stereotypical versions of vampires are that they have long fangs, sleep in coffins during the day, and suck the blood out of humans. Both novels contradict those stereotypes in different ways. To understand the diversity of the vampires described in both novels, one must examine the characteristics that the vampires display and the meaning and purpose behind them. David D. Gilmore’s book “Monsters” analyzes monsters and other mythical creatures. Gilmore describes why humanity invented the idea of
To encounter a wolf is a frightening experience in itself. With a snarling appearance and bared teeth, a person could instantaneously become overwhelmed with sheer terror. The thought of coming in contact with such a threatening creature is certainly not an incident people want to envision. However, the thought of facing a werewolf, is even more horrifying. Visualizing a half man, half beast-like creature creeping through the night and howling at the moon is a rather disturbing thought, that many people believe to be insane. Although the idea of werewolves existing throughout history may seem implausible to most people, historical accounts, archeological findings, and scientific information may prove they are more than just a myth.
Society’s fascination with fictional monsters is a topic most love to talk about. You know what really grinds people’s gears. The basis of the monster and its true portrayal and the excitement of being scared of the monsters. Vampires on the other-hand have changed the portrayal, even the argument of what is scary and what is not. Vampires used to be scary and unattractive, but now in modern times vampires are highly sexual, desirable, and even admirable.
There are things that take the spotlight throughout time in pop culture. Commonly zombies and vampires are the talk of everyone. Vampires have been a thing for centuries, although the term vampire came after. There were even humans that believe they had become one. The distorted history of vampires has changed people’s minds because there are certain things people think of, but not what vampires were defined as in different cultures.

Their pale complexion allows them to easily burn up when exposed to sunlight. Werewolves on the other hand may travel during the day because they remain normal until the full moon. A vampire’s diet consists of human and animal blood. Their cunning charms and speed are perfectly designed for them to hunt their “necks” victim. Vampires have access to flight and sharp nails and teeth. They are solitary creatures that use strategy to catch their prey much like a cat. They can chose whither or not they want to make their prey a vampire by biting into a person and only drinking enough blood for them to be nearly dead. Vampires also have the ability to shape shift into bats or other animals and sometimes

They come in the night, flying from their graves in the form of bats. If not stopped, they will nefariously kill the members of their own families, and then go on to take the lives of others. They are vampires –corpses that rise from their coffins in the middle of the night, seeking out living victims whose blood they drink to sustain their unnatural existence. The most famous of all vampires is Count Dracula, a fictional character made famous in books and movies. Dracula is portrayed as a tall,
