Being Roman Catholic is what lead me to become an altar server for St. Gabriel’s Catholic church in 2008, today I continue to altar serve until I leave for Michigan State University in the fall. By participating in altar serving, it has taught me to the importance of timing along with why we should respect tradition. Altar serving has also taught me a sense of community by connecting me to members of the church I would not normally seek out. Being an altar server allows me to serve God while serving my church. Set a pink or red cloth down on the floor or small table; adorn it with white, pink, and red roses. Set out your other spell casting tools such as figure candles, oils, powders, curios, and personal items. When you set your altar, do so with focus and love. Keep your mind clear but focused on your intentions. Once you perform your spell, the altar might be still set up for several days until the ritual is complete, or for the spirits to eat and drink their offerings. When the spell is complete whether it is one day or 9 days, remove the items for proper disposal according to the ritual and take any offerings to the spirits to a tree or crossroads and properly give thanks to the spirits. Have you ever felt so out of place at an event? This is how I felt when attending a friend’s Catholic wedding. I have attended many weddings; on the other hand, this was completely different than the standard wedding I imagined. The setting of the church, the discipline the Catholics have with their religion, and the wedding ceremony was nothing I imagined when being invited to this wedding.

A few people employ a marquee their wedding gathering, while others hold the entire wedding day inside the marquee. They may hold everything from the big day lunch, wedding service, the talks, wedding gathering dinner and even the disco thereafter. They may just wander outside for the wedding photos.

The place were the ceremony took place was called Kingdom Hall. Inside the building there was a sitting place for like regular participants or members. There is also an additional room that is like a cubicle that people that have children sit there and also elderly people sit there because they might need to use the restroom and the children cry. The room is mainly for individuals that could cause distractions in the ceremony. There is also another room for people that want to make a confession or talk about their sins. In the front of the people there is like a small stage that a person talks about the topics of the day. Next to him there are 2 wooden stands for people to go and read verses of the bible. There are also chairs with tables like is one table on one side and the other table on the other side. Usually women give presentations of preaching that specifies a topic like for example they train or present how to approach another person and explain to them the bible. On the outside the place was gated and there were plants and gravel to decorate
