Globalization refers to the development of an integrated world economy, exchange of cultural views, thoughts, and products (Wikipedia, 2013). Pologeorgis (2012) states that, essentially globalization began with the exploration and settlement of new lands. Communication and transportation advances have aided in this process.

Globalization has, for better or worse, altered the economic arena for every country in the world. For many less developed countries, globalization has leveled the playing field so that their economies can compete with the larger, more developed ones such as the United States and other large western economies. For instance, technical engineers in India and China are now just as qualified as engineers in America, but at half the cost. The once large and prosperous service sector in the United States as well as telemarketing services have largely been sourced to India as a large exodus of American multinational corporations find cheaper workers who deliver comparable quality. This then seems to be the essence of globalization - businesses

Globalization is the process of integration arising from the interchange among people, ideas, and culture. Globalization shows that international trade between other countries has impacted the way the U.S is now. Most of the products we use today is made in other countries such as China, Indonesia, and South Korea. As beneficial it may sound to have products made cheap in other countries and sold in the United States at a much higher price. This is also known to have a problem to the factory workers.

It has become increasing undeniable that the process of globalization is present, and a strong force in the international market. “Globalization”, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, is defined as, “ the development of an increasingly global economy especially by free trade, free flow of capital, and the tapping of cheaper foreign labor markets”. Before the start of the 1990’s, the United States had little competition in the international marketplace, and was as strong as ever. Globalization has opened the international market to cheap land and labor outside the United States. Corporations and businesses have outsourced many jobs from the United States labor markets, at the expense of United States labor. One of the biggest questions facing America today is if it is ready for Globalization. I believe that we are not ready for a variety of reasons, but there are a few that stand out in my mind. The top factors concerning the U.S. are ineffective nature of Congress, U.S. national debt, and overseas outsourcing.

Globalization continues to be present in and influence every aspect of our lives. We now we cannot stop it, but we have not caught up to it yet. America has become complacent in their status and ability. After so long of being on top, suddenly we are not. Times have changed and the country no longer enjoys the edge it once had. We must innovate once again and invest in our future. The United States has not kept pace in the face of globalization and must get back on track to remain a leader in the trade, financial and scientific world.

Globalization is taking place across the world where people can either become globalization or stay local in the state or country. People are very controversial about globalization helping local economies and local businesses. Some people believe globalization is helping local businesses into the markets and then there are some that believe that multinational corporations hurting the local small businesses. What is globalization? “the development of an increasingly integrated global economy marked especially by free trade, free flow of capital, and the tapping of cheaper foreign labor markets” (). Globalization has started long before we were born.

Globalization can be defined as ‘international integration’, which can be described as the process by which the people of the world are unified into a single society and functioning together. This process is a combination of economic, technological, and political forces (dictionary.com).

Some view globalization as being inevitable and key to our economic future. It has the potential of making societies richer through trade, and creates knowledge and understanding to people around

Globalization is the process regarding an increasing interaction of people, states, or countries through the growth of the international flow of money, ideas, and culture. It can also be tied to business ventures where businesses or other organizations develop international influence or start operating on an international scale. The idea of globalization has become very controversial in the United States labor market. There are many pros and cons on how it affects the labor markets. Along with the labor market controversy people also debate over whether globalization is a threat or opportunity to the United States economy. Although Globalization has brought a significantly positive impact on most countries in terms of economy, culture, and politics, it also has left some drawbacks behind on the same aspects.

First we must fully understand what globalization even is and how it has come about. Globalization is said to “encompasses a range of social, political, and economic changes.” (Global Policy Forum, pg. 1) In the past centuries, humans have become more progressively closer and tuned in with each other. While the world is divided in some ways when it comes to war and politics, it is safe to say most people are comfortable with each other. It has also come to a point with technology where people are becoming much more independent like someone making a living doing private trading on their computer from their living room. People are now not forced to go out and physically pound nails for example to make a honest living since the 21st

There are many ways to look at and understand modern globalization. In general terms, globalization means that the world, as a whole, is leading to a more utopian society, meaning that the globe is become very interconnected and similarities are growing between different regions and cultures of the world. Globalization is a phenomenon that has been evolving since before 10,000 B.C. This constant evolution can cause many problems, but it can also solve many issues positively as well. Development of any country, however, seems to be a key issue when discussing globalization. Globalization and development present two different factors in the world today. Many countries are lacking in their own development while the world around them is becoming more developed and globalized. Globalization hinders development because with globalization, less developed countries depend on more developed countries to help them to sustainability and self-reliance.

The process of globalization is a process determined by different countries' need to develop international relationships. These international relationships are intended to provide countries with what they need, while providing what other countries need. Some countries require workforce and have the financial resources it requires, while other countries have this workforce that they can export and need to increase their financial resources.

There are a few important questions that need to be asked when discussing globalization and the effects it has on the developing world.

Globalization is important to understand in order to determine what worked in the past and can be successful again in the future. Our many cultures, ideals and growing technology form together to create an extremely global world. We use products that were made on the other side of the world, and are taxed on practically everything. Whether the effects of our global society is good or bad, there’s no doubt that the world is constantly changing and impacting our livelihoods, so we must adapt accordingly in order to succeed.

Globalization refers to the interconnection among countries, politically, economically and culturally. Globalization has come into existence due to the following factors: (i) betterment in transportation and communication, (ii) human and capital mobility, (iii) increasing formation and existence of NGOs and multinational corporations.
