What kind of volunteer retaining strategies your organization will use? Why? By definition, to volunteer is to freely offer to do something. In terms of the nonprofit sector, having volunteers for your organisation is essential to its success. Any company, especially a nonprofit, needs people working for it. While most businesses offer to pay their employees, a nonprofit functions in a different manner. Not all leaders are ethical, but those who are, usually have a good intentions in life. When it comes to creating a business, especially something such as a nonprofit, it can be a difficult upbringing. Subsequently, leaders who are trying to create the country try to exploit shortcuts to establish their company quicker. A strong leader within an organisation is one who more often than not makes the correct ethical decision, and are able to handle stressful situations in a proper manner. Those who are able to do so, often have the capability of becoming a strong representative for any organisation they are apart of. As a result, this is why one is able to see people who fit these characteristics be apart of the head of a company. Popular to contrary belief, leaders are both born and made. Most people are under the notion that a person is either born with leader tendencies. Appropriately, they are also under the impression that those who are not born with leader tendencies will never become one. Ultimately, that assumption is false. Everyday, people go through different experiences that change who they are as a person. This allows for people to continue to grow as a whole, which correspondingly could allow someone who did not have leadership abilities to develop them. It is incredibly important within the nonprofit sector because of the amount money given to the nonprofits. Each and every year, nonprofits across the globe receive millions in donations and funding in order to execute their tasks. The reason why people need to trust nonprofits with the money they are given is because the lust to use the the money for personal benefit is compelling. The leaders who run the organisation can be corrupt, so establishing rapport and a relationship with them allows for the trust factor to be there. Once it is there, the public will feel as if that nonprofit is less likely to use the money they receive for personal gain. The public view’s the nonprofit sector as one that wants to help others around them. Over the course of history, the other two sectors have been plagued with corruption, which is another reason as to why trust within the nonprofit sector is extremely important. The public needs to be able to put its faith in the fact that one of the three sectors is genuinely there to offer assistance to those in need. Overall, if trust is not built, there will be absolutely no reason for the public to put its faith in any sector, thus creating an uneasy relationship between the two.
