(Applause) Thank you.
I would like to take a moment to thank the former President, Nicolas Maduro, the Vice President, Jorge Arreaza, and the rest of the executive board but especially all the citizens of Venezuela who supported me all along. Our country, exquisite in history, has suffered in bounteous aspects, but we have remained strong. This suffering will assuredly reach its end. As the newly elected President, I will take any action in my power to aid our country. Certainly, it will be difficult but it is possible and achievable in merely a matter of years. We have to progressively reconstruct our country thus, I will work with my board to accomplish our objectives. We will not solely be the Venezuela we once were but evolve as a country.

Feeling insecure in your own home at any given point in time and unable to go against the government without being shot or punished is candidly inexplicable. We should have the liberty to express our beliefs as long as it does not harm another individual. Now, I will like to address the tragic events that began in 2014 involving the brave students who peacefully protested. Most of these students were imprisoned, killed or domestically violated for voicing their opinion and exercising a right with the reformation of Venezuela in mind. They should not be punished for stating the flaws of our country. Instead, we should realize that they only seek change and they have honorable motives. And I, as President, will like to apologize for the unapologetic and say this cannot and will not occur again. Furthermore, the police department should supervise the enforcement of these laws and simultaneously be aware of our rights, but our system is corrupt. Therefore, I will establish a system where we supervise the police department and, ironically, enforce them to enforce the laws for the benefit of the community. Every one of you should count upon the police in case of an emergency. I want all policemen to go through the following process: a background check and alcohol test performed randomly throughout their career. This will disclose who is able to serve the community and allow those …show more content…
As of today, our country’s unemployment rate is at 7.9 percent. Moreover, the discouraged workers that gave up searching for jobs are not accounted for in these numbers. The changes that will occur in the near future will create numerous jobs. Unemployment will greatly reduce and more citizens will have faith in our country once again. With that said, you as the citizens should seek knowledge and training to obtain these jobs. I believe the unbalance of economic classes is due to the lack of opportunities. I understand that not everyone has the economic resources to seek an education, but if you demonstrate financial need there will be government assistance that could help you facilitate the
I am sure that everyone of you have heard about aliens and UFOs. Indeed, we all have heard about the famous case of aliens and UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico. Most people might be interested in the topic of aliens, but I know that the majority of you just think of it as rumours and the existence of them are impossible. Therefore, I am standing here in front all of you to make you change your perspective. I am strongly confident that I have found the evidence of their real existence to convince all of you.

When one hears the name "Emily DeSalvo," what do they think? Do they think student council president? Do they think star basketball player? Do they think captain of the high stepper or cheerleading squad? Maybe even valedictorian pops in their head. If any of these come to mind when you hear that name, than you have the wrong girl, because I, Emily DeSalvo, am none of these. I am just your average girl; nothing less, nothing more.
Twelve score and two years ago, our country boldly declared its independence, clearly drawing a line between it and the rest of the world. Its beauty has shone through our history, and our monuments in our Capitol truly reflect our heritage. Our country leads the world while also keeping safety and justice among its citizens. Now, in this day and age, the America we know is the center of independence and freedom. Especially now, when many refugees persistently seek a shelter and education in our country, we must reflect truly what our country is and how it has rippled through our lives. America is a world leader with scars of a beaten history, but victoriously crowned with liberty. Because of this, we must reflect what America is to us, and
America’s History was A huge string of events and I can tell that our land of freedom has been through tough times in all of the earth’s history. I see it now that things still aren’t as safe from hardships of then, The shooting at Las Vegas, The most recent fires, and most crimes that are still being committed. People say that they lost hope in this country, but I still have hope for the best of our country to be at its best. Though most don’t realize it, but we have a huge amount of technology that is used all the time to solve problems but is never used.
To some of us, the very prospect of having our identity stripped, our status voided, our existence undermined, can be alarming and threatening to our mental security. However, why is it that when members of a third world country are plunged into the condition of statelessness, we do not share the same sentiment? Venerable members of the United Nations Human Rights Council, I am here today to rekindle you with what I have been impassioned with. To me, what the word “citizenship” manifests is the right to conform to society. On the other hand, statelessness signifies a disoriented puzzle piece that has lost its way from the jigsaw puzzle; the lone wolf from the pack. Today’s issue that must be brought to light is the plight of thousands of Haitians
“Steve fired the gun in an effort to dislodge the suspect's grip or jam the auto pistol that the suspect stole from him. His efforts proved futile. The gun was pointed into the air and occasionally at Steve's face. As the fight wore on Steve managed to get on top of the suspect's back. At that point he retrieved his 9mm backup gun from inside his bullet proof vest pocket.
The President-elect added, "Though the tragedies, deaths and pain caused by Fidel Castro cannot be erased, our administration will do all it can to ensure the Cuban people can finally begin their journey toward prosperity and liberty. I join the many Cuban-Americans who supported me so greatly in the presidential campaign, including the Brigade 2506 Veterans Association that endorsed me, with the hope of one day soon seeing a free Cuba."
America, it’s the land of freedom and hope. Many have died for this country and many have fought for it and to keep this country on all ten toes. Not even necessarily from this country like dominicans, cubans, and even australia. America promises have rights , freedoms and many opportunities, which people from all over the world take advantage, that’s why we have such a diverse community.
“This will be a pretty detested statement, no doubt. The rightists will surely forever vilipend me for this. Yet, I have not the slightest care for that. I’ll say it, and I’ll say it loud and proud. Rest In Peace, Fidel Castro! You brought forth a many of good to the people of Cuba. Aye, he may of been a dictator, but he wasn’t Hitler-bad, nor Stalin-bad. The estimates for the men he had killed were around 2,000 and 5,000, many of those dead were themselves murderers and torturers under Batista. Cubans are in some ways better off, more salubrious, more edified, and more prosperous than most other nations. Their healthcare and their education is plenarily free, most, if not, all Cubans own houses, and all utilities are frugal. Most Cubans can
America has given a gift to this generation, in that gift is life, freedom, happiness, protection, and more, all crammed in that little box wrapped in silver paper and tied off with a red ribbon bow. She provides a barrier that shields the enemies from getting in the way of her citizens’ everyday lives, she doesn’t do it alone though. On that box there is a little note that reads, to the citizens of the United States from the armed forces. The military gave us that gift and they are also the prime reason that barrier is consistently there, they support that shield and keep it up over our country, they bless us with our rights and freedom, without the worrisome of not being safe. The stars and stripes represent this barrier, the braveness
Persuasive speech outline purpose: To persuade my audience to donate blood through the American Red Cross. Introduction:
Quentin Tarantino once expressed his dislike for our current infatuation with entertainment and smartphones. To me, watching the great films on an iPhone is an abomination. Well, Tarantino, if you're out there, you'll appreciate this new device on Indiegogo that brings the power of the Hollywood big screen to your portable devices.
For example, using a leftover coffee can for loose nails or screws, or even washing and reusing a plastic zip-loc bag instead of throwing it in the garbage. Thrift shopping is a way of reusing someone else’s unwanted goods. As I spoke about in an earlier speech about thrifting, I included many locations and ways to thrift, also the benefits to the shopper and the donator. One place in particular was shopping at the local boys and girls club. I personally shop there, keeping my eyes open for a good deal. For example, the pair of jeans that I am wearing today was purchased from this store just a few months ago. I paid only $8.00 for this pair of Lucky Jeans and according to buckle.com, a retailer for lucky jeans the retail price is $99.00 that is a savings to me of $91.00.I am not the type to worry about name brands, but quality usually does cost more. If I can get a quality pair of jeans at a fraction on the price, I am glad to shop at the thrift store. I am thankful to the person that made the donation of the lucky jeans and they can benefit from that donation. According to the IRS webpage, IRS. Gov it explains that an individual can donate items like clothing, household furniture and furnishings, a car or boat, even taxidermy. The donations are appraised, by the donator, and recorded. At the time of filing taxes if the donation equals at least $500 for the year, the donator may take advantage of the
Venezuela’s past government has a rocky path. The start of the chaos was in 1830 when they first started as a Federal Republic. From 1870-1888 Antonio Guzman Blanco was in charge. During his time in power he built infrastructure, expanded the agriculture sector, and created foreign investments. The next known leader was Juan Vincente Gomez. His dictatorship started in 1908 and continued til 1935. Gomez’s was the reason Venezuela is a major oil exporter today. Following Gomez’s term, the country decided to draft a brand new constitution finalized in 1946. A year later, this constitution led to Venezuela’s first elected, President Romulo
